A busy beach worker was setting up the chairs and umbrellas, and informed us that the chairs would be $20 for two and $15 for the umbrella. Luckily, I had cash on me which was a miracle..LOL! Once he finished setting up he advised that all guests of Marriott properties, chairs and umbrellas are complimentary.... BET! All you have to do is show your room key and BAM, I saved $35 bucks! I did give him a nice tip for the info because we would have never known and just paid the fee! I wanted to kick myself for only coming on our last day because it was truly the island vibe I enjoy.. FYI: The Piña Coladas they sell here are very expensive and low in alcohol compared to most places on the island but it is nice to have one in a pineapple while enjoying the beach and water. BTW: bring everything you need to enjoy a nice day here because it's one of the most amazing spots on the island and if you leave you'll lose your spot. I miss you Puerto Rico!!! The shore has the beautiful earl shells with purple on the inside. Waters are medium some days it may be calmer than others. Other days the waves may be a bigger lol I love all the food items they sell while sun bathing. The heritage of the flags on the beach you feel the boricua pride.

There are food and drink vendors, making it convenient to spend the whole day here. The atmosphere was lively, with a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the shoreline. My only negative experience was with parking. A park attendant directed us to a specific area to park, and we later returned to find a parking ticket on our vehicle. After speaking with a city employee, we heard this happens quite often. Whether it was a misunderstanding or not, it definitely put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable visit. Aside from that, the beach itself was clean, welcoming, and a great place to spend a day by the ocean.

Some more info about this spot/Place- this spot is on Route 187 between Isla Verde and the Rio Grande. means - if you are planning to Visit Playa Flamenco (which is a Must do- cause it is one of the top beaches in the world) and if you are coming back to San Juan to catch a flight then I would suggest taking this route 187. a couple of reasons for this- 1) Pinones area which is famous for its street/roadside small/decent food joint - you don't wanna miss if you are a foodie 2) Scenic Route 3) You wanna save money on toll skipping Route-66 (no sense paying rental company for its transponder and $10/day)

It's slippery and you have to wear water shoes or you might get hurt. My guy ended up getting a few cuts cuz he slipped while catching me. We also didn't see too many fish while we were here. However, I did enjoy reaching my book while listening to the sound of the waves/water. Much nicer than being surrounded by a ton of people talking.

You do have to watch where you step because there are sea urchins on the reefs but a lot of the cove is just sand under the water.
