We requested a doctor's excuse so I could drive my husband to his procedure, but we were informed that it was not possible. When we asked for an excuse for my husband, the patient, we received the same response, indicating that I would need to wait for him to finish. This experience has raised concerns about the professionalism of the staff, and I have chosen not to return in the future. Terrible, they have systemic problems. The office manager does not know how to speak to customers. They completely botched my daughter's biopsy and did not having the correct vendor lined up, in order to pick up a sample of tissue on the correct day. Then they tried to gas light us and blame it on my daughter. Do not go here ! awful beyond words. They cost us important time on an important biopsy. read more

I hope her replacement is as friendly and cheery as she is. Tracy was the technician that did my MRI. Again, very friendly, informative, made sure I understood what was going to happen and asked if I had any questions. Tina and Veronica were super great, I'd go back here any time. I made first contact with Veronica for scheduling and was able to send her some information via email which helped expedite things; she also noted the amount I'll owe and when the MRI was authorized. In person, she was just as pleasant. The actual MRI was also great, Tina was brief, seemed tired perhaps, but all went well. The MRI experience was pleasant, they had headphones you wear that played classical music and advised you beforehand how long each scan would be. My last MRI was with Kaiser, they took forever, had me get almost all the way undressed, and made a big to-do about everything. Bay felt like what the experience should be. Same body part (ankle) (still injured-thanks again kaiser) much easier experience. Left with the disk that day and self-addressed an envelop so I will get the report via USPS. read more

The Radiologist, Ravi Alagappan, M.D. is NOT covered by United Healthcare. I have spent the past 2 1/2 months trying to get them to pay for my x-ray. United Healthcare has informed me "After a careful review under your account, I see that the provider is showing to be out of network with us under the tax Id and the address which is there on the claim form. We processed the claim based on the information we received from the provider on the claim form and they are not part of the United Healthcare network". Not getting any help from this office - tell refer questions to their billing office in Antioch who are unable to assist in anyway. If you have United Healthcare as your insurance - find another provider as this facility is NOT Covered. read more

Office staff are lovely, nurses working the MRI equally lovely, no complaints there and if that was my only interaction I'd give 5 stars. The billing office however is AWFUL. Not only are their policies awful - made me pay my deductible (that had already been met) before seeing me for an emergency brain MRI appointment (yes not the most pleasant 24 hours of my life). But when calling for a refund of said deductible 6 weeks later, I was met with a very rude and unempathetic employee. For someone working in the health care field (emphasis on "care"), I expect a lot more. Huge turn off. Beware of billing practices and beware of this employee (unfortunately did not get her name before she hung up on me after she threatened to "suspend" my account and told me to go elsewhere for emergency MRI appointments in future!). read more

Very good service and very nice staff. Minimum paperwork and little wait time for appointment. Downside, couldn't send xrays except by USPS mail. No way of notifiying Primary of xray results. Office was a bit of a challenge to find. read more

I got an MRI here, and had the disc leaving the location. They were able to fit me in same day that I was referred over, and everyone was super friendly (I could barely walk coming in from severe leg pain). The doctor gave me a report, and I was able to go over it with my chiropractor and kaiser doctors easily. Bay Radiology - Waiting room - Diagnostic Imaging Near Me - San Ramon, California

I've had a lot of MRIs at a lot of different facilities and Insight Imaging was by far the best experience. I had a very long series of scans done yesterday; brain, cervical, and thoracic spin with and without contrast, so I was in the machine for over 2 hours which in and of itself just sucks but the staff at Insight Imaging helped to make it suck a little less. Peggy was my technician and she was very professional, sweet, and cheerful. I had virtually no wait time and was taken back to the dressing room right away. I was very happy to see that instead of the traditional (and revealing) robe they provided me with a full set of scrubs. I was very happy to not have to worry about my tush hanging out the back. She got me on the table, explained everything in great details. My first scans were the brain so I had the lovely cage over my head. I was really happy to see that they have an open MRI machine. While it doesn't do much for me since my head is all the way in, it does help with claustrophobia in that you can see the sunlight coming in from behind you and the air can flow through the machine. You don't feel like you're stuck in a tube. When we switched for my spinal scans she gave me headphones and I was able to listen to music. She had her personal iPhone with her which has Sirius Radio and allowed me to pick a station and listen to Sirius. That was a really nice personal touch. She did a great job injecting the dye for the contrast. It didn't hurt at all. When we were finished she had the scans and CD ready for me to take within 5 minutes. I couldn't believe how fast she was. I was very happy with my experience there. About an hour after I left I got a call that they needed me to come back and do a couple more scans. They were really apologetic and said it would be fast. When I got there this morning, they presented me with a $5 Starbucks card for my troubles. That was really unexpected and very nice. My tech today was Jarrett and he too was very professional and nice. We talked about hiking and Yosemite. I also met the Dr who reviewed my scans and he was also very friendly and kind. So, if you have to have an MRI for any reason, I highly recommend Insight Imaging. read more

Had an MRI done here. Nice office, plenty of parking out front. Jared was the name of my technician. He was very professional, explained the process and procedures to me and all. It took about an hour to complete, the paperwork and wait was minimal. Being my first MRI, I have no other MRI office to compare it against. The only negative was when administering the contrast, I was stuck three times in the arm to find a suitable vein. Not an issue to me getting stuck several times, but if you're squimish around needles or about getting shots, it probably is a real big deal for you about being a human pin cushion. Now all I have to do is get stopped by a cop and they'll think I'm a drug fiend cuz of the three needle marks in my arm! Overall, my experience here was pleasant and I would come back to have another MRI done here. read more

I had Tina as my mri tech and Veronica was in the front office. They were both so nice!! I had a few issues with my insurance and scheduling but they worked around it with ease and were very helpful towards me! I highly recommend them! I had an appointment and was called just a few hours prior to the appointment where they said they needed to reschedule because they were having issues with the imaging machine. I had to wait another 7 days to reschedule. I went to my doctor today to review the images and the resolution was not good (very grainy) so now I need to go in for another MRI and I am going elsewhere. MRIs cost a lot of money I am not sure if the machinery they are using is good if the images are grainy and it breaks down. One more minor thing is when I had the MRI you have to wear their pants. They gave me an xlarge and I normally /medwear a small. They were so large that the tie would not close and I had to walk around holding up my pants. I said to the technician jokingly 'wow I guess you only have one size' and the technician made a flippant comment 'no we have many sizes but you just need to walk over to the table'. read more

There was a last minute call from the Bay Radiology saying that my insurance will not cover a MRI exam. When I call my insurance and sort this problem out, I called the Bay Radiology to let them know that I would in fact come to do the scheduled exam. I believe they just wanted to deny the service and said: "ah, also, our scanner is down". A horrible, horrible imaging center to work with! read more

I have never had an MRI before. Tina was my Tech and she barley talked at all, it would have been a good idea to ask if I need to use the restroom, mention it was going to take 20 minutes AND that loud noises would occur. NO WARNING!! She had ZERO bedside manner. Just told me to lay still. I didn't have use of my left arm and she watched me struggle to get off the table before I finally had to ask for help. SERIOUSLY???~!!! I kept thinking about the people that have something seriously wrong with them or are afraid that something is seriously wrong with them. I saw no compassion, nothing. Glad I'm fairly young and was feeling OK going in. I will tell my Doctor about my experience and hopefully they will recommend somewhere else to other patients. read more

I was at this facility for a MRI. The first RULE for techs is NO HEAVY PERFUME or agent which can cause an Allergic reaction. I take this seriously and have first hand knowledge about Tech training and proper patient safety. The tech had on a high perfumed handlotion which caused me to have a reaction. The tech explained that it was no threat as it was just handlotion. She also had no idea that she should have been concerned to what was happening to me and simply suggested to come back another time. Because I have decades of exposure to training of techs and radiology centers, it appeared that she lacked good training by skilled professionals and schooling. There are sometimes small Radiology centers which occassionaly set up without making certain that the techs have the best of training to perform at the highest level. This was the worst experience I ever experienced in any Radiology Center. I suggest that a person who prefers the standard of good technologist go to centers which show certification of their techs. read more

I called them to set up a appointment and they told me my insurance does not cover a CT scan. They told me i should call my insurance, which is their job. I finally got them to call my insurance, they called me back and said it was 100% covered so i proceeded with a appointment. 3 months later i got a 700$ bill that im now stuck with. I should of been billed my half the day of not 3 months later. They also said my insurance would cover all of it. They are very lazy by not calling my insurance which is their job, and they also lied about my insurance covering my entire CT. Absolutely awful people to talk to! read more

I got a couple MRIs done here a couple weeks ago. They were my first so don't have another place to compare it with.. But don't have to - the customer service was excellent! Right from the front desk lady Wanda, whom I spoke to a few times over the phone and she was extremely patient and answered all my questions. Then meeting her in person was a pleasure. Very friendly and nice person. I also want to mention the MRI technician Jarett- he was great too. Very friendly and explained what to expect so well. I had two done back to back and he kept checking with me if I was doing well. Because of him, I could actually relax! i don't ever want a situation where I have to do MRIs but if I have to I would go back there and I highly recommend them. Had the opportunity to visit this office twice in 2015. The staff is professional and walks you through the steps to prepare for your exam. In my case it was an MRI of my foot injury, and then an MRI with contrast of my broken dislocated right shoulder. The MRI tech kept me informed through out the MRI and told me how much longer a I would be in the machine. For my shoulder MRI I choose the location, after my first excellant experience.
