They have a good selection of furniture, housewares, books and accessories. Inventory changes frequently and make sure to sign up for their super thrift loyalty program, it makes it all worth it. I came into this place a lot to look around, and would usually leave with a few things too! I've probably spent at least $150 on vinyls here alone, and I don't think I'll ever be coming back again. It's really uninviting in here now versus when they first re-opened and I found out why. Immediately after walking in, I got a snide remark of "Day three? Maybe you'll buy something?" And when I left without buying anything, I got pestered and called a "Transit Kid." I tried explaining that I can't see very well, so it takes me a while to look at all the small items/read price tags, but I could barely get a word in. I live nearby, so I'd often stop in after I got coffee next door until i had to leave and go to work. Telling people not to window shop at your antique/trinket store is absurd, and I REALLY hope you weren't insinuating that you thought I was stealing.

They took the items without hassle, helped me remove them from my vehicle, and were great in helping me organize everything. Every time I pulled up in their curb side area, they were quick to come attend to me and I was on my way in no time. In terms of the donation experience, I give them a huge thumbs up. As a shopper, I'm actually impressed with all the things they have here and how tidy / organized everything in inventory is. One's mileage always varies for companies that have multiple locations, but I think this Goodwill has to be one of the better ones. I've found some interesting electronics here, as well as a pretty extensive amount of clothes in my size. There's also kid's toys, electronics, books, and even furniture here. Prices are standard for a Goodwill. . When a place is ripe with full of cheerful staff, along with an abundance of inventory, and the place is well maintained? This is a special thrift store, different from all others in Salem. After items don't sell in the…read moreregular 'shelved' goodwill stores in the area, it's by the pound, and those blue trays are rotated. Every 20 minutes or so a new row comes out and everyone waits patently till the last tray rolls into position and Go! Great fun digging for treasure at $1.69 per pound! Glassware is 50 cents, and if it's breakable, it glassware. Plus their furniture is awesome, and each day they lower the price. $20, $15, down to $3, $1 until it goes. I stalk items, checking back until they hit my 'gotta buy this' threshold. Such a nice pleasant professional staff too, This is a hobby for me, I spend 30 minutes doing surface mining and you just never know what you might need.

Absolutely unfair. They won't even ask for witnesses or anything instead they'll just look at their camera and take someone else's word over yours. It's a good thing that the court system doesn't react this way with people.. When you ask for the district manager's phone number, the people working at the Goodwill bins will give you a phone number that leads to a message machine and no one ever calls me back. This place has no security. Crack heads do as they wish and they harrass good shoppers. Management is horrible because they are never on the sales floor. The employees at the Goodwill harass the younger kids, a lot more than the adults when they are shopping. The managers fill up shopping carts, one hour before the store opens . They take the best items that they can find off the sales floor so they can sell it somewhere else. That's probably the only time you really see the managers unless they are being called to the front . If you're thinking about going to the store, hide all your valuables don't leave it in the carts. I am a disabled vet and I got kicked out of that store just for preventing somebody from causing me harm . When I did shop there, my back would start to hurt as well as my knees and they have chairs everywhere but when you try to sit in them, they look at you like you're a child and tell you to get up . It's actually funny because they let their cashiers sit in a chair if they want. Meanwhile, if you're leaning up against a Goodwill bin the cashier has the nerve to tell you not to lean on it while he is sitting on his butt.. do better Goodwill. The store manager has no communication skills doesn't ask you your side of the story and will just kick you out if you are trying to protect yourself from a violent crackhead . The store used to be a great store to hang out with friends and shop, but because the manager does not provide security or sales people on the floor to prevent fights or arguments this place can be very dangerous. I repeat very unsafe and dangerous environment! Do better goodwill. The name is Goodwill not badwill so please be goodwill and stop being badwill and kick out the shoppers that are actually starting the problem not the shoppers that are trying to shop peacefully. I've been shopping at this store for years along with other friends and family, and I have never had any problems in this store and once I try to defend myself, I get kicked out. Thanks for kicking out a honorable veteran who served this country in Iraq during a time of war.. So the store manager will not kick out the person who gets in your face and yells at you and causes the problems but when that person gets in your face and you defend yourself, you get kicked out. If you are a veteran and you have mental health issues, I don't recommend going to this establishment because they do not cater to people with disabilities . This includes people with walking disabilities or any disabilities.. they have all these broken used chairs but if you sit in one you're gonna get kicked out. Awesome job goodwill. Management in the store picks and chooses who they want to kick out. I reported that a customer was harassing me and other customers mostly young kids and I had witnesses and goodwill did absolutely nothing. I suffer from severe mental health issues because of my time in the military and now I can't even shop at the goodwill in salem. Shameful. Shame on the female store manager who kicks out disabled military veterans. I'm glad I protected this country so that you could kick us American heroes/veterans out of the store. Vinnys my bags behind the counter said they are not housed responsible stuff they don't allow them in the store. I can put them in walkway inside the door ... There were also several items that smelled absolutely foul. Literally like out of a dumpster. At some point I looked at my hands and they were visibly dirty and black. I asked for the clothes I brought in to be returned to me when I saw a "make America great again" shirt on one of the end racks. Seemed like it was even on display. Very disappointing.
