My husband and I used to say, "I know if she can just get in, she will find her place there". This is her first year, and I can't say enough good things about this school. Besides having top notch education in mechanical engineering (her major) and research, the campus does an amazing job of keeping families involved, and also making the students feel at home. My daughter was so excited to go back to campus after winter break. She loves living on campus, and knows her professors. She has already hinted she may want to stay over for research opportunities during summer. And what is a plus is that she is just as excited to tell me about their social events. Lastly, I also love that they invited the families on campus the first week of school. We get caught up with monthly emails and video meetings. What an amazing institute all around.

This was my first time testing at a Pearson Vue. Had been doing all my tests previously at…read morePrometrics but boy did the most recent review and Google reviews mislead me to consider this site as an exam center! Soo disappointed!! - Parking - free - but despite what your email says that there are 20 and 15 reserved slots for testers, there was none above - none of the reserved spots for testers are actually marked and you have to go underground. That's fine. Because I understand that this is a shared lot with USCIS so there's lots of people trying to park and take up spots they're not supposed to. - CENTER itself - clean - appears desolate, not that well used. But computer, wireless mouse, restroom, all were clean. BAD PART - test center and check-in are next door to each other. (Read the test for why this this important). - First of all the lady Jackie(?) checking me in was very courteous and so nice. She was and walked me from the side of check in to the side of lockers, restroom and then my seat. -I was one of the 2 people listed to take an exam I think, so I asked her when I was trying to sign in to verify if this place pretty quiet. She said yes then I started my exam. Within 30 minutes all I could hear were loud voices from a group of people on the other side of my wall where I was testing. I kept raising my hand there was no one to be found to come to my assistance. I tapped on the wall and nothing. Then I went outside and there was no one to be found in the testing lobby. I then went back to complete the first two hours of my exam having to listen to them talk and distracting me and disturbing my thoughts was such a painful experience! It was very unprofessional of the men who were on the other side in the staff center. I could not find the lady who checked me in anymore. But I want to make sure that this happens to no one else. The exam center earplugs were not really good even though they're new and didn't fit me well. I used their headphones to try to stop them loud chatter but they were not actually noise canceling so that did not work. Finally after two hours of my first part of the exam I had my first official 15 minute break and I went into the other side of the center where I found a group of 4 men just chatting away. I confronted them letting them know that I could hear them talking and I wanted to have my seat changed so that I could not hear them. The gentleman was responsive and only after I showed him where I was sitting which is literally right next to where they're talking on the other side of the wall did he say OK I will change your seat. Now at my new desk in the back of the test center, had 10 minutes left of my break and the guy said, ok I come back. Yet he never did! Little did I know that my exam time would start counting down and needed his password to start my test!!! So there I go again, running down the hall to the other side where the guy is again, now with a different set of people, old people, like joss parents, and I tell him, pleaseeee come and put your required password!! It was so unprofessional of him off this is his one and only job to help and it's literally doing the opposite. I was thankful for this new seat because I could no longer hear people talking but goes without saying that I could hear ambulance and street sounds. But saga doesn't end there! In the last hour of the exam there were annoying loud drilling sounds coming from the back center outside or roof. Who knows! But again, does baby Jesus hate me soo much ?!! Was all that I could think of by hour 4. Needless to say, this was the worst experience I've ever had with a test center. I could not concentrate at all during the test and it was absolutely unprofessional of the people working there and hosting the place to be doing this to the test takers. This needs to change. Were they nice? Sure. But have to regards to being quiet. Free parking at this Pearson Vue is not enough for a bad test experience. I would not return again to this place. I would maybe recommend this for an hour Exam if you can bear this. But anything longer. Nope.

Came here to take my A+ exams. The man in front was extremely nice and helpful albeit a little…read morebusy. Had everything ready the moment I walked in for my appointment and it went as smooth as I could've hoped. Parking is under ground and the stairs are a little complicated to find but besides that everything was good. The testing facility was very clean and well kept, I was given a dry erase marker and laminated sheet to write on as well as a pack of new earplugs for any noise (didn't need them at all). They offered masks and had hand sanitizer at each station as well.

Visited here for a school counselors event, and I was amazed at the location of this school. I did…read morenot even know that a private university existed in Rosemead until the day of the event. The school and staff were very attentive and friendly and made us all feel at home. The school is very personalized and made us not feel like a number, but as individuals. Very diverse and I am recommending my students to attend here because of the affordability and comfort, and good programs they offer.

The worst part was that I had been invited down to drop off my sealed transcripts which were in my back pack. I rode my bicycle to rehabilitate my injuries sustained while living in China teaching English. So. Short story made long, the Doctorate I considered there, as well as the Endowed Chair I considered funding through my LAO WANTONG FOUNDATION 501c3 Charity ain't never going to happen. The counseling department gives me mixed feelings because some counselors barely helped, and others…read morewere definitely more knowledgeable. While it's great that they let you setup online appointments, I had difficulties over Zoom. And they should let you see which departments the counselors are for, so they can guide you better. One of them went over the petitioning for a degree/transfer process. I didn't know I was that close to finishing another one, but I guess most of my credits from a different community college are accepted here. However, the process is tedious and should be automated. The last counselor I spoke to seemed lazy and told me I should just do all the research myself, so it was a complete waste of time...like what was the point of the appointment, if she didn't want to help look into a program I was interested in? The financial aid office was super unhelpful with one experience I had, and I spent 20-ish minutes going back and forth with a male employee who did not tell me anything I did not already know. He was talking in circles, and I actually found the answers I wanted online myself. Teacher-wise, I feel like you need to read ratemyprofessor. But also, you won't know until you read their syllabus. If you plan to take LOG 110, avoid VT. She never contributed once to any discussion, never gave insightful advice. Everything was copy and pasted, for the homework and responses to grading. She doesn't check Turnitin percentages, so you might get dinged for using the textbook. It took her a month to grade assignments, and actually, the class started 2 days late. She claimed she was locked out of Canvas for 10 days, but we never received an extension for that or when the system was hacked and offline. Also, over 2 months later, and she had still not graded my final scores. Honestly, I feel the dean should look into this low-effort teacher because I can't refer to that person as a professor. Plus, I didn't like how another teacher (MY) is forcing students to record videos, as if it were a speech class. A lot of them seem uptight and only really there for a paycheck. She also didn't respond to e-mails initially, and was rude about a submission question I asked. Canvas sucks. If you plan to take online classes, beware of the ones that use Honorlock and require you to pay for software, that connect to Canvas. I believe the library has most textbooks, but reserve them in advance because you can only check them out for so long. So far, I haven't like most classes because of how poor the content is. All of the PowerPoints I have read were bare bones, bare minimum, and didn't offer anything the textbook didn't. A lot of teachers also just add videos, which is fine, but it's a cop-out. But, I feel like they should include their own lecture material and share what they learned over the years. The one class that I am somewhat okay with is English C1001, but a lot of classes tend to have things due on Mondays, Wednesdays, and a weekend day. The quizzes don't count as points for each question, like most other classes. But, for every essay, of which we have four, Curington requires an outline, prewrites, research/lab assignments, and a first draft. The peer outlines are okay, if the other classmate cares enough to try. He leaves feedback for most assignments, which I appreciate. I have yet to visit the campus, but I look forward to visiting the observatory on a Friday evening. (Parking is free in LOT C.) I thought I would like RHC, but I might switch schools, if I don't end up liking the logistics management program.

I had an awesome teacher he…read morereally cares about his students and was willing to help any way he could to set you up for success. Hes very fair patient and understanding. If anyone is thinking about taking Hospitality Management you'll be glad you did at PCC from Dr. Mark Keene. There's ALOT of homework and ALOT of detail but trust me its all good. Financial aid office was extremely helpful with anything I needed they were there to take of my financial needs and made sure all was taken care of on time. The student services office that help students out with grocery cards or gas cards were all very cool and always helpful. So if PCC is on your mind I say give it a go!

I attended PCC around 2019-2023. Overall, in terms of the schools program and staff it is a decent…read moreschool. As a music major, they have excellent programs regarding the arts and have a separate building specifically for the arts. Although, sometimes music classes may be held at other buildings. I did finish with 70 credits with a 3.0 GPA although, when it comes to counseling and class advisory, they're not much help unfortunately. Basically for the most part, you do have to figure it out on your own. I generally did have a good experience and education at PCC. Especially with understanding with how music works when it comes to theory. Some of the learning is hands on and off. When it comes to college social life, if I'm being honest, it was great to make the connections I did...although, I should've mainly focused on trying to further my education rather than distracting myself. Other than that, it's generally a good community college if you're coming out of high school and a beautiful campus in my opinion.
