I never write reviews but I hired them off of a friend reccomindation and I regret it. Stay away from them! I had them come cut trees in my backyard yard and trim some in the front( looks horrible) back in June/July it's now October. I still have these stumps in my backyard and a fence that needs repair. They came same day for a quote and offered to do it same day... did a shit job my pine tree has broken sagging branches. I paid them $950 cash(dumb) because they didnt accept check. they didnt give me a receipt and they never came back after paying them. They wont return my calls, text or fb messages and have the nerve to make me seem like im the nuisance. I now have to hunt them down to get a refund, so someone else can complete the job. Do yourself a favor and Hire ANYONE else it's not worth the headache. read more

NOT WORTH THE RISK. My car was damaged after this company left the parking lot. When calling them about it, the owner, Cleo, swore at me on the phone and hung up on me. Since then, he has accused me of trying to get "free vehicle repairs" because the before and after photographs I have show there was existing damage near that area. If you want to risk getting your property damaged and having to deal with a business owner who cant take responsibility for the actions of his crew and handle a consumer dispute with professionalism, honesty, respect, and tact, well, this is your company. My advice would be to go with a more established company that knows how to provide customer service and handle issues. read more

Received a quote from Cleo, called to get on his schedule and he came out within 2 days. Took down two huge half dead pines. Crew was super professional and cleaned up after themselves. No damage to our property and the trees were right next to the house and garage. Would highly recommend and we will also use them again. read more

Our trees in our back yard were wild and sloppy. Before Cleo and his partner cleaned everything up, people were literally walking into branches. The tree in the front yard was a real problem for our entry way. So glad we called Plus One, no one else could have done a better job. Today Plus One removed a huge boxelder tree, a huge maple and a white birch tree. The boxelder and maple trees were at least 65 feet, if not more, and close to our home and garage, but they removed them without any problem at all. Their pricing was more than fair compared to the others I called, they showed up on time, they were professional, friendly, everything was cleaned up and did such an amazing job! We agreed on a price and a day to get the work accomplished for tree trimming and a crew showed up to do the job without a hydraulic lift- despite having giant trees that needed to get trimmed. Being a reasonable individual, I agreed to a rescheduling on the weekend and they proceeded to "no show" and "no call." The facts are that they do not keep their word and must be hand to mouth- otherwise why would they go AWOL on a paying customer that was more than willing to pay to get work done? Let this serve as a warning to others that this company is apparently not legit. read more

I'd love to review the work Plus One Tree Service does, but that'd require a call back from them. They quoted me $2500 in June to remove a big oak. I had left work to meet Cleo at my house, but he never showed. If he showed, I have no idea how, because I was home and my dogs don't let a squirrel run in the yard without letting me know. I was clear that I was leaving work, but that is what it is. My a/c went out, so I had to replace that before I could afford to do the tree. I got cash back together and called them in October to see about scheduling the job. There were some negative reviews, but he was recommended by a tree guy that did ok work for me last year. I wanted to hire them, but they said Cleo had the equipment to do my tree. Anyhow, I left a message and Cleo called me back. He said he didn't remember and wanted to take another look at it. I was at work, and he said he'd be by there later in the day to take a look. I didn't bother missing more work this time, which is a good thing, because he didn't show, and if he did, he must have decided he didn't want the job. He never called me back, and I called and left him another message. Cleo and the woman who called me with the original quote in June both seemed very pleasant. I'd imagined they were Christians, because they told me to have a blessed day. I'll just leave that there, because it's not for me to say... Look, I hope nothing bad has happened to this guy. I hope he's healthy and happy. I can't rate the work they do, because their customer service is bad enough to not have allowed me to hire them. I get that price and delivery time can be directly relative to how hungry a contractor is. That's the service industry. But, you don't even have to do the job to build a reputation for good customer service. How do I know? I've spent over 30 years in the service industry, and much of it fixing equipment for independent contractors, like tree guys. Hi-Rangers, Bobcats, Altec, Bandit, etc. If you don't call them back, they act like you're taking food from their kids mouths. Well, Cleo literally cost me a half day of work. I really don't care about that, or that Cleo, for whatever reason, didn't want the job, but I've been around enough to know that if the contractor communicates poorly, you will regret hiring them. The sad part about this is the hit to the reputation of the guy that recommended Plus One, because now I don't trust them either. A good contractor will compete for your business. These guys won't. read more
