Was in Rolla from out of town. I brought my 2007 Tundra in due to a tire pressure light that came on. Without an appointment they got me right in and found a rusty nail in the tire. Unfortunately the tire was not able to be repaired. Bill looked for a replacement tire and thought they had one in the warehouse. Unfortunately this was not the case due to the tire being discontinued. I was able to stop by the next morning and Bill was able to get me right in for two new tires on the back end. The road hazard covered about 120$ on the new tires. I was very pleased with the team at Plaza Tire in Rolla. I take all my tire needs to the store in Arnold MO and the service and crew in Rolla were as good as the service I receive from my local store. I was in and out in a few hours and on my way back to St. Louis. read more

"They use deceitful tactics to upsell their services. As a tire shop I understand the need to sell tires, however, planting a nail in the tread of my tire will not convince me to purchase one of your tires. In fact, quite the opposite effect takes place. I write a review warning younger college kids not to use their services. I went in a few minutes ago to have them mount a set of used tires. These tires passed through scrupulous inspection from several mechanical experts--as they were from a salvage yard. Salvage tires are marked for size along the tread. At the time I purchased the tires there was no nail near those markings. The tires were in near perfect condition when purchased. A friendly Plaza employee offered to rotate my tires for me--another $20, which I kindly refused, and disappeared with my car. About five minutes later, he reappears and informs me that there is a nail in my tire--which would conveniently cost $20 to fix. I went back to inspect the tire myself, and sure enough a nail had been hammered into the tread about an inch from the handwritten markings. Again, I would have had to read the tires at the yard to know what size they were in order to purchase them. The cashier at the salvage yard, and other workers who handled the tire, inspected it for damage and marked it accordingly would have seen the shiny pinhead of metal. So, how is Plaza tire the first to notice this nail? Good thing I was at a tire shop! I could just purchase their tires instead! Not. The nail was not dirty or black. It was silver and shiny with a touch of rust, and the tread around the nail was in near perfect condition--which is hard to pull off if there was 2 tons of force that had been rolling it into the pavement. I refused their offer to fix the flat, and disallowed them the opportunity to suggest their own tires. The salvage yard, with whom I work closely on many projects is very upset with the outcome, but is allowing me to exchange the tire that Plaza damaged. Please avoid them at all costs in the Rolla location. They may be profiling and ripping off countless college-aged students by luring them in with friendly smiles and a welcoming waiting area then "informing" them of bogus car ailments to pocket more money." -Lee S. read more

My cousins from Wisconsin came to ROLLA for a relatives 90 th birthday ... Unfortunately while In town they experienced some car trouble. They stopped in and not only did the service guy check out the car and find the problem (leak in steering fluid hose or something ) he advised them how to manage the issue untill they got back to Wisconsin so they could take the car to their regular mechanic.
