Now that I've completed my certification course at Platt College and have recently become a certified hemodialysis technician, I want to take the time to thank the people who were there for me every step of the way. My overall experience at Platt was very positive. The school itself and the campus are really nice for the study environment. My professor Mr. V was absolutely key to my success as a graduate. He was thorough, organized, fair and made it fun. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a professor. I also want to mention the support staff in the admissions office. The jobs placement coordinator Edmund O., was very accessable and actually called me to see how my job search was going. Additionally he helped me with my resume and took the time to set me up on the school computers. Also want to give praise to Susan B. and Linda M. who oversee admissions. They answered all my calls and questions about my education at Platt and oversaw my academic details making sure I had all the requirements necessary to graduate. Platt College is a great school to further your education at/in a quality institution. read more

Oh wow. I never knew that there are other students that has issues with this school. Before enrolling to this school, i asked the Director of Dialysis Dept multiple questions and one of them is that if i finish the whole program, is it possible to sit down again to the class to have a refresher course before taking the state exam test due to the fact that i have learning disabilities. The Director of Dialysis said YES!. So when she said that, i am sold! I even brought 4 of my friends to sign up but we have different schedules. On my first day, i was so excited, pumped-up to learn, and so focus because of my age level. I told myself "this is it", i will take this class seriously and work on this field. After 1 or 2 weeks of the class, the teacher is gone. Either she resigned or she got fired or whatever the reason is. So now we have a problem, the school replaced it with substitute teacher. After 1 or 2 week, the second teacher got replaced too. Now a male substitute teacher which is the dean of the school is actually our teacher now for the 3rd time. After 1 or 2 weeks again, that teacher got replaced by another teacher which is a female for the fourth time. This time, the female teacher is actually the Director of a Dialysis place. Therefore, she can better explained everything credential wise. During these whole course of theory about dialysis program, i and other classmates of mine have lost interest or loosing interest. Why is that? Each teacher have different ways of method for teaching and not considering the level of grasping information by individuals. There are some who are smart and can cope with the understanding faster but for some people or students like me who has difficulty understanding, we need a teacher that knows exactly how to teach the student in their level of thinking in order for us to absorb the information properly. Because medical field is not a joke especially when your dealing with them in dialysis section. Patients can die if you mess up. That is why its very important the we understand what we are learning. So after the class, we went to externship and it was tough. It is tough because other students from other school are well versed on the theory while we are trying our best to understand. So to make the long story short, i finished the externship but not confident enough to do it due to lack of theory knowledge. I asked the Director of Dialysis if i can sit down once in a while in the class again so i can refresh my memory. The Director of Dialysis said, NO! I asked why, and she said, because i finished the externship and that i should be competent enough to pass the state test. I told her that before i sign up i clearly asked the same questions before i enrolled and she said YES. Now its different story because i pass the externship. OMG! Knowing the differences after the program and all those substitutes teachers. I would have not sign up with this school. Now i owed money from the financial dept, i don't have my certificate because of the balance, and after 2 years of feeling down about this situation, she said, i can no longer take the test and that i have to take the whole course again with new enrollment fees. I told her, that she disappointed me BIG TIME! She said, i offered you a refresher course but u never attend. Now let me explain, after the externship and asking for the refresher course to sit down. I was said NO! After couple of months pass by, she try to reach out and provide me a refresher course during their available time in which doesn't go along with my work schedule. I told her, what i want is to sit down in a class like what i have mentioned to you in the beginning of enrollment. She said, she can't. I said, this is full of BS! Me and other students on that batch of mid 2013 to 2014 lost interest in this school institution. We thought, they are for student's goals rather they don't provide u with all the exact details in the beginning. So i'm stuck with the STUDENT LOAN without any way to take the state exam test since it lapse and i dont have the certificate. Now tell me how i'm going to pay for that fucked up loan? If only she would have let me sit down in one of those classes which is not too much to ask since they fucked up by changing all the teachers. Just because they want to finished the syllables otherwise they will have issues with the associations of education. What a director and what a school policy they have. They are not for the student's sake, they just want their money. After these experiences with private college at age 35 when it happens and now i'm 37. I don't think i would want to go to private college like this one ever again. I hope their president or owner knows about how they messed up students life. It's not cool. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This school is completely unprofessional in every way shape and form! All the people workig there seem like they would rather be some where else. And a lot of people quit without any warning and leave you to figure out everything on your own. I do not feel that I will be able to get a job after having gone to this school! I feel I should have learned a lot more and been held accountable for knowing all the information. I went here for the DMS program and I should have known it would be like that after just the admissions process. I lost count of how many times I called and emailed to try to get information about enrolling. Even my mom tried because I thought maybe they just weren't taking me seriously because I was young. Then when I was finally in, it turns out they had enrolled to many students so I had to wait another 2 months to start. The only reason I even decided to continue was because it was accredited (which its not anymore!). Through out my time there I delt with unprofessional clinical coordinators and program directors. It took them 2 months to find me a clinical site when I was told that they would provide everyone with sites! Due to that I shouldn't have graduated on time but I worked my butt off to make up all the missing hours and managed to finish by my original graduation date. Now it has been almost 2 weeks and I still have not received my transcripts, letter of completion, or diploma, all of which you need to take your state tests. We were supposed to be able to take our state tests as soon as we graduated and I am still not able to apply. read more

I've been an instructor at Platt College for 3 years now within their graphic design department. I can say honestly that my colleges and I care a lot about giving students the most out of this program despite the time constraints. We stress the importance of pushing your talents and mastering your craft, and worry about your success even before you graduate. It's not uncommon for us to be in a stir at night, worrying about a student that doesn't understand the dedication it takes to survive in our field. As instructors we continually express to our employers about what can and should be done better, then we gripe that these changes didn't come on our whims. Does that mean the school is inadequate? I can't answer that for everyone has an opinion. But wouldn't you like to attend a school knowing that your teachers are in a constant struggle to ensure that the technology and training are constantly evolving and up-to-date so that you are getting your moneys worth? Now, on a side note, before you decide to come to our college, or any for that matter, are you ready to be a student? Because if you still do drugs, get drunk and party all the time, come in with hangovers or high on something, or are just plain lazy: you aren't ready. And if you aren't ready then don't waste our time, especially mine. You need to focus, and practice, practice, practice. Because if you are lucky/unlucky enough to be in my classes on the Bachelor level, I'm putting your ass to work! read more

I attended this school YR 2013 and finished my two certification programs in YR 2014. It is really a great school if you want to start something but you have to do your due diligence in finding what program that is best suited for you. Pros: Tuition fee is fair and affordable. Premises is pretty neat and cool. Academic faculty is great in their own way. Administrative personnel are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Flexible schedule you can have to choose from (weekend or full time class) Complete materials you will need: books, uniforms, testing application fees, etc. Career Service guide (closely monitoring your employment status). Cons: Not all programs are available for financial aid. Some skill training is inconsistent (I hope it is better now). Some skill equipment is not fully set-up and operational during the time in my program year. But for overall rating review I will give it a 4 star. But do not expect the instructor will fill in everything but instead bridge the gap yourself if you found something is lacking and missing. read more

Before going further I acknowledge I cannot speak to the quality of teachers or classes. I wanted to attend Platt because I wanted to go into Diagnostic Medical Sonography and they are the only in my area with a CAAHEP certification. If you are similar to myself: RUN. Do not think of going here. I met with admissions first who were professional and friendly enough though they had trouble answering the most basic of questions about their program to me. (Ex: So in five hours of classroom time per day, how much of that is lecture on topics and how much time is spent in lab using sonography machines? A: I'm not sure. It might be 5;1 or something like that) I was making my decisions regarding school under a pretty tight timeline so I spent my afternoon there taking both pre-req tests. Which I passed with 90% no problem. But by the time I finished my counselor had taken off which was frustrating. I then scheduled my interview with the head of the department Dr. Cano. They asked me to bring my transcripts (I don't have high school transcripts and never did, but I do know I graduated with a 3.7 and don't have college transcripts either but I know that I double majored, double minored in 4 years and still graduated with a 3.4. So I emailed that I could bring a copy of my degree to the meeting but would not be able to bring transcripts until I could get them from my old schools) Now is where I seriously remind you to RUN from considering this school. They request that you come in interview attire and present yourself professionally, arrive 30 minutes early to write your 'statement'. I did all of this and Dr. Cano was not ready to see me. When she finally did she never bothered to even look my way as I appeared in the door, did not invite me in, did not invite me to sit, refused to even make eye contact, rudely demanded my name (I just introduced myself when I said hello and don't you have it?! ), then flung her hand out for me to take (I can't really say shake since she practically offered it as though I was supposed to kiss it rather than introduce myself) all the while still staring an her computer and not even turning to face me. Her first 'question' was the exact same as the statement I had just come in early to write (again, why am I writing this if it is not to be read?) but I politely tried to engage her in conversation anyway explaining my roundabout way I landed on wanting to pursue sonography. After 'listening' for a few moments she interrupts me to wave her hand dismissively and demand "No WHY do you want to be a sonographer?" I try to speak again. She interrupts again. Finally I end with - because I think I will like it and I want to pursue it. She sighs, rolls her eyes and goes back to alternately glaring at her computer and me. Then asks me for my paperwork, which I reply I wasn't able to get transcripts in time but I did bring my degree, and as to high school transcripts I took several advanced classes including college courses in high school and graduated with a 3.7. She gets rather angry and tells me that why would I show up without paperwork? And this tells her nothing about what kind of student I am. So again, I say well in college I was able to double major and double minor in four years while working full time and still graduated with a 3.4, and as to high school, I'm sorry but it's been a long time and I never had transcripts. The best I can do is talk to you about my experience and wait for them to arrive but I did go to community college as a senior instead of regular class and I did graduate with a 3.7. Instead of listening or bothering to engage in the conversation - she repeats her question. I sigh and blink at her. Then after glaring at me another moment (at least we finally had eye contact I guess?) She asks me why Platt. I tell her about my wanting to remain where I currently live, the long wait lists at other schools and that I am in fact considering another nearby program. Again she bristles and instead of talking about Platt's program she insults the other program. I calmly inform her that because of my student status - the programs are equal for me. (the other program does not have CAAHEP, but I have a degree so in order to take my board exams I do not require a CAAHEP school, but I would have preferred one) And she says, "That's very interesting. That says a lot about you that you don't care about the quality of your program." I was pissed. That's it lady. The other 'program' treated me professionally and courteously. They answered my questions. They didn't waste my time asking me to come early and then not be ready to see me. They listened to my answers to their interview questions instead of treating my like I was some sub -par human not worthy of even eye contact. This wasn't an interview - it was her trying to see if she could make me feel like mud and I wouldn't for a second trust my education to someone so unprofessional. I repeat: RUN!!! read more

I graduated from their DMS program in April 2016, come September, I have NEVER even received an invite once to my OWN graduation ceremony that I paid $40,000. What the heck kind of BS is that ?!?! Whoever heard of such a thing?!?! I only found out about graduation letters because a classmate asked if I would be attending the ceremony that is 10 Days away! Apparently, they received their letters in MAY, and I have received NONE. SUPER DISORGANIZED. I take major offense that i wasn't invited even though I paid and worked hard to graduate. I pray this school gets sued and shut down asap. Whoever runs this place is not paying attention to who they hire as their staff. I'd start firing people in Career Services first (Falon Thomas). She's failed at doing the simple task of checking students' resumes after SHE requested to get them sent to her. Next up, PLEASE fire Farzaneh Mermanejad in DMS. She has no idea what she's doing and as far as teaching, she basically plagiarizes from Edelman. Terrible, unqualified instructor. She should have gotten the boot a long time ago. read more

The DMS program is a hard program, fast paced, it is what it is. However, Dr Dezire, Anula, Maggi, and Romi are the best, most amazing women and teaching staff. I am currently a student at Platt College and I would NEVER RECOMMEND this school to ANYONE. It's unorganized, over priced, irresponsible, unprofessional, unreliable and MONEY HUNGRY . All this school cares about is your money. If I could have saved myself the time and money I would've. I was young and naïve when I enrolled in this school. I actually thought this school and the people who worked here cared about your education but the second i started everything changed. The only reason I'm still here is because they'll charge me the full tuition even if I don't finish the full program (that's what I was told when I asked). We were also promised hard covered books which we never received but are getting charged for. Instead we get some cheap ass tablets that don't work and when we tried talking to everyone including Corporate absolutely no one got back to us. I played a game of cat and mouse for two weeks trying yo get ahold of Fida or Fina. Whatever. Finally got back to me and made an appointment. This morning I went in at 12pm sharp. That was our appointment time. The receptionist looked at me funny when I signed in and stated that she already had a 12pm .. Wonderful. One of the other program directors (annoyed) volunteered to meet with me. Once I got in to speak with her she was very quick to point the fact that my tattoos would make things very hard for me to have a career in the medical field. Also, that there was 70 people on a waiting list that were more qualified than me and that a chance of me getting into the sonography program was "never going to happen, just being realistic." Mind you she didnt know anything about me up until that point. She also asked me what she would find on my criminal record if they ran a background. Wow. Then she tried persuading me to get into the graphic arts program. She thought that because I was in construction and had "tattoo art" that this would be a great idea. Obviously ......Sorry but no thanks. Not a great first impression. read more

My daughter is currently enrolled in the Veterinary technician program and is in the end of the program which is supposed to be a hands on experience only to be cleaning kennels without much if any hands on experience. I ask her why not and has she spoke to director of the program she stated "yes" but she "the director" is only worried about AVMA accredited. My concern is how many students are not getting the hands on experience they have paid good money to learn. Very unhappy with the education my daughter is receiving. This school has helped me be where I'm at now. In 2014 I completed my Associates in Medical administration and this year I've come back to complete my bachelors in health management. Mrs.C and Ms. K were awesome and taught me a lot and even my gen ed teachers did a great job. This year I have Mary and Mrs. Charnese who are very patient with their students and understanding, who take the time to repeat themselves if they have to in order to make sure their students understand the lecture. The computers in the library are always accessible even though every student is now given a chrome book. The only reason I didn't give it the full five stars is because I take night classes and the parking lot is so dark at night not to mention the coyote that tends to roam around the Parking lot at night. Also I wanted to mention my admin rep Anthony he is so helpful with any question I have even if it's not his department he knows who to direct me to. He is very attentive and was very patient in the sign up process and needing to work around my schedule. read more

Update: I recently graduated from another school as a respiratory therapist. I took my TMC and CSE board exams and passed both of them on the first try. While I was at the testing center in Long Beach, another student from Platt College was there taking her CSE. She stated her graduating class had 17 students and that the majority of her classmates have failed the board exams. She stated only 3 of the 17 students passed. Needless to say, she did not pass her CSE on that day either I had an appointment to meet with Fina at 12:00 PM on 6-4-2015 to talk about the Respiratory Therapy Program. I arrived in plenty of time for my appointment, which gave me time to get lost trying to find the right building (I signed in at 11:40 AM). The receptionist was courteous, even offered me some coffee or tea. Approximately 20 minutes after I arrived, a young gentleman walked in to meet with a Rep. I could hear the receptionist inform him that Fina already had an appointment scheduled at his appointment time. A not-so-friendly lady emerged from the office right behind the waiting room and came out to where we were all at (I was seated, waiting for Fina) and asked me if I had an appointment with Fina. I informed her that I did. She then stated to the receptionist that she 'will she him (pointing to the gentleman who walked in after my arrival) and Fina will see her' (pointing at me). I was glad that she announced I would meet with Fina, otherwise I would have requested to wait to see Fina as this lady just seemed to be annoyed she HAD to meet with someone. This is the same lady who criticized the receptionist for doing something just moments before the gentleman arrived (it was NOT constructive criticism in any way, shape or form) and I heard the whole conversation. I'm sorry, that is uncalled for. If someone is going to get ridiculed, take them out of earshot of prospective students to do it OR try constructive criticism. That was EXTREMELY unprofessional. The gentleman who I mentioned above actually wrote a review (see Derek S) and you can tell he did not enjoy his experience with the lady he ended up meeting with. Based on his review, she was discouraging him to sign up for the program he wanted due to his tattoos. I'm sorry, but I have been working in the medical field for 20 years and almost EVERYBODY has tattoos these days (visible and covered up). Ok, back to Fina, she was MORE than helpful in answering my questions. Believe me, I had lots of questions. I took the 1st of 2 required tests today and passed no problem. I am scheduled to go back on Monday to take the next test and meet with Albert in Financial Aid (thank God because the Financial Adviser I met with today didn't seem to be able to provide me with what I was looking for) and all the other reviews on here mention how wonderful Albert is. The only question I forgot to ask the Financial Aid Advisor is whether or not the loans cover the entire cost of the program. I guess I can get my answer from Albert on Monday. I did not think to ask this question until I met with another school after my appointment here. This other school informed that their would be a gap in the loans as the loans would not cover the entire tuition; resulting in me having to make payments to the school WHILE STILL ENROLLED. I am fortunate enough to not have to work while I will be going to school, which will allow me to devote most of my effort into school (I'm also a single mother so I have to devote myself to my teenage daughter as well). I am in no means rich, therefore any added monthly expense needs to be brought to a prospective student's attention ASAP. I wish I could break this review down by each encounter. I went to this school to find out about Hemodialysis tech program. I was there hours trying to see a counselor. I met Susan Barredo so-called administrative director. This lady was rude and just kept telling me someone will see me soon. I ended up meeting with her, and all she said was "I will follow up with you via email to see if I can refer you to the work source training person so you can get help paying for your training". It's been weeks and I haven't heard from her. It was clear to me that because I wasn't paying out of pocket or through a loan they weren't interested in talking to me !! This school gave me the impression that they just want to make a profit from their students! I am currently looking somewhere else. read more

I am a Disabled Veteran and an Alumni of Platt College Los Angeles from 2007. This past July, I had to discuss a transaction reimbursement check from the Veterans Admin to Platt so I paid a visit to Platt Los Angeles and was shown how dysfunctional and disrespectful their staff were. Their financial rep La Paz Zaragoza would not respond to my phone calls or emails. During the visit to her office, she accused me of harassment becasue she was so overwhelmed with her job. Instead of contacting her supervisor or someone to assit me, she threw me out of her office. She was unprofessional, lazy and could not handle pressure. I complained to their Dean named Luka and School President and nothing was done. They were so oblivious to the situation and seemed as if they didn't care. In fact they assumed I aggravated the rep. When it comes to having you sign your name on contract, they will butter you up and reem you for all of your money but when it comes to them owing you money, they treat you like shit. This college is still low leveled with an unprofessional and dysfunctional staff. Sorry to say that I attended here. I complained of the same issues back then but nothing was done. I dropped out of B.A program and attended another school. If you are a veteran using your G.I Bill or Chapter 31 or any other benfits, do not attend Platt. Please research other credited colleges with a professional staff who will treat you with respect and award you with gainful employment after graduation. If you research Platt, they have no recent successful graduates. Their propaganda show minimal graduates from 2010 and beyond. If there was a negative rating here, Platt gets -10! read more

Platt College has been great to me. I feel truly blessed. I went to this school full time and worked full time. The teachers where great. Although my schedule constantly changed all of my teachers worked around my schedule as long as I made it to class.I'm not gonna lie it was tough, going to school from 7am-12pm and having to be at work by 145pm only to leave work at midnight. To this day, I still remain in good contact with some of my teachers and through my journey they have all supported me including the dean. If it wasn't for Lisa Saukissian my life would've have been in shambles. It's been a year and a half without experience in this field however, Meliana Joseph reached back for me. In June 2013, I received a call from her asking me have I found work in this field. I told her no, and begin to explain my struggles to her. I sent her a copy of my cover letter and resume and she instantly began submitting me for jobs. Over the past month she and I have exchanged emails, adding to my resume and rewriting my resume. Today July 16,2013 I have been offered a job that will change my life. I will begin my new job as a Medical Assistant Aug 5th with working M-F weekends and holidays off. I couldn't ask for more. I went to this school to do the Vet Tech program and I can say, I did learn a lot, I did get some experience to help me get another job at a clinic (I finished my schooling at another program) and the teachers who actually do the animal studies part there are wonderful (hence the two stars) but my overall experience was terrible. I came in December and I had to start on my General Ed classes. These classes were bullshit. The biology teacher there did not teach anything well and the test and quizzes were made so carelessly. The way he made the test looked like it was a test for a first grader. Ridiculous. A student complained to him about the way he taught because he really wasn't teaching us anything, he basically repeated things about the cells and animals every class. The speech class was ridiculous. I bullshitted a presentation and I passed the class. I was doing very well in my classes, but I reached one certain class and the teacher (she was decent but the way she taught this particular class wasn't great) taught the class with different standards that were extremely different from the standards in another class based on the same thing. I aced all my theory classes but failed this particular class. I was then called into talk to the dean and one of the teachers. The dean didn't let me do an assignment, like an essay, to raise up the one percent I needed to pass. He said to me that because I failed this class (hospital management) I would be bad for a hospital since I don't know how to administer a certain drug to a cat and thus leading me in killing the cat from this lethal injection. Mind you, hospital management was about how to run a hospital, do payroll, how to keep hospital clean, etc. and not how to administer a drug. I was already doing clinical sites by that time (almost 3 months in doing clinical site) and had already done a few injections and also did a blood draw. I thought that was a ridiculous excuse to kick me out of the program when that had nothing to do with the class I was taking. I had to go to financial aid and I had to pay for my 6 months in the program. It came out to $13,000+ dollars for six months. So I am now in debt with them and having to pay off two loans from two different loan companies. I was not told about the second loan company until they emailed me a couple months ago. They got me with that. Financial aid is a joke. They don't explain things to you clearly. I see from multiple reviews that financial aid is also a problem at this school. This is a for profit school and I wish I could have read these reviews before I applied. read more

This is a joke of a school. The ultrasound school is basically scamming students out of their money. The actual didactic portion of the classes was not bad when I was there as there was one wonderful teacher that was tough and taught us alot. I was duped into going to this school when they were CAAHEP accredited and figured they had their proverbial sh*t together but I was wrong. The clinicals are a joke and are really the worst part of the whole experience. Forged documents to meet CAAHEP requirements, no real on the job training, etc. Our whole class were told when we got to our clinical portion that if we complained we would be dropped from the school and would be SOL. All the other teachers were horrible ill equipped to be teaching ultrasound. If you are considering this school to start your ultrasound career look elsewhere. No employer is going to take you seriously. I have wasted literally years of my life and a lot of money going here. You will graduate with a useless degree, in debt and no employer will care. If you are serious about going into this field find a CAAHEP school that has been accredited for a long time such as loma linda, etc. read more

I am a current student here in DMS finishing up my clinical hours. During the program they changed the program director. It was already the time for the students in the cohort before our cohort to go to the clinicals, but many of them didnt have clinical sites. But now, they have done many changes to the program. They have changed the program director and hired many other helpful staff that they care about students. Dr. Dezire Khosravi, the new program director, is very knowledgeable and helpful. She did many changes so that the program would have a better flow. A few months before our clinicals, she started to look for even more hospitals and clinics ( platt has contract with alot of hospitals and clinics) and to have contract with them to make sure all of us have clinical sites. She really cares about the students and her office door is always open for us. Also Roza Hamzeinejad and Erica are very knowledgeable and helpful, they care about students and help them to succeed. I really recommend Platt College if you are serious and being a perfect ultrasound tech is a goal for you, then this is the best place. read more

This place is a joke. I was in their Graphic Design program. You're in class from 7:45am to 12:45pm and you learn nothing. You have about 20 minutes of lecture and all they teach you are the basics. The rest of the time you're working on projects for a "portfolio," which industry professionals call a joke. I could've taught myself everything I learned from them. Most of the jobs their career center offers are off of Craigslist. It's a joke. All they do is put you in a ton of debt and once they see a bad review on Google or Yelp, they ask their students to go on there and write a positive review to try and hide the fact that they're one of the worst places to go to. My recommendation? Go somewhere else. Stick with a 4 year college. At least you'll learn something there and the degree which you get from a UC or CSU school is a legitimate one that people will respect. You'll actually have the skills needed to succeed if you for to a 4 year college. read more

My experience with Platt was and still is very horrible. I did the 1st cna program and experienced nothing but problems. No body knows anything and when you want an answer you won't get it unless you keep calling and take actions into your own hands. We didn't have any supplies to practice skills, the clinical location was horrible, and they say the state test is in the tuition yet they end up making you pay out of pocket then they say they will reimburse you a month later. That is if you keep calling to get your reimbursement. So many problems with this program. To top it off I thought I was done with this school since I took my state test and passed yet my application never made it to the DHS after a platt employee mailed it. No body at platt had the common sense to make a photo copy of my original application since the coordinator for the cna program that signed the original copy is no longer at platt. A fellow classmate is going through the same thing as me. Because of a mistake by platt not following protocol we may not get our licenses even though the DHS has proof we passed. I highly recommend going somewhere else for a cna program. I can't speak for any other department but don't waste your time coming here for cna. Especially with the chances of not receiving you license after you have already passed the state test and have done everything you were suppose to. read more

Hi im a Platt college student i am still continuing til i finish my B.A... this is a good school and if you like to meet people in different traits of work field i do recommend the school for enjoying your learning of major you like to do etc. Platt college also good for their major im a graphic student and i also meet other different majors that students in and learn little something on the side when they discuss their major to me. Platt also provides you with all your main stuff such as books, usb drives ect. I sometimes stay 14 hours to catch up on work i do on the side as well an your more then welcome to stay til night class ends and go over the class again an hear lectures you miss or have help from teachers here. The teachers are nice and always on top of their work of teaching you. Their here for you to help you along your goal for work wise an they help with advise such as how to expand your corp. or work or art you do on side such as modeling etc. The school is also open Fridays and Saturdays for the students to come in and do their work and catch up on projects which i do on my Saturdays or Fridays as well learning new programs here. If you get hungry their food across the street like subway, jamba juice, Starbucks etc. The school also provides escort to your car if you feel uncomfortable to walk at night by the security they have on the campus. I just want to THANK everyone who reviewed on this. Thanks to them, and their experience I will definitely now attend. I hope the President of Platt reads this. The most important part of a school, place, job etc... are the people because through them is where new people with hopes and dreams seek help, seek that guidance other wise how else would we know where to start, where to go, what to do. Administration and especially financial aid must really be that bad because almost all of there reviews are based on that and its sad and unfair for all those teachers who really are doing their job who are willing to make a difference that people are getting discouraged on this school. Shame on you people and everything that goes around comes around. So, many people depend on that financial aid money, it feels horrible to be tight on money as it is. And, for you to be taking up your time to do something with your life and not receive that financial aid money that many people depend on man that's horrible, Rent, bills, etc etc... cant wait and for them to be so irresponsible and not ,make that a priority shame on you. Who knows maybe you'll be in that situation one day... And for those counselors and people who make commission out of offereing and selling something that is not true, just to make that money off of someone elses hopes and dreams shame on you. Nothing to be proud of, and if you have children hopefully they find out so they can feel ashamed of you just as I would if I knew my parents or anyone who surrounds me was doing that. i was in the hemodialysis program. the teachers are great, the director is nice . especially Edmund in the career office, he helped me out with my resume, and he taught me interview skills, he has been very encouraging. it's not easy to find a job, and you need to be sure dialysis tech is what you love to do for 13 hours per day. read more
