If you understand Plato and their closet maybe you can explain it to me. Dozens of people show up with their gently used clothing to see how much Plato will buy them for. Then Plato sells them to the public at a profit. Right? We dropped off a hefty bag full of clothing, some things worn a dozen times, maybe. Some things never worn. Two pairs of ladies heels brand new in the box. After a half hour of lunch we receive a text they have finished appraising. Nothing. We don't want any of it. Mrs. E then explains that even if you gave us two bucks a pair for the heels, they retail around $100 each you could easily get $50. Still nothing. So it looks like we think of something different or the good folks at Volunteers of America are getting good stuff. Is it not a store for Boomers? Or is it that the purchaser was around 20 years old...and it's not a store for boomers? Either way. It was a waste of our time. They seem to have quite the selection in used clothing. POOR SERVICE!!! I get that each drop off takes time to go through in order to get an estimated worth.. but don't tell a customer to come back around a certain time only to still have to wait an additional 40 minutes!!!! Dropped off clothes at 2p Saturday; employee said it would take 1 1/2 hrs ...left to do errands and came back by 3:45p....was told my drop off not ready and when I asked how much longer was told 45min to an hour!!! Took my stuff back and will have to try a different location or unfortunately came back to this one since there aren't a lot of Plato's Closet around. read more

I'm never able to sell my items for very much and they rarely even take them. Dressing rooms aren't the cleanest. I won't be taking my clothes here again but I truly have the best luck here. Great selection and I always leave with more than I intended on buying. They carry some of my favorite brands and I always find hidden gems here! I come about 2 times a month and always walk away with something great. Love this store. read more

This place is laughable! I'm sure it'll be closed down in the matter of a year max. it is by far the worst platos in Ohio to sell your clothes to. every other platos will give you 4-5 hundred for what I always take in and this place will offer me 150 ... I'm telling you it's a joke! Don't waste your time go somewhere else. read more

I used to love going int this store but lately I haven't been able to find anything I'm looking for. The store is so small and there trying to put as much stuff out as they can which makes the rakes over crowded. It's just hard to find anything anymore there. read more

The WORST of all the Platos closets, I really dislike all of them but this one is exceptionally bad! It is the smallest of all locations, the most unfirendly staff and you can be lucky if they buy a handful of items off you when you bring in 2 huge bags like I did. You can expect about $2 per item!!! if you are lucky. I got $3 for brand new shoes, and about $1 for shirts, its a real rip off and you leave feeling like crap. Judging by what they have on their racks, I don't know why they didn't accept my items, a real let down! read more

So me and mother were going about our rainy day to go sell some clothes. So, we packed up a few bins of really nice, high end, brand names & good conditioned items. We were waiting as they went through the clothing & shoes. Twenty minutes later we got $11 back. We won't be attending this chain of retail EVER again. We did not appreciate the rejection of our very nice things. Goodwill will be VERY appreciative. Customer service was good & clean. Clothing requirements were just too picking. read more

I was there to sell an assortment of clothes and did make $40 off a small batch. However, it is not worth it with how rude their staff is and feeling like you're about to get shot. The people who work here are incredibly rough looking, rude, and the customers in the store... yikes. I dropped my clothes off and they never called me and I remember 20 mins till they close, and if I didn't come they would've thrown my clothes away. What a joke. read more

I have brought clothes here in the past to try and sell. They never would buy anything from me, citing multiple reasons, but 'soiled' was always checked. The last time I tried I had new items, most with tags, and they still would not buy, citing 'soiled'. I can't help but feel offended by this response. Is this the response they always use on everything/everyone or for specific clientele? I now sell on Ebay or donate to Salvation Army. They have lost this customer and future customers as well. read more

So, I don't know what most folks look for when shopping at Plato's closet. I understand I'm getting pre-owned clothing and I'm cool with that. This particular location is clean and you can normally find really good bargains on great items. I prefer getting things here for my pre-teen as she is a different size every couple months, so it totally saves on everything. And to top it off, she adores everything I buy her from here. The best time to shop (in my experience) is in the later evening but I'm sure that varies. The staff is really nice and helpful every time I frequent this location, it's a great experience! read more

I'll give them credit for having much more of a selection but I haven't really see foot in this place since my last bad experience, which was maybe 4 years ago. Anyways, they give me this speech about we are only taking name brand stuff. I have a tub full of American Eagle and Hollister stuff(many with tags still on them) plus a few other big names. They took the 3 dollar pair of walmart shorts, the 2 dollar old Navy shirt, and 2 pairs so SO shorts. So ironically I made money on the deal since I bought all the items on sale in the first place. I spend a lot of money there, come often, always try to be polite and friendly, it is clear they do not value me as a customer. I feel cheated and rip off. They are more worried about squeezing an extra few bucks out of me, then having a happy long term customer. read more

I've seen so many bad comments, I want to say that I have grown up believing that places like that were bad and gross. I love this place, I plan to go there for back to school shopping. It has its befits like the people who help me buy my clothes it will help them spend less money and 2nd I can get more clothes almost 3x with the prices they have. This place is such a joke. The employees are not friendly at all. I took a huge basket of very nice name brand clothing and the only things they wanted was a dress with the $63 price tag still on it, a pair of jeans and a hoodie. They insulted me with a $7 offer, which I obviously declined. The clothes they sell are way over priced. One time I was in there and some of the clothes on the rack reeked of body odor. They will tell you your clothes are "out of style", yet you will see the most hideous sweaters hanging up that a grandma wouldn't even wear. I will not be back, it was a huge waste of time and gas. Be better off to sell unwanted clothing on eBay. read more

They are THE WORST location to sell to. Always give them an extra hour when you drop clothes off- they are never on time with the slot they give you. I only had about 20 articles of clothing and they took over 3 hours when they told me 2 hours. It's very inconvenient when you have other things to do that day, let alone having to drive there and back three times. Went in to buy a couple pairs of jeans and shoes. Their credit card machines were down. Not only did they not recognize me once in the twenty minutes I was standing there...they didn't even apologize for the wait. Alex was behind the counter smartmouthing everyone that came by and being extremely inappropriate. Jasmine was the only help and she was on the phone with tech support the entire time. read more
