Very disappointing experience. We came for a birthday party, and after previously hosting a party here myself, I had been happy to recommend Play City. Not anymore. The staff was poorly trained and extremely unprofessional. We were checked in without being told about the purple wristband requirement, only to be sent back to the front after we were already playing. Then we were told about a $15 parent fee. After getting the wristband, an employee continued following us around and telling my daughter where she could and couldn't play, while I saw adults and older kids in the same areas without the wristbands we were being told were required. The laughing and discussing the situation with coworkers made the experience even worse. On top of that, the restrooms were extremely dirty. I'm posting photos because the inconsistent rules and cleanliness issues speak for themselves. Management needs to seriously improve staff training, customer service, and cleanliness. I will not be returning or recommending Play City.

This is the thing that made my girls cry on one of their birthdays!! Totally jacked on steroids!!

I visited Play City in Rancho Cucamonga with my four kids, and I honestly thought the place itself was very clean, cute, and well-kept. The employees were all very nice and helpful, and the person in charge was amazing and handled everything professionally. I really appreciated how kind and understanding the management was. Unfortunately, there was an incident involving another child repeatedly pushing my daughter down the slide and rushing her while she was trying to go down. We've dealt with bullying before, so I teach my kids that they should never allow someone to push them around or put their hands on them. My daughter felt like the child wasn't listening, and eventually my daughter hit her. That's when the other child's father came over to me very aggressively to address my daughter hitting his child, without acknowledging that his child had repeatedly been pushing and rushing my daughter down the slide. I calmly told him that he did not need to speak to me that way, and instead of de-escalating the situation, he became even more upset and said he was getting a manager. I spoke with the manager and explained what had happened, including the part he apparently didn't witness. She was very kind and understanding. I then went back to sitting in the ball pit with my kids, and I noticed this man turn completely around to look directly at me in what felt like an attempt to taunt me. I waved back and started recording because I wanted to document what was happening. He then started shouting and began recording me, even though I had already told him to stop speaking to me and leave me alone. At that point, I was the one who went to get a manager because I did not want this situation escalating in front of my children. Unfortunately, the man then proceeded to follow me and my four kids around, telling us he was going to call the police because my child had "assaulted" his child. My kids were crying and scared, and I was simply trying to get away from the situation. What really bothers me is that if you're going to confront another parent about something your child was involved in, you should at least acknowledge the entire situation, not just the part that makes your child look like the victim. I will say this: Play City absolutely made things right. They refunded all of my money , which I really appreciated. I would definitely go back because I genuinely liked the facility and the staff but i will not all just because of that overgrown boy mad that he probably needed another dose of steroids!! We can tell and with that demeanor how he speaks to women and makes children cry no regard for other children but is ok with his kid being ugly and taking zero accountability for their actions!! Unfortunately, it seemed like this particular dad was a regular there, so I think I'll pass on the "steroid lover" and men who apparently have issues with women standing up for themselves . I'm good on that. Also not once was he watching his kid not once had his back towards the play area the whole time so Overall, great facility, great employees, great management -- just one very unpleasant parent who completely ruined what should have been a fun day with my kids and it's also her birthday so thank you for making all my girls cry on one of their birthdays what a guy!!! I'm giving 3 stars because of boys like this that are allowed in not to mention he was standing outside the bathroom being weird!

I've attended two birthday parties here weeks apart. Pretty popular place. Helps that they recently opened and handing out specials. People were coming in and out of these places over the summer while I was here for birthdays. It's a great place for kids of all ages but more geared towards younger kids. Some of the areas, my early teenagers would bump their heads on some of the jungle gym areas but they had a good time with the other activities. Worst case you could send your older kids next door to the ninja place, their "sister" playground. This place looks and feels so vibrant and welcoming. I love the feel and I'm sure the kids do too. Id also like to mention that there are no locks to the gates so watch your kids from running out. We came during a busy time and the line wasn't moving fast enough to let us in even with two attendants but I'm sure they've improved by now, at least I hope. You need grip socks here, but you're welcome to bring your own. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Separate ones for males and females, as well as all gender private restrooms available for handicap as well. Pretty neat place. A lot of my friends got memberships. Tells you something about this place, worth coming.

We had such a wonderful experience at Play City in Rancho! The facility is clean, fun, and very well organized, with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained and active. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made our visit even better. It's a great place for families, playdates, birthdays, or simply letting the kids have a fun day out. The kids had an amazing time and didn't want to leave! We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Play City to other families looking for a fun and kid friendly place in Rancho!b

This is so fun for kids so clean and loved it My kids had a blast Can't wait to bring the kids again

This is a really cool place! My kid had a great time and we'll definitely be coming back. The pricing is actually pretty reasonable, and the membership is priced well too -- I might take advantage of that in the future. Just a couple small things to point out: the floors are pretty slippery, so make sure you wear grip socks. Even with mine on, I almost slipped twice. Also, none of the guns for the ball blasters were working, which was a little disappointing. And the screen for the digital ball-throwing game faces the glass window, so the sun glare makes it really hard to see. Overall though, it's a fun spot and we enjoyed it!

FINALLY REOPENED!! They been through a lot since their opening and it was worth it! We went to their Vista location a few weeks ago and it was amazing (see my review for Vista) and the Rancho location was even better. The lines to get in last weekend was literally out the door. It felt like I was waiting to get into a club LOL Rancho is about 27,000 sq ft of kid focused activities. A lot of their set up was similar to Vista but there are things that I liked better at the Rancho one. First let's talk about pricing as that is super important. It's $30 for the full day and ins and out privileges are allowed. We went during their reopening weekend and admission and parties were 50% off. So I def had to book my little one's party. Their snack bar is so reasonable priced. I have been to other indoor playgrounds and snacks are so expensive where a can of soda was $5. Secondly, the play structures, interactive actives and jumpers are huge. The jumper was so big that it had a basketball court, climbing apparatus and mini obstacle course inside (much bigger than Vista). The multi level play structure had a basketball/soccer court inside, touch screen projection video game and many slides ( I count at least 4). The toddler area had a ball out and slide and had this spaceship where it would drop balls into the ball out. This is where all the kiddos were cause it was so fun. In the toddler area, there was a mini jumper so the toddlers could also enjoy a jumper and be safe from the bigger kiddos. Oh! There was a trampoline in the toddler area too! Overall I'm still really impressed with Play City and can't wait to go back. As the summer is coming and staying away from outside playground while not impacting play time...Play City is the answer. Ninja Factory is an indoor playground for older kiddos should be opening in 3-4 weeks. Same owners so you know it's going to be great!

The party did not included unlimited play for the whole crew. There was a time limit capped at 2 hours.

A gift for the birthday party was advertised. But no gift was received during the party.

Poop stain on the carpet, ewwwww

Staff does not monitor anything here. One kid had a diaper blowout that got onto the carpet (and who knows where else). There was no sign to block off the area and no staff around to clean it at all--very unsanitary! Also, there are booger smears and brown stains (like dried blood from a nosebleed) inside the big playhouse. You can literally smell it as soon as you walk in . The 1 star is for the playground setup, but they seriously need to step up their sanitation and cleanliness

    Rosa R.

I love this indoor playground . I really enjoyed it with my children run around. My children had so much fun from the many options to choose from . I would definitely come back again. Endless hours of running and playing . Great , if you want your children burning energy . Tons of Ac around , feels cool and smells ok (: will come back again .

First time here and will be returning again. The kids loved it. They were never bored. They kept running back and forth to different play areas. Very clean inside. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of seating.

We had a short time frame, a tight budgets (his death was a surprise, which makes for a surprise budget as well), and a whole lot of unknowns -- like how many guests there would be. That's rough event planning. Sheryl and our coordinator Lyndsay were incredibly flexible, kind, and understanding. I will always be grateful to them for this. We paid for the additional assistance of two staffers -- Helping Hands, for $20 per hour. Well-worth it, and they were lovely. Highly recommend. Lyndsay was an absolute SAINT putting up with all our question marks on this day. She was calm, professional, and had everything under control. Since I was crying half the time, I was very thankful for her presence. Our guests were blown away with how beautiful the venue was. Most guests were local and they were as surprised as we were! So here's what you need to know about this venue: --it is gorgeous, shady, clean and just lovely. Perfect for a smallish event of about 100-200, IMO. --it is disabled accessible, although it is a historical property. --you cannot hear the freeway at all once you are inside the venue --pricing is VERY reasonable and you won't have a catering minimum. --it has Padua Hills vibes, but the catering minimum there is $10K and you have to use their caterer -- no thank you. --big money saver: they have tables, chairs, umbrellas, and they set up of all that. You only need to rent linens. --There is a kitchen, but it is not really for cooking. More for staging and refilling. It has a commercial fridge and a freezer, so we kept ice and extra cheese and desserts to refill. The caterers used it, but we didn't cook there. --it has both indoor and outdoor spaces, which makes it great for rain plans. --there is no alcohol, no smoking of any kind, and music needs to be the Disney version. It is owned by a Christian church, so values need to align there. They mean these things. Respect this. For us, this was no problem, since we needed a sober venue for the respect of some of our guests. We simply printed a disclaimer on our invitations. --you probably need extra signage at the entrance because it is easy to miss. You need to allow time for people to get in if you have a lot of guests. --Cheryl was organized -- we had a pre-meeting where she gave us a tour and a folder of all the details (table sizes, rules, helpful vendor contacts, etc) In our case, we welcomed guests on the north side of the building, had an espresso bar on the west patio, then directed guests to the back yard where the gazebo is. We held the "ceremony" part of the event by the gazebo, but we didn't really decorate at all (we didn't want it to feel like a wedding). Then we invited guests into the house and to the north side of the property, where one would normally have a reception for snacks and socializing. There are lots of little rooms and places where groups of guests can socialize within the house. For us, that worked because groups of my son's friends could reminisce together in their own social groups. We had no real need for flowers, because the facility was beautiful by itself. I hope this venue helps!
