There was already a crowd outside waiting for the next seating, and once inside, the intimate setup immediately stood out. With only about a dozen tables, a tiny bar, and the rest of the room dedicated to the stage, it feels exclusive without being pretentious. We sat at the VIP table tucked off to the side. At first, I wondered if the view would be limited, but it ended up being one of the coolest seats in the house. Watching the performers through the side curtains gave everything a romantic, vintage feel, while looking out across the room made it feel like you were hosting the evening. A special shout-out to our server, Arlene. She was hilarious, quick-witted, attentive, and timed everything perfectly. She even brought dessert out at just the right moment so we could enjoy it while finishing the show without feeling rushed. The only disappointment was that the grill was down that evening, so most of the beef entrées weren't available. Thankfully, I had planned on ordering the salmon anyway, and it was cooked perfectly. Just know that if you're coming specifically for a steak, you may want to confirm availability first. The passion fruit cheesecake was much sweeter than I expected, but still delicious. And then there's the jazz. Miami doesn't have nearly enough places like this. The musicians were talented, and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. If you're a serious jazz fan, you may wish there was a little more improvisation and a little less sticking to the standard arrangements. The vocalist was good, but none of the performances were particularly unforgettable. Still, that's not really why you come here. You come for an intimate room, live jazz, attentive service, great ambiance, and a memorable night out. Armstrong Jazz House absolutely delivers on that. I'll definitely be back.

Another thing that took their 5 stars was the alcohol options. It is all fermented alcohol and no name brands. We shared steak bites, truffle fries, and the chicken tostones. All the food was delicious. The service was also amazing. I forgot to add it smelled like caca in there.

Since…read morewe arrived early, the restaurant was still quiet and empty, which made for a relaxed start to the night. Our server, Lianys, was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and professional without ever being intrusive. She made excellent recommendations for both appetizers and main courses. The ambiance was casual elegant, and the live music added so much to the experience. A very talented band was playing, along with a young singer whose jazzy voice was absolutely beautiful. We ordered the black bean risotto and the Chino Latino fried rice, and both dishes were delicious, creative, and full of flavor. The prices were moderate for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, and the wine list, while modest, was very well priced. I especially recommend the Albariño, which was excellent quality at a very affordable price and, in my opinion, the best value on the list. Overall, it was a lovely and romantic night out, and Lianys was definitely the highlight of the evening.

So starting with the vibe/atmosphere 5/5 They really have such a beautiful location! The hostess quickly attended us and gave me a rose which was so sweet considering its Valentine's Day and my first as a wife so I got a keep sake cute touch. As for the entertainment throughly enjoyed the singer and band truly my favorite part to have a bottle of wine and have dinner to lovely music set. Service 4/4 Again it was Valentine's Day so the server was certainly busy but very sweet kind attentive so I'm sure it would be great on a normal day. Food 3.5/5 Here was where there was room for some improvement but I'm telling you I would still so go back to give it a shot on a non crazy busy day. We did have a limited menu for Valentine's Day still great options. We had the ceviche was my husbands favorite tasted very good and fresh. Dumplings which were supposed to be to be lechon but they didn't have any left so it was a mixed fish dumpling still good but wouldn't get it again specifically but I would opt to try the lechon one if it's available next time I go. Maripositas chinas was the slow roasted lechon with guava sauce that was my favorite! The guava sauce totally took it to the next level and a perfect temperature. Chino Latino rice that was sooooo delicious it also had pieces of maduro in it so hell yes! This could have been a little warmer but still delish and would get again. Last we got the churrasco steak but that was unfortunately not hot. I'll just sum that out to the hectic day being valentines but overall I look forward to going back again!
