((I don't care how u look and I love piercings but for the sake of this employee getting held accountable I'm describing her)) The shorter lady with piercings all over her face looked at me, rolled her eyes and said "I don't know! Why don't you ask the people in line behind you if THATS OKAY" while throwing her hand up. ... there was one couple in line behind me... I was so stunned and caught off guard that I just said it's fine don't worry about it. But I really thought I was in a fever dream. She ended up splitting the transactions without saying anything but she oddly threw the receipts in the paper bag forcefully and was huffing the whole time. I'm thinking What the actual bleep is going on?????!!?? It's New Year's Day and I was going into this thanking the employees for being open just trying to shop for fish with my dad. Well I'm really glad I did use the $5 coupon because I'll never be going back there. Just don't go here. I've never experienced such awful customer service before.

We arrive and the store should have been open my husband and I get to the door where an older man is standing looking out into the parking lot who I assume is the owner and we tried to walk in and the door was locked and the man turns and walks away and stands behind the counter, clearly he saw us and chose to completely ignore us. We look at the hours posted by the door to double check when the store opens and we were there at the time they had listed. We went back to the car and sat for about 10min waiting and watching to see if the man would come back and unlock the door which he never did so we left. It's a shame the guy didn't want our business and didn't feel like opening the door on time because I usually spend a good bit of money when buying fish since I have 7 tanks but oh well their loss. I wouldn't return due this negative experience and after reading so many other reviews about how rude and unhelpful the man there is. I will continue supporting House of Tropicals and recommend them since I have never had anything but good service there.
