I really have to thank Kara Window Coverings for elevating the look of my home. I had a fantastic experience all around with Sam. Ever since his first visit to my home, I trusted Sam's expertise and taste and knew that he would do the best job for my windows. I didn't know exactly what I wanted for my window coverings, but he provided me the best recommendations that I am very happy that I ended-up going with. I really appreciated that Sam had a strong eye for what would look good in my house. I got roller blinds done for my kitchen counters, sliding panel tracks for my patio sliding door, blackout honeycomb shades behind my existing bedroom shutters, and new shutters for my remaining bedrooms. The window coverings look amazing. I included photos in my review, but it looks even better in person. Even my father, who is not impressed by anything, kept making comments about how nice it looks. I did get some lower quotes from other window covering providers, but I found my experience with Sam and Kara Window Coverings to be very much worth it, with much higher quality products than other providers. I appreciated how detailed Sam was in making the measurements, and he kept me updated every step of the way as the order was put in and shutters were being built. I also found his installer, Fred, to be very competent and pleasant to work with. There were a few things that happened after installation that made me respect Sam and his team even more. In one of the kitchen roller blinds, there was a tiny hole in it that bothered me, and Sam immediately replaced ordered new blinds and had Fred re-install them. A few months after install, the sliding panel track handle fell off, and within less than a day, Fred came over to fix it. I have worked with Sam on two whole house projects over several years. I have found Sam to be extremely reliable, diligent, detail oriented and professional. Of course this is in addition to Kara Window Coverings carrying the highest quality window treatment products. When I changed my mind about a window treatment design after I had placed a formal order with Sam, Sam nonetheless was very flexible in allowing me to change the order and accommodate my request. On another project my timeline was slowed down considerably by my contractor, and Sam stored the products I had ordered from him for a couple of years without a peep of discontent. When a shade needed a minor adjustment years after installation Sam didn't hesitate to come back to my home himself and make the adjustment without charge, even though I offered to pay him for his time. We asked Kara to fit 2 automatic shades in our kitchen and Sam helped us out. He was highly responsive and friendly and provided a competitive quote. The installers were great! Especially with the long wall of verticals in our family room which was a tricky situation. A few of the plastic vane clips broke in our kitchen 2 weeks ago & Sam had the manufacturer send out a bag of new clips. Apparently, the manufacturer does not make our particular blind anymore yet had some clips of that style. Sam was so nice & responsive on the phone and had the clips sent to us at no charge! Sam's company is so wonderful!!! I was searching for shades and didn't know my options and he was so patient with me. I was convinced that I wanted roman woven and cellular sucked. Sam was so patient with me and explained that there are different options than the one inside my mind. First of all... Sams customer service is a step above ALL the rest. He came to measure our windows (and there are 11 large windows and three sliders) while we were still in escrow. To me, that's dedication. Doing the work without knowing he'd get the business due to the fact we didn't even own the house yet. The reviews here are accurate. I called and Sam contacted me the same day. He did an install on my rental. He took the measurements, went over the types of styles I would need for each room, placement of attachments, mounting, pull strings...everything. He then showed me examples of the styles and materials, colors, and linings for each. It took me a few weeks to decide and then I contacted him again. He remembered who I was and the quote I was given. He ordered the shades/blinds for me and they were in a week earlier than he stated. I tried getting quotes from the competitors. The responses were less than stellar. The competitors told me 'order now, I'm going on vacation', quotes 50% more than the quote from Kara, 'we don't do small jobs (5 windows)', 'you have to come by our show-room', 'our hours are limited so try to catch us when we are here', 'I hope you don't need them in a hurry'. His first visit was to take measurements and show us samples of both horizontal and vertical blinds. When he sent a quote and we approved, he came back again to verify his original measures.
