We are located about 3 miles away from Costco, WinCo,the mall, and Walmart so you don't really need to drive far for whatever you may need, as well as about 3 miles from the college, so great for people going to CSUB. We've never once felt unsafe, and we came here from Lancaster where you would lock your pets up if someone came down the road. Overall it's a great place to live!

Work orders have been lagging behind for weeks, often times with management forgetting about the appointment. When I moved out a huge chunk of my deposit was taken out to repair things that were there prior to moving in and written in lease agreement. The apartments are old and there were lots of spots on the carpets, dings, and the carpet was old and falling apart, all things that were not fixed prior to my tenancy, and I got charged for those after I moved out. There were even dead larvae/alive bugs in the multiple layers of kitchen flooring they had under the stove, I was not the only apartment battling this. Enjoy throwing away food. I would not recommend this place again. If you do move in, take pictures of everything, they do not pay attention to lease agreement.

At one point my father needed to stay with me as he was very sick in a down cycle with kidney cancer. I was out of town for work and far from home, but he was freezing in the apartment with the heat turned all the way up. After hours the staff brought him a pair of space heaters to make sure he was comfortable and it was appreciated more than I could ever express. Park Square was a great three years and a highlight of my time in Bakersfield. Im not usually one to review places, but I feel obligated for how well I was treated and how wonderful the apartment experience was. Couldn't recommend it enough and can only imagine 2-3 other places in all of Bakersfield even coming close to matching the experience - and most important the cleanliness. The apartment is really nice and was SO CLEAN upon move-in. The neighbors have all been friendly. The community is quiet and private. The gated entry adds an additional level of security. Lotus Villas is pet friendly with lots of grass area, and so far, it seems everyone is really good about cleaning up after their pets. Zero complaints!!!

Yes, you have neighbors and sometimes have to deal with the noise that comes with sharing walls, same as any other apartment complex, but when it comes to the complex as a whole, the office staff was always helpful, respectful and responded to requests in a timely manner and with a good attitude. The service technician, Harvey, is just awesome. Really good at what he does, and is one of those guys you just want to chat with because he's nice. The only reason we are moving out is because we finally found a house to buy. After 2.5 years of living at Watermark, I can easily say I'd highly recommend. It's clean, it's safe, it's quiet (outside of the things you deal with at any apartment complex that ever existed), and the people are good.
