A high 3 stars, but still 3. This place has a LOT of selection. From video games to comics to DVDs to T-Shirts to Arcade cabinets, they fill the space the space they have very well. 25 cents for all the arcades is a fantastic price and if you're into that, it's really awesome and they have a bunch of cabinets to choose from. They impress with their selection of retro video games and even had a single TurboGrafx 16 game. Rows and rows of comics, but I didn't look through so I don't know the quality of the selection. The problem arose when it came to price. The retro sports games were like $1-5, as they should be, but the more popular games were so overpriced! I'm talking like $20 more than go for on eBay for some of them. Both Doom and Super Mario World were $35; WAY too much for those games. Plenty of other things were prices that were almost always above the highest eBay prices. I got two things: one at an ok price that I don't see often and something that was actually a good price, but it wasn't a game. As far as games go, they are astronomically overpriced. I'd recommend checking them out, but be wary that you're not gonna score many deals. They are pricing to idiot collector's in it for nostalgia, not the actual knowledgable collector in it for the art of the hunt. read more

I went in here for games, and they had a pretty good selection! Three pinball machines (the Godzilla one was broken unfortunately) and a lot of old games throughout. Every game is a quarter which is amazing, especially since most arcades charge so dang much. It's also a store and has a lot of comic selection on top of gear for you to wear and play. This is place is pretty awesome. Definitely a treat to 80's babies and anyone into video games, sci-fi, anime, and stuff like that. One of the things that you first notice is that they have an arcade area off to the right of the entrance. There's about 25 games from the 80's and 90's and they're all 25 cents to play! They also sell older console games, DVDs, comic books, t-shirts, and many different kinds of collectibles. The prices on most items, especially DVDs are really good, but occasionally you'll see something marked a little high. In my opinion, that's kind of expected for a store like this because it's pretty hard to compete with online prices. Anyways, this is pretty much your one stop shop and even if you have no intentions of making a purchase, it's a cool place to just browse and go down memory lane. The variety of items available rivals any gamer store I've been in. The addition of the coin op games and pinball are amazing. Very helpful staff . Heard about this place when my family booked a week at the nearby SeaWatch and as a Nashville-area arcade gamer, couldn't resist the urge to visit and I was floored. Any place that favors a variety of substance-heavy retro games over a bunch of crappy, overly-rigged ticket redemption games like everywhere else in Myrtle Beach deserves a medal. I also enjoyed looking at a big variety of comics and gaming memorabilia when I got the chance. If my family returns next summer (2019), I will definitely be back, especially if they still have Super Off Road. Bonus points for having a Hooters nearby. read more

My brother had found this store a couple of months ago while vacationing in Myrtle Beach and told me to check it out. It is a wonderful store with a vast selection of video games and comics to choose from. The prices are competitive and the staff are friendly. This place restocks frequently, so every visit is different. The guys that works there are very knowledgeable of their products and are always fun to talk too. My wife and I are retired, but we've been playing video games since Black and White Pong was state of the art. Ran into this place a few years ago, and its quite amazing. Picked up a hand full of PS2 games that were missing in my collection, a few Zelda pillows and stuffed animals, a couple books. As someone else said in a review, this is a "Hidden Gem"! Outdoes EB, and any other big store out there. Take some time and relax in their retro 25 cent arcade while you are there! A+ in my opinion.
