Great experience with purchasing and installing our children's swing set! We visited the location on a Sunday and the entire swing set was installed by Thursday morning. Play Nation came to install exactly ON TIME which is definitely appreciated and hard to find. 1 man installed the swing set while it was lightly raining in about 4 hours ($400). The best thing is that the swing set comes with a 15 year warranty and was installed in 4 hours. You can try save yourself money by installing it yourself but I have only heard horror stories about this and it that would also be without warranty. Save yourself the headache and frustration and have it done professionally! They reinforced the need to seal the swing set within 60 days and every 2 years to keep it looking nice since it is cedar wood. They didn't cap some of the screws at the base, but otherwise we are very happy so far. read more

Our second interaction with PlayNation was as wonderful as the first!! We bought our set 2 years ago and it was time to reseal it. They promptly scheduled our service, showed up right on time and did a great job! We were concerned because as the work was completed it started to rain, we made a quick call to the office and the next day our service team came back to inspect and touch up a few spots. This is a 5 year old playset they installed. We were never told to seal it, the bottom main frame is rotting and the kids are no longer safe on this playset. I've tried several times to get someone to come out here and help us fix this, after several calls and emails ... their answer is basically to order new wood and have someone come out and repair it at our costs of course. We do not even know which of the 1000 pieces needs repair so we are in limbo. I should have read the BBB for this company prior. Once they got our money we were on our own. read more

The people at Playnation were super friendly and helpful... until after they had our money. Our wooden playset ($5k+) had some damaged pieces one arrival. They went ahead and put the set together, promising that they would get replacement wood and then be able to seal our set. That was December of 2017. As of July 2018, some of the pieces were replaced (in June, a full 7 months after install), and others are still not here. This means that our set had also not been sealed yet, so it has been sitting in the Florida rain and sun for a full 8 months. I call and call and call and almost never get calls back. When they do return a call, it's just more excuses. The wood is on back order. It took 2 weeks for them to order and install my playset, but now 8 months for a few pieces of wood? So disappointing, to spend so much on a product and then be left unsatisfied. read more

Play Nation Orlando was very easy to work with. I was puchasing a swingsets for my grandchildren. I am from another state. When the phone lines were busy, Felix actually answered on his cell and had them call me back. Stephanie was helpful selecting the setthat met my needs. It was delivered on time. Only glitch was that we had the wrong assembly directions which caused us to think we were missing parts. Stephanie emailed the correct directions and voila a swingset! In the end, we got what we paid for: delivery and installation of a PlayNation Biscayne playset. The fact that we (finally) did get what we paid for is the only reason I've given them two stars. Our experience with them has been an ordeal- stressful and very disappointing. PROS: Dave. Dave is an installer and is frankly the best part of this company in my opinion. He is friendly, kind, very knowledgeable and reliable. My only interactions with him were when he was on-site at my home on two occasions, but in both cases he was a class act. He was friendly and efficient at getting his job done, had a high standard of his own work, and was very kind with my children who were anxious to see and play on their new playset. CONS: Extremely poor communication, unable to fulfill their promises or take responsibility for the situation, and they repeatedly failed to meet their own promised schedule. I don't even know where to begin with this. In a nutshell, we ordered a playset on February 17th and were promised installation by February 26th. Installation of our playset was completed 3 months later on MAY 21st. Our set was partially installed in mid-March at our urging due to our child's upcoming birthday party. The delay was based in part on parts that were missing when shipped from the distributer and in part on a need to replace replacement parts that were damaged by an inexperienced installer who was sent to our home. At the end of the day, the owner chalks this whole situation up to something that was completely out of his control, but what I see is a failure to take responsibility for a contract that he made with a client. This company's poor (or often non-existent) communication was completely within their control. We routinely had issues with office staff promising to follow-up or return phone calls and failing to do so. I do think the owner is actually quite well-intentioned, but his ability to stand behind his promises and make his client a priority is lacking. I have no doubt the company will contest this review, as they have a pattern of not taking responsibility and putting the blame elsewhere (read the BBB reviews for more examples- I wish I had before I did business with them), but facts are facts. We were given a few small freebies for our trouble ($45 retail value), but they were nothing compared to the half-dozen times we re-arranged our work schedules or took off work for installation appointments that were cancelled at the last possible minute and for the time and effort (phone calls to the company, phone calls to the corporate office, exploration of our legal options and preparation for a small claims filing) that went into chasing this company down and pressing them to complete the job for which they had been paid in full. If you're paying as much for a swingset as many people pay for their first car, you deserve to be treated like a valuable customer. read more

The play sets seem like they come from toys r us. Their prices are grossly over marked. I would not trust the installers to put together ikea furniture. I bought a glass backboard from these guys because i needed it asap and I need a team to install it. It took them four visits to figure out how to install the backboard and the L brackets they used aren't designed for this type of weight and shock. The installer had to ask me about how to measure an offset from the rim to the first bolt! I had to hire a second installer to come out and fix their work. The installers also brought their young children onsite without asking permission. The whole experience was very unprofessional. The installation was 700 for just putting 8 bolts and 4 insufficient L brackets. The backboard I could've gone the identical model from Dick's at a fraction of the cost. If you can tell the difference between a bolt and a nut and own at least $10 worth of tools, you have no need for these guys. read more

I had to call PlayNation to have our swing set repositioned due to having a pool put in. This was back in November 2018. The scheduling was prompt. The guys came out on-time as promised and took care of the job. They even fixed an issue with the slide while on site. Everyone is always polite and courteous. Great shop. read more

We have had our playset for about six weeks now and couldn't be happier with it! The whole experience was so easy and I didn't feel like I was being pressured. Felix came to measure our yard, and provided some suggestions as to what would fit in our space and was very straight forward about costs and options. I took a few weeks to think about it and decided to go with one of the customizable sets, the Royal Palace, as it provides a bigger play deck. My son just turned six and he is already looking like he will be tall like his dad so I was concerned he would quickly outgrow smaller sets, especially the ones we had been looking at from the local big box stores. I placed the order, was provided the info needed to submit the HOA forms and a couple of weeks later when it came in, I was notified and scheduled the install. The gentleman who installed it was very professional and efficient. It took him nearly all day - arriving around 7:30 and finishing up around 5:30 - and he did it all by himself! He even moved the old metal swing set out to the street which was hauled away by someone looking for metal scraps so I didn't even have to mess with that! When my son got home from summer camp that day he was blown away because he had no idea it was coming and he has spent almost every weekend outside on it. This past weekend we had his birthday party and there were 6-12 kids on it at any given time and even some parents got up on the deck. Plenty of room and everyone had so much fun. The neighborhood kids now want to play here since we have the "cool playset" which is great because I can keep an eye on him. Overall the experience was pleasant, and we are extremely satisfied with the results, and would recommend Play Nation Orlando to those interested in getting a playset for their yard! read more
