The worst facility I've been to. People there do not seem to care about their jobs or their patients. Additionally I tried calling 5 times during open hours and was either hung up or somehow disconnected before speaking to someone. When I was finally able to call it took 12 minutes for someone, in which I then asked for my pharmacy to be sent my prescription and it was never done. read more

The front desk and nurse were great, but the doctor seemed like she could not be bothered with patient care. She saw me for less than 2 minutes and did not even ask me any questions except if I was interested in birth control. She did a 5 second exam and then left the room in an apparent hurry. On my patient portal it says they offered a breast exam and that I denied...but they never offered it to me. My patient portal also says I reported no issues when I did in fact report issues. read more

I came here to get my IUD removed and a different brand inserted. I normally would have gone through my gynecologist, but they couldn't get the new IUD in house for 4-6 weeks and in that time I was switching to an insurance plan that they did not accept. Planned Parenthood ensured me that I'd be able to get the IUD the day I called so I made an appointment and headed over. Everyone was so kind, from the front desk staff, to the nurse who handled my intake, and of course the doctor. They were very forthcoming with information and happily answered all of questions. I did have to wait a bit for the doctor, but the nurse came in and apologized and let me know they hadn't forgotten about me (a small but impactful gesture that I appreciated). IUD insertion can be uncomfortable/ painful and the doctor talked to me throughout the procedure, both letting me know what she was doing and changing the subject to distract as much as she could. I absolutely loved my experience at this PP and would be so happy to go back!! read more

Came in to get my IUD removed and a annual check up . As you can expect I was super nervous but The dr came in SO HAPPY AND UPBEAT. My nervousness had went away !! She was super Informational and gently and explained what she was doing when she was doing it and seemed to really care about what I was saying. For sure the best place she took her time. Went there for an appointment the staff was a little stand offish mostly the front desk staff. Doctor was somewhat helpful I just had an idea of the place being more comforting I guess? and most definitely more helpful. I don't even think they train their staff on how to speak to you which is definitely important especially because they do see a lot of younger people and deciding whether or not to have a child or not is a pretty big decision when 50% of their patients are still children themselves. Anyways called back today to follow up and get some information the receptionist again was super rude and not helpful at all nor did she care to help. Called July 25th before 2.. she really just sounded like she had somewhere better to be and rushed me off the phone. Currently looking for other clinics as the Patchogue one also have nice little attitudes too. read more

I had the privilege of visiting Planned Parenthood in Riverhead today with my daughter. I was curious about the new health center because I had read about the state-of-the-art facility and all it has to offer. I was greeted by a very cheerful receptionist who answered my brief questions as I settled myself in the waiting room. The area was warm, bright and welcoming. I soon was welcomed by the manager who gave me a tour of the back area. From the staff room to the exam rooms everything flowed beautifully and gave me a sense of privacy with every step. The consult rooms, exam rooms and bathrooms were modern, clean and inviting. I came to Planned Parenthood in the hopes that my daughter would feel comfortable receiving care here, but upon chatting with the clinician and learning more about the facility and the services offered, I left realizing I too want to be a patient at Planned Parenthood. read more
