Long and undeveloped. Uncrowded meaning you brought the majority of the beachgoers in your vehicle. It's a long beach so find your own spot. Nice sand, nice water and lots of vegetation along a beach where you see no buildings or very few buildings. You can park yourself in a shade spot on the beach and close to the water and not be bothered by anyone if you picked your group members correctly. A better beach than Luquillo Beach, though there are no facilities here and they are really two different types of beaches. Luquillo is good too, though good and crowded. All along the highway are vendors cooking up lechon in those round black grills, just smokin' away on the side of the road. Smelled so GOOOD. Having just had breakfast we didn't stop and assumed that the roadside BBQ's were elsewhere in PR. Unfortunately we didn't see them anywhere else but right here and we didn't come back this way. Those people who say they wouldn't change a thing if they relived their life are just plain loony. I wanna go back and do some things differently, like stop for roadside BBQ lechon on Hghy 187. The actual town of Loiza is a bit further along. Supposedly the Spanish sent slaves here in the 1600s and some of the local residents are descendants. In 1719 the Spanish government officially declared Loiza to be a town. It was later demoted to rural area again, and in 1962 became a town again, with a population of 1,146 residents.

Some more info about this spot/Place- this spot is on Route 187 between Isla Verde and the Rio Grande. means - if you are planning to Visit Playa Flamenco (which is a Must do- cause it is one of the top beaches in the world) and if you are coming back to San Juan to catch a flight then I would suggest taking this route 187. a couple of reasons for this- 1) Pinones area which is famous for its street/roadside small/decent food joint - you don't wanna miss if you are a foodie 2) Scenic Route 3) You wanna save money on toll skipping Route-66 (no sense paying rental company for its transponder and $10/day)

Seven Seas Beach was one of those for me. Coming from the mainland, it almost felt unfair how naturally beautiful this place was--clear water, palm trees, soft sand, and mountain scenery all blending together into one peaceful view. AMBIANCE Parking: There's a parking lot but there's parking on the road. I'd probably prefer parking on the road if you're going to leave as the beach closes (the line can get long) Seating: Plenty! Whether it's in the main beach or the hidden beach you got a lot of choices. Vibes: The area is a more calmer side of Puerto Rico. Fishing-town environment with local bars, seafood spots, and opportunities for bio tours. The main beach is really nice with with turquoise water, green palms, and views toward the surrounding landscape. There are a few kiosks setup if you do want to grab some food. If you're up for an adventure, coming from the main entrance, you go through a forest (enjoy the sights and sounds, like the coquis) for a good 30 minutes you can enjoy "playa escondido" a beautiful secluded beach with the common calm, shallow, and crystal clear waters but less human traffic and a better view of sunset. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. B-E-A-utiful! I'm glad to have stumbled across this spot. My only wish was that I was there longer to enjoy and take it all in. This beach is amazing -- clean, soft sand, clear water, calm waves. It looked like there may be some reef or wave break way out in the distance. So, that probably helps. When I visited (October), it was pretty empty. Hardly anyone on the beach most days and it's a very long stretch of sand. Nearby, there are plenty of restaurants too. But, it is mainly a quiet residential area and locals going here. Overall: Great beach. Perfect if you want to swim and enjoy the water. Sand isn't bright white (it's more of a dark tan). But, it's still beautiful and amazing. Highly recommended.

We crossed the busy street carefully with our coolers and trekked alongside the pavement until we saw people. This is definitely a family beach. Loud music and conversations emanated from beach blankets all over the sand. There were available spots, but not many. My favorite part of this beach was the small rock outcropping which held back the larger waves and made a shallow swimming area much like a calm swimming pool. Small groups were able to stand and enjoy the water without the need to struggle against the current. The beach was natural, so palm fronds and seaweed were scattered about, but it was also clean. Trash cans were lined up at regular intervals so there was no litter. Due to the proximity to the airport, planes took off frequently nearby. It was loud, but also cool to see the planes fly so close overhead. It was fun to spend an afternoon the same way that so many local residents spent their weekend days.
