(They did not disappoint.) Things I loved about the Grand: - Easy parking within a block (or two) via street and dirt lots. All of it was free parking. - Not fighting huge traffic other than I-580-EB on an evening. - Along a really cute downtown area that was about 3-4 blocks by 3 blocks. - Cheap snacks at the Grand that included beer on tap, wine, sodas, bottled water, candy, and nuts, all of which was very inexpensive by comparison to the Orpheum in SF. (Water, soda - $3; candy - $3; most alcoholic beverages were $6-9, IIRC.) - All great seating once you get inside. I didn't feel like there was a bad seat in the house. - Beautiful interior, just as ornate as The Orpheum. - Awesome lighting and sound, unlike the Golden Gate Theater, which has had terrible sound in the last two years. - Not a huge line to get to the restroom. - A space indoors for merch sales, for groups like All-4-One that choose to sell things. There's nothing critical or even nit-picky to say about my visit here. 5 stars. I had a great time, and I will be back. Tracy, y'all are so lucky!

I enjoy every visit, every show, play and every just random walk up on the weekend. Tracy is lucky to still have this theatre around. I hope more artists come around. Only issue is making the website more user friendly.

First day, when we met KARAN, we were amazed with his energy level and his teaching style. Our son felt so good in first class, he started to begin Bollywood dances with full interest. From first day to now, he never missed a day without doing Bollywood dance. Rapa team takes interest in each kid so they perform well on recital day. Best thing about RAPA, they prepare kids to perform on Stage twice a year. After 10 weeks session, kids have to perform on Stage. It gives kids confidence, encouragement and skills to perform on stage. Their shows are so wonderful, Professionally choreographed. We always attend their shows and feel Bollywood experience. We are very grateful to RAPA team for giving their years of experience through classes. We definitely recommend RAPA to all who are looking to learn Bollywood style dance. They do offer free first class. Surely, take first class. They do offer adult classes too. Here are the results of RAPA Classes: After first 10 weeks session: youtube.com/watch?v=OAK6... Our funeral…read morehome director connected us with Dr. Pazo as I requested a bagpipe player at the graveside portion of my mother's funeral this August. Mom (and I) have Scottish heritage and she grew up with her Scottish Dad singing Highland songs to her and in turn sang them to me. So it would be an understatement to say this music was a very important component of Mom's funeral service. Dr. Pazo phoned me beforehand to get a sense of what the service would be like and what our musical requests were. He was compassionate, kind, and efficient at a time when I was in shock from my mom's death but needed to call on my executive functioning skills for funeral planning. Definitely a challenging time but I was so relieved that the bagpipes would be played at my mom's funeral. When the day arrived it was an incredibly moving and powerful experience to arrive at the graveside and see Dr. Pazo in his full regalia and hear the haunting sound of the resonant bagpipes which filled the air. The bagpipes and the beautiful songs Dr. Pazo played gave a weight and power, a somber honor to my mother's life that I and my family will always remember. We grateful for Dr. Pazo's artistry, empathy, and power as he played the bagpipes. Some time after mom's funeral I watched Queen Elizabeth's funeral. When I heard and saw the bagpipe procession, I said, "I think we had a better bagpipe player at mom's funeral." That's how great Dr. Pazo is! List of Songs Played: Prelude: On Eirin's Green Shores, My Home, O Flower of Scotland, My Bonnie Lass, Skye Boat Song, The Isle of Innisfere, You Raise Me Up, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God Processional : O Danny Boy Commital Song: Auld Lang Syne Potslude: Abide With Me, Going Home
