    Absolutely Outstanding Work - Best Pool Contractor I've Ever Used…read more I cannot recommend GP&A Pool Service highly enough. He completely exceeded every expectation I had when he worked on my pool. From the very first conversation, he was professional, responsive, and honest about what could be done and what it would take. He took the time to walk through my pool with me, explained the issues clearly, and gave me options instead of pushing the most expensive solution. That kind of integrity is rare. The work itself was excellent. He worked on the pool heater, the lights, the chlorinator . Everything was done with top-tier materials and meticulous attention to detail. He was clean, respectful, and worked efficiently without dragging the job out. What really stood out was how he explained everything, took him time, without gouging me for $$. If something needed tweaking, He treated my property like it was his own -- no mess left behind, no damage to the landscaping, and constant updates so I always knew what was happening. I've used several pool companies over the years in the area, and GP&A is hands-down the best. If you want quality work, fair pricing, and someone you can actually trust, look no further. I will be using him for all future pool maintenance and recommending him to everyone I know. Thank you -- you did a hell of a job! I look forward to working with him again.

Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

These inspections should be performed by an outside, independent source, as this company cuts a lot of corners, lacks quality workmanship, and uses subcontractors who are very questionable and often disrespectful, showing little to no regard for your property or investment.

Despite giving this company multiple opportunities to correct significant workmanship issues, we are left paying for a pool and spa that cannot be safely used. We are now being forced to pay out of pocket for independent pool inspections, a structural engineer, and concrete and deck remediation to address problems that should have been handled correctly from the beginning. When we attempted to resolve this matter by requesting to retain the remaining $10,000 from our loan so we could move forward and repair the issues ourselves, we were met with defensiveness, threats, and unprofessional behavior. To make matters worse, our plans to list our home for sale have been delayed because property records show no permitted pool at our residence, raising serious concerns about whether proper permits and inspections were obtained. The stress, financial burden, and disruption caused by an unfinished project have far outweighed any perceived savings. What was meant to be an exciting investment in our home has instead become an ongoing source of stress and unexpected expense. Our experience with JS Pool and Patio has been extremely disappointing, and we strongly encourage future customers to thoroughly verify permits, inspections, and workmanship before proceeding.
