First time going to Planned Parenthood and I will 100% be coming back. This location really plugged me (helped me) and I have never felt so supported by strangers. Everyone here was genuinely kind, helpful and informative. Starting out with the wonderful women at the front desk they are attentive and sweet. I was told to turn my paperwork in quickly to get my appointment in before their hour lunch break. They saw me within 20 mins of walking in. I got full coverage because of my financial situation and they informed me on everything I could think of in terms of sexual safety and future coverage. They all felt like mothers to me and I could really set my nerves at ease. I walked out less than an hour after walking in and I couldn't be happier with my experience!! I really appreciate the care I received at this Planned Parenthood location. They were thorough with their explanations and their recommendations. We were at the appointment for a total of 2 hours but received a lot of care including two ultrasounds, a blood draw, and medications. Everyone was very kind as well and allowed my partner to ask questions freely which is always nice. The location and parking aren't my favorite but are convenient in downtown. They will validate an hour and a half for parking in the garage I believe. We still paid around $3 for parking with validation - not bad. read more

This office is so slow. If you make an appointment and show up EARLY, they will see you an hour late. They are ALWAYS behind. Even once you're called back, they'll have you undress and leave you sitting another hour. No one wants to be in this office for over 2 hours. The office is aesthetically lacking. Always an amazing experience at Planned Parenthood, everyone was professional and I felt taken care of.

These people are liars. Asked them about effects of a certain medication and they said they didn't know so I told them I would take some time to think. Then they all of a sudden said oh just don't breastfeed for three days the baby will be fine but might have diarrhea. Why would my child have diarrhea unless his body had to get rid of something toxic. Came home and looked up the manufacturer recommendations and it says don't breastfeed for 26 days!!!! How do the nurse and doctors NOT know this, give me false information and basically try to pressure me into doing it. I'm a grown woman so I know to follow my gut and say no, but I worry about younger woman or anyone else that easily trusts other people. They could have put my son in danger. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Waiting over an hour for a depo shot. I had a 3 o'clock appointment and didn't even get taken back till 4! Now they're telling me it'll be at least another 20 mins for them to process a pregnancy test. The staff are extremely rude and disrespectful! They told me I should go somewhere else and I should be lucky that even have planned parenthood to go to. Unbelievable how much "health care" workers can absolutely not give a blank about people! It makes me sad that people think that when they see Planned Parenthood that they automatically think abortions that is not at all the keys they provide medical services as well they are known for helping women prevent pregnancies such as birth control pills shots are Iud and much more they also provide services for men as well not just women The staff here is very great the med techs are great at what they do and the nurses and the doctors they make your visit very comfortable they also are great at listening to your needs at what you would like out of birth control not just pills they take good Pride in what they do They are really great at providing you with any exams you may need before getting on a birth control very nice if anything I wish that the protesters would stop showing pictures of abortions it makes it that much harder for people in her predicament To make that hard choice I wish they wouldn't allow this I highly recommend this establishment for anybody seeking any kind of medical care they are great at what they do I will definitely be coming back here again soon from our future visits and more great medical services to come thank you again planned parenthood for everything you guys do for all of your patients read more

I have an appointment scheduled for 11:10am. I arrived at 10:45 am just so i'm not late. Their are people who are walk ins and being seen before me. What is the point of having am appointment if you have to wait so long. They are currently remodeling the place so seats are limited and the construction sounds are very loud, also they do validate parking for 1 hr in the garage that is next to their building. I was called in at 12:45 pm and was seen buy a nurse who was very friendly, however talked a lot she can talk about anything and everything. She took my blood pressure and then asked me if i remembered what it was. The same thing with my weight. When the doctor arrived she was very professional and straight to the point. Please have your day cleared out because their is a wait so i don't recommend you come on a day you have to go to work. read more

I love this location! And I've been to quite a few Nurse Practitioners over my 39 years. These women are so real, and informative... They made it easy to be honest and I was amazed at how relaxed I was during my entire visit, even during that crazy questionnaire they have about your sexual history! I had a very short wait to be seen. Overall my appointment went much faster than expected. Faster than at my private doctors office! It's a smaller office, and you do hear the traffic sounds from the parking garage through the walls sometimes. There's a parking garage entrance right next to their entrance. My parking ended up being free (Up to $5). Just ask on your way out. The pay machine is even right there. read more

I went here for your basic check-up. If you have a green family pac card, you're eligible for free or reduced services. The wait time can be up to an hour if you don't have an appointment. I went to a planned parenthood clinic for the first time today and this location was closest to my home. Upon walking in I noticed the waiting area is small and not wheel chair friendly so my friend and mother waited outside. The ladies up front are extremely kind and welcoming. Someone even made a nice sign saying "have a WONDERFUL day". Papers were quick & easy. My appointment time was at 1:35 and I was seen at 2pm and out of there by 2:20. Planned parenthood is such a great organization. Though wait times can be long from what I hear, it provides no/low cost women's health services. However, what I liked most about planned parenthood was how welcome I felt and how it was actually less awkward than going to a private gynecologist office. The nurse and doc were so kind and actually listened to me and decided on what would be the best birth control route. This is something I've never had at a private office. I highly recommend planned parenthood. It wasn't awful like I expected it to be. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 9. &they didn't see me until 12:00pm. &it was for an Exam that they recommended for me. I said that I might have not needed it but they insisted so I trusted their words. The people helping were rude and seemed like they hated life. They were snobby towards me when I asked about my appointment. People went in and out and were typically taken in before me. I felt disrespected and taken advantage of. Especially when I did pay. I hate this organization, if you are going to try and provide services for people. Do it in a kind manner and abide by the appointment time. read more

I've been to this location a number of times. While one of the furthest from my home, I can usually get an appointment within the week, unlike other locations. During a recent visit, I had an appointment for 1:50 and was not seen until about 3 o clock. And this is coming from someone who checks in 15 minutes before the appointment, and has insurance cards ready, etc. however during that visit I was blown away with exemplary service by a nurse practitioner whose name I sadly can not recall she was thorough, answered all questions I had and went over all the information for aftercare regarding removal of a birth control device. Unfortunately, during my last visit, my experience was not quite so good. I was seen exactly on time (a first for me at this clinic) but the staff seemed to be pushing me through the appointment like cattle. Very short, not necessarily intentionally rude, but short and unfriendly sentences were used by the (Nurse? Assistant? The one who takes your info and records your height weight blood pressure etc.) Her name was Irene and she didn't smile once. She went through her questions so quickly I wasn't able to communicate to her all the services I needed that day. It was the day before thanksgiving, so understandably, I can imagine her wanting to get out of there and spend time with her family. The same goes for nurse practitioner Chris who spent no more than 5 minutes on my exam. She went through the appointment like it was a race and gave me NO opportunity to ask questions about my condition or what aftercare of treatment would look like. (It was just a yeast infection, but I had questions!!) Again, I would have wanted to get out of work, too. But I don't appreciate feeling like my health doesn't matter to the staff. Went here for the first time to get some serivces and was able to recieve the green family PACT card and was able to get free services. I went early seeing as to how i didnt have an appointment and was in fairly quickly. It was a good experience and I'd mos def go again and refer other people there as well. Worst pph of all time. I always have issues coming here and be prepared to wait at least two hours before leaving. This location has blown a vein out letting a new technician try and draw blood so I've already had problems at the capital location. This time even the experienced one had trouble and my vein wouldn't stop bleeding. The pic shows 15 min after when I took the band aid off I was so shocked. It's not supposed to bleed that much I don't think. My vein is raised and my arm is purple and sore. This particular time the dr came in and explained the treatment and then left and got the new trainee outside my door to do my shot in my hip and while outside the door I over heard her telling her it's fine I should be used to it because I'm covered in tattoos and when entering the room I explained that I could hear her conversation and she just simply said ok and then I asked if she could do the shot because I'm scared of having a new technician doing it and she tried to say I signed a waiver which I did not and then I expressed I do not want her to do it more firmly I was shaking and crying because I didn't want someone inexperienced I've had bad experiences before with new technicians and the fact that it got that far was so unprofessional and afterwards as they were leaving I made sure to tell the new technician just because someone has tattoos doesn't make it hurt any less a shot is a shot it's painful and it's wrong to assume someone's pain tolerance because of having tattoos or piercings. I felt so uncomfortable there I didn't even wait to discharge I walked out crying and pissed off that they would treat a person like that. read more

Such a terrible place. This is the first time I've ever wrote a review about anything but seeing how awful my experience was, I wanted to warn anyone considering on making an appointment here. First time I came here they were fine but the second time was absolutely horrible. I made an appointment because I was having terrible pain due to an ongoing UTI. They called me 20 minutes beforehand to see if I was coming to which I said yes. I didn't know they did that seeing they never called me in my first appointment. When I got there, the ladies up front weren't that welcoming. I had to wait over an hour past my scheduled appointment. People that came in after me were getting seen before me. I understand if you're busy but when walk-ins get seen before you it's just absolutely ridiculous. When they finally called my name, the first nurse that saw me was extremely rude and when she asked if I wanted to go on birth control I denied it due to personal reasons and bad experiences with various forms in the past and she just looked at me in a judgemental way and kept saying "so you're thinking about getting pregnant?" after I repeatedly told her no to birth control. Seriously? She then asked me to give a urine sample so I did and after that I had to wait like five minutes randomly standing in the hallway as she didn't tell me which room to go into afterwards while I heard them gossiping about patients in the other room and other employees walking past me. Finally another nurse came out and told me to follow her to another room. She was alright, at least better than the first nurse that helped me. But apparently there were some questions the other nurse never asked me. I was given a pill for yeast infection and some antibiotics to which I assume was for the UTI. It wasn't until I got to the car that I found a printed out sheet saying I also had bacterial vaginosis but the nurse never went over that with me which was kind of confusing. Oh and since I was waiting forever, I had to pay extra for parking because the parking validation card they give you only covers $5. Overall, would not recommend this place to anyone. I've talked with other girls about this place and about my experience and apparently I wasn't the only one that dealt with how awful they were. Staff are rude, there's like no space in the waiting room and I would say they're unprofessional too considering their behavior and how they gossip about patients openly. 2/10 would not visit again. read more

This is the first Planned Parenthood location I've been to. It's very easy to make an appointment. The wait wasn't too long at all to me honestly. The staff members are really friendly. They make things really simple as well. The past two times I've been here everything was really quick & fast! The doc suggested a good birth control method for me, she explained everything to me, helped me make my next appointment, & since I am new here, provided quick pregnancy testing, std testing, also suggested a pap smear since I am now of age. Nurses here are really sweet & love working with women's health. Will be coming to this location more often. read more

I'm writing this review while in the office and I can say from first impressions, it doesn't seem as bad as people said it was. My visit is for birth control and so far it's been good. The first part when they ask you questions and stuff, the lady was very nice and polite, and answered all questions I had. The nurse was extremely nice and was very well educated. Planned Parenthood is an amazing organization and resource. All doctors offices have long wait times, and yes this location is a little worse, but that is just something we have to deal with in a nation without many low-cost healthcare options and an imbalanced doctor-to-patient ratio. All the current staff are friendly and accommodating. Downtown parking sucks period, but there is a garage right next door and light rail a block away. Overall this location is one of my favorites and I would absolutely recommend Planned Parenthood for everyone and anyone! read more

Planned Parenthood is a joke! I tried to schedule an appointment for earlier in the week. Since I heard nothing from them for two days, so I went into the office to see a practitioner. Well, I was told that I should have made an appointment, which is what I did two days prior with no response! They also seem to want you to explain OUT LOUD why you are there. Both times I have been here it has been a decent experience. If you set your appointments online, and show up early to your appointment then you should be fine. Sometimes appointments take longer than expected and get backed up. My appointment maybe got backed up 20 minutes once. I could definitely imagine that things could get backed up an hour or so. At this location, the workers are on point and are always trying to keep the ball rolling. You can park next door in the garage and get your ticket validated, so that is a plus. Overall, I am happy that women can visit planned parenthood and take control of their family planning. read more

Had an appointment at 10am and I was called around 10:30 ish but besides all that I was a new patient here getting me BC implant and the procedure itself was fast and not painful at all. Overall, I'm appreciative of the fact I've been provided free birth control, and for the most part the nurse practitioners seem very knowledgable, and willing to answer questions. HOWEVER, everyone I've dealt with on the phone is rude, and gives me attitude. I'm sure they have a lot of difficult people to deal with but that's no reason to be rude to someone like me who is just trying to get a refill if my birth control pills. read more

Where do I want to spend every waking minute of my Saturdays? Definitely not in the painstakingly boring and dreary front office of this Planned Parenthood. However, this clinic seems to think I love spending time there, watching Shrek on repeat. Even more so, I love dealing with the attitude-ridden receptionists. I travel from Roseville just to get seen by this clinic and the employees are not considerate of the fact that patients have to invest at least three hours of their time to get the treatment they need. I don't feel as though patients should have to wait two hours AFTER their original appointment time just to get a refill pack of birth control. They could probably see the patients who are just getting refills before the procedures that take a much longer time. How long does it take to print out a patient sticker and put it on the pill packs that you have sitting in a room? You would think it wouldn't take longer than 10 minutes, but apparently it's "a minimum of a two-hour wait.' One might feel more inclined to donate if better service were provided. Also, it might help if the receptionists weren't so rude when you can't donate. Like, you don't need to give me a lecture about how you are providing low costs services when I barely have enough money to buy food for me and my family. read more
