Terrible Office Care & Incompetent Scheduling Staff! I scheduled an MRI appointment weeks in advance for Tuesday at 7 a.m., only to have it canceled the night before--after the office had already closed--so there was no way to reach anyone or find out why. The next morning, I called and was told that the MRI tech for Scapula only works on Fridays. If that's true, why was I ever scheduled for a Tuesday? This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Patients are in pain and trying to get help, yet this office demonstrates no organization, no accountability, and no regard for patient care. read more

They are very unorganized and have no clue what they are doing. Just spoke to multiple agents and their radiologists are awful. They needed the order and then need an authorization after I got them everything they wanted another urgent they work on their own NorCal timeline which has no sense of urgency what so ever. I honestly feel that many healthcare organizations like this shouldn't even be in business. The system is terrible, and the scheduling staff seem completely incompetent. Our physician sent them an order weeks ago, yet when we call to make an appointment, they insist they have no record of it. I explained that our doctor had already sent the order and even provided us with a printed copy. I asked if they could look it up in their system using the order number. The scheduler responded, "I don't need the order number, I need the order." Seriously? They can't even look up an order using the order number? How does a business like this manage to stay open? read more

Imaging is great, but office staff experience is lacking. They are too busy looking at their desks to look up and acknowledge you when you come in. You feel like you're bothering them when you go for a procedure. Also, they refused to give me the results of my scan, saying it was federal law that they had to wait 7 days to post it to the portal. I haven't looked that up, but I'm pretty sure that is BS. I got the results from my doctor so whatever. Just felt like they could care less about me as a patient. read more

Last month, I had a Breast MRI and had the good fortune to meet site manager Yolanda after a bit of miscommunication with the front desk at the point of check in. Yolanda arrived promptly and listened attentively to my concern. The techs treated me with kindness during the MRI. Now given my concern, I got to speak with Yolanda a few more times by phone and in every encounter she was professional, courteous and solution-driven. First, I got a call 20 minutes before the procedure saying it was cancelled due to the machine being down. I was literally on my way to the appt. Called to reschedule. Finally the day of the appointment. Went in & filled out the forms. Everyone was called in but me & I was 10 minutes early. I had to sit there for 20 minutes and listen to 3-4 people in the reception area LOUDLY discuss their Thanksgiving plans. Highly unprofessional. read more

I would give a rating zero, had to spend over 2hr 30 min for an MRI. Other than the tech everything else was extremely bad. The appt time was not set for a wrong time and had to wait for 75 min before the process started and another 30 min after to get the report. If I could give lower, I took my Mom for X-Ray at 11:48AM. At the Reception I was refused to check her in because their lunch time was starting after 12 minutes. My Mom was in wheelchair and it really is difficult to load her up and down from the Car. She is 88 yrs of age. I explained humbly to pl help. There was one else in the waiting room. I asked what time do you close for lunch, she said all are gone but didn't tell me the time. I was annoyed because she wasn't ready to look up in the computer to check her prescription. I told her I would report this behavior to upper authority. She then shared to her coworker what I mentioned. The coworker didn't even notice me. read more

I was scanned at this facility twice over a 3 day period for two different areas. I am again scheduled for a third in two weeks. This facility runs smoothly. It's a little less wait and hectic during weekend appointments. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had to wait a little longer on a weekday appointment, but that should be expected as sometimes scans don't go according to plan. I would definitely return to this imaging center as I think they do a good job as compared to other sites I have visited. read more

I went in for a ct. scan it was my first ct scan. I told them I was nervous as I have had an mri in the past when I was younger and explained that I was claustrophobic. When the technologist called me back I said I was nervous and was hesitant about hopping onto the bed to do the ct scan. He showed me how the machine worked. I got on the table I was still nervous. He said I could listen to music on my phone. I put music on my phone left my phone on table by the time the second song came on I was done with the scan. read more

I normally go to a different NorCal Imaging location but today I needed to come here for some X-rays. The facility itself is fine and the technician was great. Kent? was funny and out me at ease while I got X-rayed. But the front desk is what knocks off 3 stars. I signed in and it took them 30 minutes to get me started. 30 minutes! I finally got called to fill out paperwork and give them my ID and insurance information. The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. She seemed like she was having a bad day and wanted everyone to know about it. My encounter was brief but extremely unpleasant. People are coming here because they are in pain and need help. I would think whoever is working at the front would be more kind and compassionate. read more

HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE NorCal / Radnet. Called to get an ultrasound done on a 90+yr old for DVT. Was told we had to wait two plus weeks for an appointment as a Doctor had to be present for the procedure. We waited for the appointment and when we arrived there was no power to the building... No Battery Back up, No Generator... ? we were told to go home and they would call us... several hours later we got a call to reschedule in a few more weeks... I asked if a doctor was going to be present and was asked why. I informed the caller that I was told a "Doctor" had to be present for the procedure... the caller replied "a radiologist", I said they just told me a Doctor had to be present.. she then yells at me that a Radiologist is a Doctor. AND REFUSED to make the appointment. Told me to call the office manager who refuses to return a call. read more

Let me start by saying that I would easily give this place 5 stars if it weren't for what I will refer to as the shrew that works at the front desk. Yes....her attitude alone managed to knock off three stars. Allow me to explain... The day I went in for my appointment I had laryngitis. I could not project my voice and when I did, it was barely a whisper but I did my best to communicate. When I approached the front desk, the shrew was immediately abrupt with her questions. I answered the best I could and attempted to convey that to her by touching my throat but apparently the message was not received. She had more questions for me and when I attempted to answer she would interrupt me by asking the question again then tell me that I need to speak up. Luckily I had my father with me and I motioned to him to please step in as I was increasingly becoming frustrated. In a rather curt manner, he immediately told her what was going on with me and answered the question. When I walked back, another patient sitting down said, "She's nasty!" And yet another patient passed me as she walked out saying, "Good luck with that one. She's horrible." Apparently I wasn't alone in how I was being treated. I probably don't have to tell you that none of us patients are at that facility because we received great news from our doctor so her bed side manner is completely inappropriate. How the management at this facility allows her to stay employed is beyond my comprehension based on all the unsavory reviews she has gotten on here. So it appears it wasn't just one bad day for her. And if they don't want to fire her because she is obviously a poor fit for a medical facility then at least keep her in the back room and AWAY from affecting the public. Other than my experience at the front, this place was a lot better than the entire disaster at the Fremont location. Just gotta get passed that evil shrew first... read more

After four walkins and numerous phone calls, I made an appointment just for them to say they messed up and scheduled me at the wrong time of day. Then a gentleman called and had me come in 45 minutes early because he says they need extra time to find the vein. Well, it's past the original appointment time and they say they are running late. **updated** I have to give credit to the MRI technicians. They were wonderful today and empathetic and showed that they were caring and they were patient with what I had to go through. They also apologized that the rest of their MRI techs had gone home and left the one girl by herself until they called in another. I want to give a huge shout out to the two MRI techs from today. 5 Stars and huge thanks to the NorCal Pleasanton team who worked Saturday 9/10 (special hours, due to high demand). They're highly professional, warm/friendly & efficient. My MRI technician made me feel at ease - letting me know what to expect, and making sure I was comfortable. She had me in & out in less than 30 mins, with imaging disks for the ortho doc. (Note: Everyone needs to arrive 30 mins beforehand to complete paperwork. Everything ran like clockwork, there was no waiting.) Improvement needed: Scheduling an appt at NorCal Imaging is painful - whether you call the Oakland, San Leandro or Pleasanton #, you're on hold for over 30 minutes each time (while the recording repeatedly tells you how NorCal values your patience). I invested well over 2 hours in "phone time" (4 calls) to get the earliest appt. possible. NorCal needs more people handling the phones. read more

The administration of this location have no sense of a medical facility and the care and urgency required for such a place. They are absolutely wrong people for this kind of service. They answer the phone after 25 minutes. When I complain they say we have some hundred patients! I am wondering if all those patients are calling everyday at the same time?! The front desk staff is very slow. I have tried scheduling appointments on the phone for Ultrasounds and wait time was anywhere between 30 min to 1 hour. I was told they will call me back so I don't have to wait that long but I never received a call back. Walk ins for X-rays are also not efficient. I told the front desk staff that the physician's office has faxed orders for X-ray. When I checked back after waiting for half an hour she said she didn't have time to check if they have received the fax. The best thing during a pandemic would be efficacy as keeping people waiting in doors is not smart. read more

I have been to NorCal Imaging for quite a few years now for my mammogram. The staff is wonderful and the technicians and radiologists are very nice and efficient. However, trying to get an appointment is an extremely painful experience and the reason that I cannot give them 5 stars. This has never been a problem in the past but now that I am reading other reviews it seems to be big one now for some reason. I called three days in a row and sat on hold for over 30 minutes each day waiting for someone to answer in scheduling. I finally hung up each time because I had other things to do. On the forth day I finally pushed "0" for the operator and she told me that people have waited an hour on hold for an appointment. I told her that was ridiculous and that if their call volume was that high, they need to hire some more employees. She told me that they already 7 people back there scheduling. Really? There are that many people calling that need their services that it takes an hour for 7 employees to get to the calls in a timely manner? There is a definite problem here and if you have another option to go somewhere else, you should do so. Obviously NorCal is in no hurry to get your business. read more

First time I've been to this location and in comparison to Concord and Walnut Creek, this one is a lot better. Here for an MRI, Suite 106, so I'm not entirely sure what Suite 105 is like. Let's start with the waiting room, there are 14 seats spaced out throughout the room, however, every other chair is turned for social distancing. Erica was my first point of contact at the front desk. She was very sweet, polite, well mannered and professional. She explained all the paperwork clearly, ensured everything was completed properly, provided sanitized pens, there's always a bin for used pens when you're done. She made sure to keep me updated on any delays. They were running a little behind, but no big deal, like anywhere else, you just gotta be patient. Manny was my technician and he was also polite and professional throughout that entire procedure. He explained everything until I agreed I understood and was comfortable and ready to begin. I read some of the other reviews and seen mostly negative posts, but I don't have a negative point of view from my visit. Hopefully the next Yelper will have the same experience I did. You basically check in half an hour early to sit in their waiting room with a few other people during a pandemic. Unsure why it would take half an hour to get checked in and fill out forms. Last year, I waited hours to get the procedure done. It's mostly sitting around waiting and listening to the receptionist girls talk about how their weekend was. I don't understand why the wait before or even during pandemic. So stupid. So two patients that got in 15 and 20 minutes after me are called in. It's after 8am. My appointment is at 8am. They obviously are consistently calling me in late. Not surprised that the reviews are low. Unfortunately, it's not easy to try to go elsewhere. As I type, it's already 8:10am. I go in today sit for 20 minutes till the lady tells me the machines are down. She couldn't tell me that when I walked in. This place is so messed up. They do not have their crap together. I'm a doctor that uses MRI and imaging centers to evaluate my patients. Today I was reading a report from Dr John Hamlin. There are major errors in this report. As a physician, I attempt to call into the Norcal office. I used the physician line....it went directly to a hold music for 6 minutes. I will never send any patient to this facility again. I can't believe how bad their radiologists are. And I have no way to rectify this situation. read more

I have been to this location twice. The first visit was for my first mammogram and the second was for a pelvic ultrasound. Both visits were great. The front desk was professional and kind. Both of my technicians were professional and made the sessions comfortable. With my first mammogram I wasn't sure what to expect and My technician walked me through the whole process.
