I needed a toilet pick up and replacement install and a sink fixture repaired. Get this, when I placed a call to them, they actually answered the phone - I wasn't told I had to go online and schedule a service for some category that was not relevant to my needs. The lady that took my call was Nancy. Not only did she get me an appointment for the very next day, but she told me what it would cost and exactly what they would be doing along with any issues that could potentially arise with this kind of replacement installation. Two young men showed up the next day, on time, with protective sleeves for their feet, and walked me through what they were going to do. They also came prepared for troubleshooting the issues Nancy and I had discussed the previous day. I could tell from talking to them that they were competent and knowledgeable. They were also fast, efficient and charged me exactly what I was quoted. They were clean, respectful of my house and courteous to me. Steve is not only completely unreliable, and incompetent he is also an absolute fraud and refuses to take any accountability. Steve personally misused my credit card for materials to only find out he used it to purchase thousands of dollars supporting other projects (not related to mine whatsoever). In addition, he was buying tools on my credit card, I guess he felt it was my responsibility to outfit his crew. Steve also stole material that I had personally purchased to use on other job sites I presume. The work he did, I have since found out it wasn't to code and ultimately had to be scrapped. I caught Steve in numerous lies and when questioned about it he would deflect, and make excuses (the list seriously never ends). I have worked with numerous contractors here in Austin and Steve is by far the absolute worst. Steve claimed he would have my project completed in 6 weeks, and even posted to social media boasting about this but after months of lies, deception, and unfulfilled promises I cut him loose and hired a real pool builder to fix his mistakes and finish the project. Even after all of this, I gave Steve several opportunities to make it right and of course, he's resorted back to his never-ending antics. I have since spoken to a number of his so-called employees (subcontractors) and it's the same story, over and over and over. Do yourself a favor and run as far and as fast as you can away from Steve and Showtime Pools and Backyards.

For being a really busy and 'booked up' guy, somehow Joe always has time to pop by within a day when we have a need for a plumber. On several occasions Joe has saved our toilets, hes installed our new dishwasher, replaced our outside water faucets, fixed a leak that was in the house because of the previous outside faucets, expertly handled a gas leak that involved the city (no for real), fixed and replaced a water line that was broken by an inept Best Buy delivery/installation, replaced our water heater and even gotten our whole sewage system back up and running. Joe is kind, generous, absolutely knowledgeable in his field and doesn't try to upsell you. If he mentions something needs doing, it most definitely needs doing.
