Nestled in the heart of Korea Town in Duluth, Georgia, my first impression was truly impressive. Guided by Ms. Mun, the Community Relations Director, we toured the facility and enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared for the residents. It was exceptional. If my late parents had lived in Georgia, this is exactly the kind of place I would have wanted them to call home. Eben Silver Town is not designed for low-income seniors, but rather for those who can afford $4,000-$5,000 per month, which includes meals. Their plans are also flexible, allowing residents to customize accommodations and services as needed. The community offers studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, with optional à la carte services such as housekeeping, weekly laundry and linen, medication management, and monitoring and cueing assistance. On-site amenities include the Fit In Motion physical therapy clinic, a fitness room, yoga studio, café, theater, rooftop garden and putting green, kids' room, party room, library, and chapel.

He was a challenge, especially at night when he had his times mixed up. The staff was firm but caring, and they made certain my dad was safe. They made the most challenging and stressful part of my life much more manageable, because I was confident that they cared for my dad as much as I did. The facility is just like someone's home, a very clean home. Meals are home-cooked. The staff know each resident, and they are always, ALWAYS patient and kind. There are activities. Staff manage medications impeccably. The health, safety, and comfort of the residents is at top of mind of every staff member. It's impossible for me to sing their praises high enough. If you need peace of mind for your aging loved one, you cannot go wrong with Mayfield Oaks. They are your extended family.

Helen the owner has gone out of her way to work with the in's and outs of this terrible disease. I can't recommend this place enough. Mayfield Oaks has been a life saver for our family. After a long period trying to find the best option for our mom and having to move in and out of various properties, we realized she just could not adapt well to the larger communities. The resort-like atmosphere of those places was very appealing to us, as younger adults, but once you got past the flashiness, it was always missing was the love and care you get when living in a smaller place. The attention our mom receives now is better than even we could give her in our own home. She fell in love with Mayfield because it reminded her of her own house and she feels like she is living with family - and the staff has truly become our extended family. It's been the single greatest choice we have ever made.

We looked and interviewed so many memory care properties and none compared to TCH. It was quite stressful and frightening to realize that we were at this point in her life and would have to trust in others to take care of her. We love the staff and so does our mother. They treat her with such kindness and care. It is such a relief to have such wonderful people care for our mother. They treat her like she is their family member, not just a resident at the property they work at. During COVID, it is especially hard as we are not able to visit on a regular basis and do the things we typically would for her however the staff is always there to assist us in whatever we need. During this disturbing time they have provided my mother and the other residents with a safe and healthy environment and adhere to all the health guidelines. I would highly recommend making this your loved ones new home if you should be looking for an assisted living/memory care property. The quality of care provided here will truly make the transition easier for you and your loved one.

I was extremely impressed with the facility and location, but it was the staff that really made my decision. They are thoughtful, and love all of the residents. Mom could not be happier as she is very social and loves the multitude of activities. She does not drive anymore, but has plenty of opportunities to go wherever she needs. Mom has already made many new friends so she is never lonely. She is constantly saying how happy she is and how she wished she had moved here 10 years ago.

I am so thankful that Shelley was persistent in sending me emails inviting me to the upcoming events. That is what led me to choose Oaks when it was time for Mom to move.

Mom's room is always clean, her laundry is done several time a week and is folded/put away for her. Her bed linens are changed once a week, the trash in her room is emptied daily. I would love to live here one day. Andrew, the Executive Director, is always out and about. He knows all of the residents by name and knows details about each one. He knew me by name before I had even moved my mom in. The Executive Directors at two other communities where my mom lived prior to the Oaks never left their offices and didn't know my name, even though I visited 4-7 days a week. Lynne, the Horizons activities director, is amazing. She has so many great things planned, my mom loves going for rides on the community bus, even if it's just the "scenic joyride" around Woodstock. My mother has lived at three other AL and memory care communities and the Oaks is by far the best. I visited four communities before selecting the Oaks. I also asked around a lot, talked to many people in the industry, including the caregivers, CNAs, etc. They all said how great the Oaks is and how much they would love to work there if given the chance.
