Kind of not surprised that this place only has 2 stars. I wanted to see if they had any jeans that would fit me. Im a bigger girl and didnt have too many jeans that were my size. The prices here need to be re-evaluated because they are outrageous on most items. Some of the shoes were in terrible condition, dirty etc and priced as new. Clothing, alot was priced as new or more than the price of brand new. Especially if they pay people $1 an item, how do they justify $40 for a basic tank top that costs less than half that at Target. I did find a very comfy bra there for $10. But I don't see how they can justify their prices especially in this area. read more

Brought in some clothes to sell. They said it would be about 30-40 minutes. Came back about an hour later and they were still not done. As I walked in, they were holding up one of the shirts I brought in and were laughing and making fun of it. Do not recommend selling here unless you want to be made fun of. read more

Don't know why it's rated so low. Have gone in 5 different times, 2 to sell and they are great everytime. Both times i've sold i've gotten a very reasonable amount of money for my clothes. They also have great selections of clothes and are always nice and friendly with the service. read more

browsing while waiting, notice torn clothes, stains and pants covered in hair and dirt. then refused due to a mysterious smoke odor the last few times even tho the clothes brought in were washed dried and bagged up before coming in. I look a lot different that the other cus timers and I'm heavier! I feel discrimination and discomfort and I will not be back to this store. thanks! read more

Great variety of clothes, but shitty service. Stood at the checkout with 4 girls behind it. They didn't stop taking tags off clothes, even though making eye contact. Woman asked me if I needed to check out, I said yes, and she asked for one of them to check me out. They all looked at me then her, awkward silence and continued to take tags off. Made the comment of no one wants to check me out I'll leave my clothes and leave. They came and checked me out after. clearly too young to manage a store alone read more

The inventory was very nice and reasonable. Staff was a whole different matter. They did not take customers at the register in order. It was like they were talking their friends first. No smile or friendliness. And for the record a sports bra is still a bra not outerwear. Unprofessional at the least. Also I do not need to see employees but cheeks again not appropriate for the work place. read more

Had a couple pair of almost new brand name jeans (Lucky) but they did not fit anymore.Took them there, and the store employee tore into them and then said with a smirk they were no good. You could tell she judged me before I even talked to her. I'm in my 30s, and I guess they are aiming at a different customer group. Younger people walked in, and they were greeted with smiles. I brought in a lot of clothes and they only were interested in about 1/4 of them. Not a big deal but as I looked through the bin of clothes they wanted to buy she mentioned a shirt that wasn't in the bin. After I asked about the particular shirt they dug through the clothes they didn't want (which were neatly folded and returned a mess) and couldn't find it. It wasn't until after I returned home to reorganize my clothes that I realized at least two of my shirt were not accounted for in either bins. The receipt was not itemized so I have no way of proving this, and over all the store was a wreck. I'm sure it was unintentional but I can see how this can happen in such a disorganized mess. read more

Their clothes are smelly and the employees are short and rude. Not a friendly atmosphere at all. I traded in some clothes and they acted like their crap didn't stink . Will not go again. Go to clothesline. It's much better. read more

Yeah, the other reviews are correct about selling your clothes. I'm fully aware that it's corporate's "high standards" or whatever and it's not the employee's fault. Still not worth selling your clothes to this place. Don't bring in a $60 jacket to sell because they will literally only give you $3:50 for it! read more

Every time I go in to one of these Plato's Closet stores their clothes look so out of date with the styles of today! The clothes don't seem to have much of a turn over. The racks are packed with old styles and the clothes smell. The shoes there look so outdated. I don't see how they stay in business! The people who do work at this store seem short and rude like your clothes to them are the worst for them to purchase. I really don't think they know what clothes are in style by looking at what is available in their stores! Maybe, it's just me, but I will not be going back. read more

dont bother going if it is not brand new never been worn with the tags still on (in which case why bother getting rid of it i dont usually buy clothes i dont plan on wearing) and dont bother trying to sell to them if it isnt high end designer clothes!!! this place is a scam and the employees are rude and stuck up!!! as far as buying clothes you can find "gently used, name brand" clothes at goodwill for half the price that plato's even sells them for i have actually found new clothes on clearance cheaper than there. read more

Nice selection of clothes but it seems that the employees hate it when you walk in, they give a very forced "welcome to plato's." They seem very annoyed when you go to check out... this doesn't make me want to come back. read more

I enjoy going into Plato's closet because the Staff are friendly and I can find unique things. I like the friendly and warm welcome as I walk in. I appreciate how informative the staff is. The dressing rooms are clean. read more

I have went here many times to sells clothes and have had crappy experience every time! every time I went I had many name brand clothes and in perfect condition and they either took one or two things or none at all! and when I did I only got two dollars for each item it wasn't worth the drive! also the first time I went there the girl who talked to me about the clothes was very rude and acted like I was scum! The people who work here have the nastiest attitudes I have ever seen. It's laughable they act stuck up working there though. Oh and don't bother taking any clothes there, unless you have some high end designer clothes...you are not getting any money from them. Will never go here again. read more
