Ew. This is the worst Platos Closet I have ever been to and I have been to at least 10 different locations. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Legit every single article of clothing I was interested in had either a stain on it, had a hole it it, or had major pilling. Not sure why they would by such disgusting stuff in but that's their problem. In addition to their horrible selection the staff was insanely obnoxious and loud. They played with the music throughout my entire hour of me looking through the store not letting a single song complete without changing it to another one. They were yelling and I could hear their entire conversations, very unprofessional. I love Platos and often find nice things there, however this particular location is gross. They may be selective in selling but for a good reason / I always find "steals" and great clothes there for very reasonably priced. Hailey was so helpful and friendly and even gave me free style tips. Highly recommend...I don't wanna ever pay full priced elsewhere anymore!! I'll be back. read more

Almost EVERY comment mentioned how stuck up and rude the staff there are and I'm sure it's no surprise I too AGREE big time with all the bad reviews about the staff's MAJOR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS you would think the person in charge of hiring would handle that wth that seriously baffles me I guess they must figure as long as their still getting business in spite of the complainers regarding staff's lack of social skills why bother???? Bad for selling, okay for buying. This Plato's Closet is currently very full with clothes, so selling right now probably isn't a good idea. Buying here is okay, but it takes longer than your normal shopping trip. Once you get through the racks full of Target clothes, you can find a few Forever 21 tops. Their jeans are expensive though. Used Rock and Republic jeans are not worth $80. Most jeans here are from a couple years ago, too. Good for occasional small trip shopping. Employees are fairly rude. One was helping us sell clothes, then she just left because it was her break. I totally understand, but walking out on a customer is rude. Overall, an okay store. I personally never want to shop here again, but I believe it's possible to have a good experience here. But, there are better stores out there. read more

I have been putting off writing a bad review, hoping that they would improve. I would give negative stars if possible. I always get the feeling they dont want me there, and my presence is such an annoyance. One time i even got a comment that wasn't meant for me to hear that "none if my clothes were worth crap because of their size. (Im a size 14) Seriously?! Low blow. Its ridiculous. This place is an absolute must-visit to get the best deals on amazing clothes! I can't believe I ever paid full retail before, and I will never go back :) I've gotten American Eagle jeans in great condition for only $16, and leather Coach purses for under $50, which is a steal if you appreciate that kind of quality. And their clearance sales can be pretty good too. Overall, the selection is great, as well as the variety. Definitely check it out! read more

I always manage to find some cute stuff here, but most of the stuff that they sell is dirty, ripped, or old. Everytime I try to sell clothes, they're good condition, or brand new but they can never take them because they're "too full". But they always have room to buy things that look like they haven't been washed in a hot minute. I found some cute things here recently but honestly overall I've found better and cleaner clothes at goodwill lol. read more

I don't know how many times I have brought in bags of clothes (name brand). I brought in 5 bags of clothes and they took 1 shirt, then made an excuse that they didn't need any of the other things, even though when I was looking through clothes I heard the employees say they were in desperate need of denim. When that's majority what I brought in. Some still had the tags on them never worn. The employees were more busy gossiping and trash talking the clothes that were brought in. This Platos has a great selection of clothes. I always find the best deals. I've noticed all Platos have a different style of clothes depending on the area. This location had a great selection of Nike, Free People, and all brands of designer jeans. I love how they put their new items at the beginning of each isle so I always know where to look first. For selling make sure to ask what they are full on/needing as sometimes they can be very picky on what they take in. Other than that this Platos was clean, had friendly and helpful employees and had a huge selection! read more

Good for shopping - horrible for selling. I brought in 2 large boxes that fit their requirements that were listed online. However, it seems that the employees make up their own scale on how they purchase clothes. (It makes sense that they should invest in clothes that their customers will buy) but perhaps they should change their method of doing so. I would not recommend selling your clothes here. They do not always buy clothes that are in new condition, brand name, and recently purchased within the past year. read more

honestly by far the most awful place I've ever been in. They treated me horribly as I entered the store, telling me that its a all girls store and I should leave now. They proceeded to start backing me out the door while i was telling them that I was going to shop for a friend. They are one of the most sexist place I've ever been in and I am disgusted with their behavior. if I were you I would never shop at Plato's I don't think I've ever been so disrespected in my life and disgusted because I saw a rat . Not much for your trades. And I brought in brand new designer clothes and he wouldn't take them, yet I see faded t shirts in here continuously. They charge retail price basically for any female clothing. Sucks this is one of the only consignment stores in town. The owner seemed really offended when i asked for an itemized receipt and then acts like a child when you decide to keep the designer clothes he wanted to pay you $3 for. The girls that work here are nice though and helpful. For one of the only consignment stores, they have a great selection. Just wouldn't really recommend trading. read more

This store is very hit or miss, clothes-wise. I appreciate the selection of high-end jeans, but I can find them cheaper, and new, at Ross or TJ Maxx. I've been disappointed by how many cute tops and dresses I've pulled off the rack only to find a small snag or little rips around the closures. I realize the employees aren't professional buyers, but even the shoe selection shows obvious signs of wear and noticeable scuffs. I've found better quality at Goodwill. Also when selling, the employees will quote an approximate time it will take to value the clothes, and well after that period of time has gone by and I go to check, the clothes will be ready and waiting and they simply hadn't bothered to let me know. They're otherwise nice enough, but nice enough is the very minimum of customer service that I expect so it's not very impressive. Altogether it's an okay place to go if you've got time to kill, but is not worth going and seeing on its own. read more

Great selection. High quality used clothing. Good size and style variety. It's nice that they have men's style. They claim to always be buying, but last time I went in they weren't. NEVER WILL I RETURN HERE AGAIN. All due to their customer service. It is a horrible & a terrible feeling when the employees are very snobby & rude. Currently the tall medium sized blonde girl, who refused to complete the service promised by Plato's closet which is to accept clothing and look through them until closing. I go in two hours before closing and walk in there with many items to sell, but the blonde haired girl had the nerve to tell me she couldn't do her job by saying that they are not taking buys. I don't even care how much I get for them or if I even get anything as long as they at least do their job. I will never go back but will contact the current owner as that is completely unacceptable. I drove a fucking hour just to be told "we aren't taking buys anymore for the day". TWO FUCKING HOURS BEFORE CLOSING. read more

Every time I go into this place it's nothing but bad service and dirty looks. Those girls would have a better time if they smiled and actually helped people. I waited by the register for over 10 minuets waiting for one of the employees to look at me and answer my questions. And when they did ask me what I needed it was nothing but rude and disrespectful. I went back to pick up my clothes and they told me they would take 8 things for 20 dollars and the rest of the stuff was too old for the newest styles. I looked around the store and saw multiple things that were similar to what I was selling and they didn't want it. I looked online before getting my stuff together and taking it in and made sure it was everything they were looking for. I will definitely not be going back into that place their low prices aren't worth feeling worthless from the bitchy manager and the employees getting bossed rudely around by her as well. I have gone to Plato's closet a few times, and probably wont go there again! They are so disorganized! The sizes are all mixed and it's hard to find the size your looking for. The young sales people are rude and have no customer service skills! The prices are reasonable for most things but they had name brand jeans for $50-$75 dollars used! read more

Plato's Closet is a great place to get high end clothes for cheap! I love being able to buy multiple items without breaking the bank! The only downfall is when you try to sell back clothes they usually don't buy very much and pay very minimal. read more

I don't usually shop here because I feel that they over price a lot of the items.. they get, they give you maybe 2 dollars for an item and then sell it for 20 bucks.. now on another note, most of the employees are very kind and I do enjoy bringing my clothing in and getting cash for them, just wish they'd give you a little more for what it's worth, since they price them a lot higher then they give you cash for. read more

plato's closet is one of my favorite stores by far. you can find really cute clothes for really cheap and name brands for half the price! they are very picky with what they buy from sellers so you know that you're going to get good clothes and not stained or worn down clothing/material. the only problem is, is that sometimes you find a great haul and other times you don't ‍ it just depends on the day you go read more
