We are past game 4 and some teams are playing without an uniform…read more There are no referees for the smaller kids so coaches have to referee and coach at the same time and then kids can even be bullied by other kids. Imagine, at that age when they are starting with their love for the game then be bullied in the field? Some teams have 5 players while other have 10 players so kids may have to sit half the game due to this level of disorganization. When you bring up your concern to the league then instead of an apology you get shamed for not volunteering (what if you have no time to volunteer?). I am grateful to the parents that volunteer but then the league needs to only absorb the kids they can pay referees for and for whom there are enough volunteers. In any case, I'm not sure where the dues went (over $100) if there are no proper referees and so many delays in uniforms. I will not return to this league and highly recommend that if you can look for a traveling team instead. Maybe look around and see if the other AYSO leagues are better, although I think this has to do with AYSO in general. If you join expect it to be very disorganized and poorly staffed.

This league completely went down hill! The final straw aside…read morefrom favouritism, dirty teams and horrible refs was having to play in 1 foot grass!!! Yes, you read that right 1 foot high grass!!!! you pay $36 for your ID per person, $100 for your team to play there a year and $85 for ref. You would think you would get some nice fields to play on, but nope we get 1 foot grass! We are at a better managed league now in Glendora, great competition, and the owner personally mowes the lawns if need be. Needless to say no 1 foot grass there!:)

Beware! Unprofessional coaching and no regards for parents…read more I signed my 9 y/o up for her first year, which automatically put her into the minor league because of age. This meant it was a step above the farm league, to my knowledge because I wasn't informed on how the system worked. Our first day was about registration, try-outs and jersey sizing. Got the the park and there weren't any signs showing us where to go or where to start. I can imagine how most of the first time parents felt. In the email, they stated try-outs started at 10AM. We didn't even get onto the field until 11:30AM. Yes, there was a lot of 'farm league' kids who went ahead of us, but could there have been a little more organization? Such as, signs pointing where to go and a start time that was closer to what was stated in the email. The next email stated to meet again next week for try-outs. We showed up when we didn't have to! I only knew of this because I asked another parent, who was in the league the year prior. And, he said if I've already shown up last week....we didn't need to show up again this week. Again....with the disorganization and misinformation provided. Our third week was "first day of practice" with a professional major league from the Angels. Since my daughter was in softball, she didn't get the opportunity to practice with him because he was with the boys practicing baseball. So, we got to practice with the Alhambra HS girls softball team. Mind you, these girls aren't coaches nor do have any experience coaching girls softball. But, the league still trusted them to coach little girls. Another thing was there weren't any signs again, showing the parents where to go. During practice my daughter suffered a horrible injury with a ball being thrown really hard to her left cheek by another HS player. Luckily her glasses didn't shatter into her eyes! And like I said, these girls are not meant to be coaching nor should have the authority. But the league still trusted them to do so. There were a couple older volunteer coaches around but they were not apart of the practice, more of just sweeping the field. Lastly, as I sent an email requesting for a refund which took longer than it should have. I emailed them 3 times asking to speak with the head coordinator about the incident and got no response not even a phone call. Now this results in my daughter not ever wanting to play. And, anyone who is thinking of joining should check out what's going on with this organization(disorganization) before they waste their money here. This review is mainly for the softball side of the organization, I don't know too much about the boys baseball. But, from other conversations with parents, they seem ok.

My daughter has participated in this league's softball teams for 3 years so far and has enjoyed…read moreevery minute of it. The coaches are all volunteers as well as everyone on the board. The only ones paid are the umpires. The only thing my daughter complains about is that there are not enough teams to play against. It's sad that they keep on playing against the same 3 or 4 teams throughout the season. I hope they can get at least 2 more teams than normal together this year.
