If I could give this Company a !ZERO! I would Buyer BEWARE! Marcelo is a LIAR and FRAUD! The day I called to have someone come out to give me a quote. He answered the phone very quickly and was at my house that same day. His price was good, probably too good as I now know why. He took my old shutter and I'm pretty sure he used parts from my old shutter that he was not authorized to do so. He said he was doing a color match, but when I asked for my shutter back, he said that it was thrown in the trash he came he installed the new shutter and gave me a discount for the other shutter he took. He left that day and everything looked aesthetically right. Because it had been cold and I typically run my AC I hadn't opened that particular window. So I went to open this window and could not push it open because the louvers are blocking the window from sliding open. The dimensions are completely off and now I consider this a very scary fire hazard I called him. I left several voicemails texted him several times and even emailed him. To no reply then one day I called him from my home phone and he answered. He was so nice and very quick to tell me he would be getting over to my house to remedy the problem. I said I really really appreciate this. Thank you so much. I just want to be able to open my window. It's Not been installed correctly. I waited two weeks to where he never called me and never showed up. I started to text him again asking why he was avoiding me now... This is what I'm going to say to you he seems to have only customer Service skills when he first shows up to your job to give you a price quote but his material and his installation are utter crap! DO NOT under any circumstance allow him to take an old shutter with any excuse for him to measure or match paint. This will be a lie! Honestly, I feel bad for anyone who uses this scam artist! What I will tell you, as I've already reported him to the Better Business Bureau and have contacted the city his business resides in And. They are well aware of him and his antics. BUYERS BEWARE! Very poor customer service! When Marcello gets compensated for his job, no matter what kind of problem you have with his product right after installation 1 or 2 months in, good luck to bring him back to fix his poor installation. Later on found out his prices were higher than others. read more

The shutters that came with my place recently lost a staple that holds the slat to the vertical controller thingy. Since march of 2016 when I had Plantation Shutters install shutters in the windows of my new home shutters have fallen out of the windows. I have called Marcelo more times than I can remember and he never calls back. Very poor materials, very poor workmanship and the worst service I have ever had from a company. Poor service. Marcelo came out and gave me a quote, but I later had questions. I tried to e-mail him, no response. I tried calling his office (never answers, no answering machine). I tried his cell, and left several messages which weren't returned. Once I got him in person and he promised he'd call me back the next day, but never did. Then I finally talked to him and he said I could come to his shop to see samples the next morning. I did, at the appointed time, only to be met by someone else who said, "Marcelo never comes in for at least another hour or two." And no one else there could answer my questions. So I wasted a trip. What terrible customer service. I can't get in touch with them even when I WANT to give them money. That doesn't speak well for any after-sales issues I might have. I'm going to someone else who actually cares about their customers. Sorry. I hate writing one-star reviews but I feel like I've bent over backwards to try and get in touch with this company, but they don't seem to care. read more

I had explained to Marcelo that I would be ordering shutters at different times. His first one was done nicely. The two stars are for the good start. Later, when I called to make other orders. He became non responsive, not returning my calls. I do not understand why? I paid him immediately and have been respectful. After a few months, today, I called to order two more shutters. He picked up and coldly said, " I'm busy now." I asked, " When can we talk since I want to place another order." He hung up. Just like that. I believe this guy has no respect for women specially older women. " Actions speak louder than words." So, here is my one piece of advice to him: "Life is not only this moment when you feel full of yourself." Simple, just call the client back or have someone do it for you. Tell the client, " I'm sorry that I can not return your call. I have had some orders and am unable to take any new orders for 10 months, 10 years.. If you like to wait, leave your information and we call you when we can. Right now, we don't know when. Or if you want to reject someone, because they remind you of your mother that you hate, just tell them, " Sorry, I can not take any new orders." As simple as that. read more
