Last night we noticed a wet spot in our ceiling in the kitchen and I found that water was dripping upstairs from a copper pipe that should've been replaced by a plumber years ago when he replaced all the copper pipe in our house. Overnight it got worse and drenched the kitchen table. So I reached out to Plumb Perfect Plumbing, and they scheduled a technician to come out today. To my surprise, their technician was able to get here even sooner than originally planned. Dan Lopez did all the work quickly and efficiently and took pictures of his work shared them with me. He was very professional. He removed the leaky pipes and took the time to explain to me exactly where the water leak was. Hired them to replace a shower faucet cartridge... The service tech Ricky was excellent. The price however was in my opinion much higher than I had anticipated. It cost $400+ to replace the cartridge and I had already removed the trim and handle.. Total of less then 30 min. work. An online search in my area revealed the averge cost is $275. read more

I've used this company a few times and again just recently. I won't be using them again and here's why..I needed my garbage disposal replaced. I removed the old one, and had the new one unpacked and all ready to go, I just needed the technician to install it. Before getting here I told the tech he would only have 15 minutes to do the install as I had an appt. that I had to get to. He assured me he thought he could do it. The new one was the same manufacturer, so it was a simple case of pretty much twisting the new one in. He did use some putty and replaced a small PVC pipe which he didn't really need to. Anyway, he did the install within 15-20 minutes. He gave me the estimate, which I thought was rather high, but with the sink torn up I was in no position to stop everything and try to get another plumber out and to see what everyone else was charging. He did give me a $75 discount because I had done some of the work. The total for 15-20 minutes was originally $437-$75=$362.00. I think this is an outrageous amount to charge, it was an easy install. I sent an email to the owner, and of course go no response. So, I called and spoke to the service manager. His reasoning was $437 was expensive, but it covers tech training, vehicles, insurance, office expenses etc. I have no problem with a business making a profit but this is an exorbitant amount to charge for 15-20 minutes of work. Apparently, they have Flat Fees for jobs, but won't give even a hint as to what these are over the phone, so you are in the dark until they arrive at your home, and in an emergency you certainly aren't going to send the tech away. So, while the tech was very nice, and apparently did a fine job this place is very, very expensive. read more

What a nightmare! I hate them... they put us in a situation with more unnecessary expenses. Very irresponsible company: they start a job without giving you a quote first, they used a snake to help a toilet to run better and the plumber was using too much force and broke the snake inside the toilet, and they decide NOT to be responsable, they just offered me to charge me again $450 for the installation of a new toilet or removal of the old one, they didn't want to guarantee their work done less than 24 hours ago. They blame it on the toilet the breaking of the snake. Didn't even offered to use a camera to see where is the part that the plumber broke. They just left and well now is our problem that we have to fix; what a rip off, scam and no warranty at all of their responsibilities and job. The manager was not apologizing at all and not offer any compensation for the damage that also includes the scratch of the toilet inside. They didn't offer to buy the toilet, remove the old one... NOTHING, now is MY problem . I will NOT recommend this company for anything, they don't back up their service at Thinking to taking to court for damages and expenses and the stress caused. So Unprofessional they need to loose their working permits. If I can give cero stars, I will but the Yelp system don't let me. read more

I'd contacted Plumb Perfect with concerns about a steady leak in the water supply to my townhome, expecting the worst. Dan arrived exactly as scheduled and did a thorough check of all my plumbing. Outstanding service! James was sent to help me with a possible gas leak from the gas line connected to my house generator and a noisy whistling coming from the generator when it runs. The gas company had responded first and said there was a slight leak detected with their device, and they replaced the gas meter. I am getting a new platform built to hold the generator and wanted to make sure to take care of the gas line too. Just like taking your car to a mechanic, the meter did not whistle loudly when the plumber showed up! James found no leak when he inspected. He suggested the problem might be that I need a larger gas meter. Further, there was no charge for this service! It's a relief to know that you can call upon a company who prides themselves in customer service and delivers! I will not hesitate to contact Plumb Perfect again!! read more

I called PP on Sunday to arrange for a bid to replace a garbage disposal and a bid for installation of a whole house tankless water heater. Whom ever I was talking with came back with a bid of 6 hours. 3 hours to install garbage disposal (took me less than 1 hour) and 3 hours to give me a bid in the water heater. Byer be ware, this outfit must think homeowners a stupid or have more dollars than sense. I will never ever call this plumbing shop again. I suggest you get multi bids and avoid Plumb Perfect. read more

We had an emergency with one of our tenants water heater. The technician was there very quickly and assessed the situation. He contacted me immediately and gave me a run down of the problem, solution and cost estimate. Since it was a Sunday, he couldn't get a new hot water heater that day. He put a temporary fix on the problem and scheduled a day that he Would come back with the new heater. He did exactly what he said he would do. The only negative I would say is that his original estimate was off about $600 because he didn't examine the hot water heater enough to realize there was a venting issue that would cost more money. I called 6 plumbers that morning and either they didn't answer their phones or they couldn't make it that day. This company was awesome. I definitely recommend them! I have been a customer of PPP since moving to the area over a year ago. Unfortunately, we have had to replace our well tank, a water heater, and most recently our well pump. We have used PPP each time and are extremely happy with their consistently prompt response time as well as their motivation to do the job done right each time! Last week, our well pump stopped working, it just gave out . I called for service and within 30 minutes they were here and were able to fix it right away. I have horses and the thought of having to wait for a water repair is panic inducing. We had three quotes to have a utility sink installed, all recommended by people in our neighborhood. We bought the sink and the faucet and the site is plumbed. Plumb Perfect gave us a quote of $1550. This was the TOTAL of the other two quotes---$700 over the highest other quote and double the lowest quote The other two were within $100 of each other. All quoted the same length of time required. I find Plumb Perfect unreasonably high and thereforeI could not recommend them to the neighbors or anyone else. I go for fairness and honesty when I hire someone. read more

I consider myself a relatively handy guy. I can do some basic carpentry and electrical work and I'm not altogether useless around my own home. But I hate to do plumbing. Honestly, it's like a mental block. I know how much water can damage a home, and I know how it can leak out of even the slightest of openings, so I'm pretty much terrified of screwing it up and destroying everything I hold dear. I had a few decent plumbers that I would hire in the past whenever things would take a turn. However, after relocating to Fredericksburg, I was left with no "go-to" plumber. Until I stumbled on Plumb Perfect. We moved into an older (historic) home and immediately started to notice wonky things about our plumbing. There was one noticeable leak that our home inspector somehow seemed to miss. There were a few toilets that acted downright strange. And pretty much every sink drained slowly. A few hours after a call to Plumb Perfect, and everything was working as intended. The leak was gone. A new toilet had magically appeared in my half bath and everything was right in the water world again. Drains drained. Toilets flushed. All was well. A few weeks later and...DISASTER. A pump that pumps waste out from a below-grade bathroom decided to take a head-first dive off a cliff. Plumb Perfect was - once again - on the scene in a few hours. A few hours after that, and the pump was replaced with a better one. Spencer - our plumber - was a hot mess (literally...he was sweating profusely and covered in...stuff), but the bathroom was not. All functioned as it should, and worrying was once again rendered unnecessary. Is plumb perfect expensive, as some reviews have said? Yes...yes they are. Am I okay with that? Yes...yes I am. Every job that they've done for me has been done professionally. They've been prompt, courteous and informative on each of their visits. They're upfront with their pricing and there are no surprises. They've used only the best products - from toilets that can flush a bucket of golf balls (editors note: here's to hoping I never pass anything the size of a bucket of golf balls), to pumps that are guaranteed for years and should well outlive those warrantees. To use clichés, you get what you pay for, and you can't put a price tag on peace of mind. When I hire Plumb Perfect, I know it's done right and I don't have to worry about it. After removing our toilet to swap out the wax seal (leaking), I found the base-ring was cracked; needing to be replaced... something I wasn't comfortable doing myself. The company rep did a great job, but the standard (fixed) labor cost was over inflated, considering what was done, which took only 30 minutes to accomplish. Thomas arrived yesterday early for estimate of first project. Next day Thomas and Ed, his journeyman, arrived promptly with new replacement toilet. They extracted the "antique" and installed the new Kohler replacement within one hour ... flawlessly. For the second project estimate, Thomas suggested a rational and cost effective solution to a water filtering problem which creates a noisy 20-minute cycling. They rebuilt a third toilet with items already on Thomas's truck. He runs an efficient operation. Both he and Ed maintained spotless conditions throughout one removal and two installations -- both unfailingly courteous and friendly. I'll recommend them to anyone and everyone I know. read more

Called this company to check on a leak and water pressure at my house in Spotsylvania. An employee named Thomas James showed up. After checking on the issues, he gave a detailed estimate with options and recommendations. He answered all questions thoroughly (over the phone because I was at work). His estimate was accurate, honest and service was overall outstanding! In the end, he replaced an outside faucet and fixed a gauge/meter on the pressure tank. He went straight to work and identified a possible solution to our "clog problem" that his company did not provide. We needed a simple sewer pump out. I had a horrible experience with this company. The dispatcher and both techs were incredibly nice, professional and were on time for both appointments. I was initially told the pressure tank needed to be replaced. After receiving an estimate for $1700 to replace a $300 tank i decided to purchase the tank myself and have them do the install because I refused to pay triple the amount for "their" tank. After the tech replaced the pressure tank and the problem was not resolved he then replaced the pressure switch, that also did not fix the issue, he then informed me I needed a new well pump and that it was going to run me roughly $4000-$5000 and I would need to contact another company because this company does not have the proper equipment to remove the well pump/galvanized pipe. Upon the new plumbing company showing up to replace the pump it was discovered that the tech from Plumb Perfect Plumbing made a failed attempt at pulling the well pump by hand and broke the pully off that is used to remove the well pump. The tech never mentioned anything to me that he had even touched the well much less did he tell me he broke the pully off. The broken pully was found laying on the ground in front of the well. I then contacted Plumb Perfect Plumbing to notify them what their tech had done and because of his negligence this was going to require a crane truck to remove the well pump, as well as an additional $1500-$2000. After speaking with Plumb Perfect Plumbing MULTIPLE times they advised that after speaking to the tech, he admitted he broke the pully and never told me or the company for that matter, until I contacted them. I explained I should not be responsible for the additional costs that were solely caused by their tech. They finally agreed to cover the additional costs for the crane truck. I had received an email from the owner of Plumb Perfect Plumbing asking me how my appointments went and if they were good please click on the yelp link below to leave a review, but ONLY leace a review if my service experience was good. However if my experience was less than perfect I was asked to email or call the owner Thomas James. Considering he reached out to me asking how things went i replied via email expressing my disappointment and frustration with the entire situation. What I received in return from the owner was shocking. He was so disrespectful and in my opinion out right unprofessional when he said you cannot let the pressure tank to keep going bad because you eventually blow the well pump up. I had absolutely NO way of knowing that my pressure tank was starting to "fail". I am not convinced my pressure tank even needed to be replaced at this point because the tech that diagnosed the pressure tank as the problem (the first tech I had) never even looked at my well to rule out other possible issues. He was here a total of 15 minutes, said it was the pressure tank and told me to call dispatch to schedule an appointment the following week if I wanted them to do the work. Buyer beware this company is hands down the most expensive out there and the owner of this company will insult your intelligence and condem you if you have a less than perfect experience. Hence, the reviews that are less than 4 stars he is quick to respond with an unprofessional and disrespectful tone. read more
