Dun jazz bar with good cocktails and fabulous decorations. The singer and jazz band were phenomenal.

Great music, horrible wines. Pleasant jazz atmosphere in a dark jazz club vibe. Will definitely return but prefer to pay the corkage fee, next time. Didn't eat but the food around me looked great. Service was as expected, pay 20% for 5% worth of value. But again, the most shocking experience, was how horrible their wines by the glass were. I wish them well, it's a great jazz concept for Coral Gables, but please improve on the wine offerings, especially when you don't have a liquor license.

Beautiful intimate space with lovely live music and good bites and drinks. I got the espresso martini and it was fantastic and so well balanced. The truffle fries were good and so were the tostones. Great service and the welcome shot we got was such a fun introduction to the establishment. Reservations are strongly recommended as the place is smaller and can fill up quick.

We went here for the music. The place doesn't have a liquor license so it's pretty much mocktails . Service was ok the waiter was a little pushy- wanted us to order food right away and reminded us of our 2 hour stay limit. 4.2 stars.

This place is a gem. Surrounded by live jazz and great service, we started with cocktails and the chicken tostones appetizers followed by the French onion soup, blue note shrimp salad and skirt steak. Wrapped with the tres leches dessert. Chef's kiss!! Oh, and the Bordeaux was Devine. If you visit, you must experience this place!

Wow! We finally found our perfect go-to place for jazz, great food, and relaxing atmosphere. The place may be small but it's huge in personality and great personnel. The staff was friendly and, oh sooo efficient. Upon arrival they give you a complimentary shot of their passion fruit cocktail. It was delish We went as a big group to celebrate our friend's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our complete experience. The manager approached us and offered some of their specialty tea at table outside (on the house.) It was such an unexpected treat. He is definitely a gracious host. Can't wait to come back.

Nice vibes with food, drinks and live jazz. Service is good with attentive waiters but this place required reservations to be inside to see the band. Otherwise you're not gonna be able to go in. It's limited reserved seating. For after hours you can always sit outside and till enjoy the vibes. I'm giving it 3 stars because we couldn't go in and they don't sell real liquor. Their cocktails are all inspired drinks. It's still good but it was alittle disappointing to me that I couldn't get a real old fashioned.

Despite its name, this is not a place for serious jazz listeners, it's a nice restaurant with tasty food-albeit limited menu, excellent cocktails and great jazz themed and vintage decor. Very recommended for first dates or for a special occasions in particular if you choose corner table adjacent to the entrance. It's a small location but does have sidewalk seating. My companion and I enjoyed our meals-jazzy chicken francesa and the Cajun shrimp/calamari. The full house was not there for the music, they didn't even applaud throughout the evening. If you want a nice upscale evening with live background music, fabulous however, if you're looking for a serious jazz listening experience, stay away.

I'd like to come back, sit inside, and try the food. I love Jazz and I like that Armstrong appears to be a popular place to watch live Jazz in Miami. I can't speak to the food, but the cocktails we had were decent and the service was pretty good. It was full inside, so we sat outside at a few tables on the sidewalk yet we could easily hear the band. The Jazz? On the particular evening I went, it was somewhat boring and even a bit uninspired - almost like background music. Maybe that's the point of Armstrong - it's a place where you can enjoy light, easy-going Jazz for good conversation (if you can find it), food, and drinks.

The atmosphere at this place is super chill. The crowd is late 40s-70s ish. You do need a reservation, and on Thursday night that was definitely the case. The band was decent. Mellow. The space was super tight. Most the tables are alongside the wall, and it feels like you are on top of your neighbors. The one lady I basically shared an armrest with kept moving so much and bumping me every time she did, I felt like I was stuck on a flight with a toddler I couldn't escape from. The food was not what I expected, especially considering the prices, a bit underwhelming. The steak was well-prepared. But nothing spectacular. The salmon was well prepared too, but again, for the price it wasn't phenomenal. We also split the calamari and shrimp appetizer. Again, we have all had better, was the consensus. (My friend felt the sauce was very watery, I felt like it had a lot of condiments- salty.) I also ordered the French onion soup. That looked like it would be good, but I found it very over condimented, a lot of what tasted like cumin. I think the best thing about this place is the service. Our waiter Laz did his best to make sure we were happy.

Entrance - it is not a standalone building. It's in a plaza.

The estate of Louis Armstrong needs to send this place a cease and desist immediately. Respectfully. Armstrong Jazz House gives strong "there is no other jazz spot in Miami so let's just open something and hope people don't ask questions" energy. The *idea* is doing all the work here, because everything else is struggling to keep up. Let's start with the food. The menu is bad. The drink options are worse. And the food itself is almost impressive in how consistently disappointing it is. I have never had a French onion soup so aggressively unpleasant. The steak was completely unseasoned. The truffle fries deserve their own apology letter. How do you ruin truffle fries? That takes effort. The space is tiny to the point of chaos. Guests were being physically pushed as people came and went all night. Customer service was peak Miami in the worst way. Our waitress spilled a drink on us, brought the wrong meal, and somehow that was not even the lowest point. The manager was. We had planned a large party and communicated with the restaurant for weeks. Then, the night before the event, another manager called to tell us we suddenly had to meet an outrageous minimum spend because they had just realized we were basically booking the entire place except for a few tables. The night before. After weeks of planning. That alone soured the experience before we even arrived and showed a complete lack of foresight or professionalism. Now the music. Or whatever that was. You sit there thinking background music is playing through speakers, only to look over and realize no, that is the band. No announcements. No energy. Just quiet, underwhelming jazz happening to you instead of being performed for you. For a place built around music, this was shocking. Two stars because I do love the dark, grown, and sexy vibe. The atmosphere has potential. But this place could actually be great if it revamped the menu, fixed the drink program, trained the staff and management, and for the love of jazz, hired an MC or someone to actually introduce the band. Do that, and this might finally become the go to jazz spot it wants so badly to be.

Nothing like enjoying my bday weekend with friends at my fave live jazz bar in this area of Miami!…read moreWe called in on Saturday night and got a nice comfy half booth in the live music room right away. The room is so cool, staff is relaxed, cool and inviting. Tonight Ollie is onstage playing guitar, singing and taking all our favorite requests! We all sing along and have a great night of good food, good music, good drinks and great company of other live music enthusiasts! They have a fresh fish case stocked with great stuff including stone crab--The food is terrific! From my favorite raw bar starters, fish soup, sushi, whole fish, protein bowls, steak/chicken, kids choices, and the like. Menu is huge, something for everyone. The complimentary starter is fish dip and saltines. It Definitely sets the fish house mood! I love the decor--so jazzy, so mardi gras, so eclectic kitsch. It's just a relaxed fun time right on Miller Drive. Feels almost like a speakeasy! Aahhh, Miami--so chock full of these little unsung spots that you must be a local to know the secrets! All the fun is inside here. Check it out, it's all good at the Fish House. Thanks for following me, happy 2026! ~Tami in Miami

Visited this past Friday for Happy Hour. Had not been here in years…read more We have been to the one in Key Largo which is also fantastic. Nice and rustic ambiance, definitely seafood related decor. Welcomed to the table with crackers and seafood dip. I could eat a tub of the dip! Ordered two Margaritas for $6 each which were excellent in regular good size mug. Service was very good team effort. Appetizer was conch fritters, rather small, but tasty with dipping sauce. Lobster bisque on point, can eat a 5 gallon bucket of this easily. My wife had the fried shrimp with parsley potatoes. Tasty and enjoyable. I had the shrimp linguini covered in Parmesan sauce. Ate every bit of it even though I should of taken half home. Definitely recommend going for Happy Hour and save half the cost of dinner menu. Almost forgot Cuban Mojito to finish off the meal. Overall, just as good as the first time we came years ago. Go get yourself some !!!
