I like coming here. There's never a wait when I go, they have plenty of chairs, the nail techs are friendly, and it's clean. The prices are reasonable. You can get basic nail services or more expensive services with special scrubs and longer massages. I mostly come here for pedicures, but I once got a mani pedi and I wasn't disappointed. They do a great job on cuticles and I've never felt like they rush! I've been here 3 times now and I'm pretty cheap when it comes to things I can do myself (meaning I'd rather do my nails myself for free), so the fact that I've been here more than once in the past year means it's worth it. This is my first review written on Yelp. After choosing this place as it is close to my home & open early on a Sunday I decided to call and come in. I came in right at opening as I called beforehand to confirm they weren't busy. Pedicure was okay, nothing special for 35 dollars. But my hands, I asked to get a fill. Now I told the girl I had an injured pinky nail that is recovering, she ended up pulling that exact nail. OUCH!!! Shaping, I told her 3 times to make them pointy, she didn't know what that meant. She kept trying to make me get gel on my fake nails after I told her I didn't want to. But it would of been easier for her because se wouldn't have to wait for the color I was doing my toes. They offered me soda, water, coffee and even wine which is a super nice plus. I have been to Plush a couple of times with decent experiences. The first time I went for a mani/pedi, and fell for the upsell. I usually don't, but was on my way somewhere. I was pleased with the friendly service, and they sped things up because they knew I was in a hurry. The decor is nice, and the salon is clean. The manager will remember your face and is very sweet. One of my nails chipped the next day, and they fixed it without any questions. The nail techs are friendly, and they have a decent selection of non-gel colors as well as gel. DO NOT COME HERE! I have been getting nails done by STEPHEN (manager for the past two years. Today i went in to have him fix my nails (another nail tech at the salon had done them horribly). I was there for an hour and the whole time he was working on other people's nails during MY appointment because apparently the other techs told him i was coming another day (i called ahead of time 3 times) ! When i walked out one of my nails chipped pretty bad, i returned and he said my appointment time was over and he was too busy to fix them. He then proceeded to argue and yell at me when i told him that i made the appointment for him to fix chipped nails so why would I leave with one still chipped? he told me to stop talking and apologize or he wouldn't fix my nail. The whole time his customer after me was saying nasty rude things to me. I USED TO LOVE THIS PLACE. Now, i will never bring my business back to this salon because of how horrified i was to be stuck in that awkward and uncomfortable situation. UPDATE: I switched nail salons today and i couldn't be happier! my nails look way better than they have in the past three years that i've seen stephen. I moved to Dallas 6 months ago and go there every two weeks for a gel mani & pedi. I love them, they are fast and efficient! I saw some other reviewers complain that not everyone speaks English and it is true but it does not hinder their work. I have never had a problem making a request or explaining something. They will do whatever to make you happy all you have to do is ask! I'm getting married in a couple of weeks and shared this with them a while back. I was on a business trip and decided to get my nails done. I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and proximity to the Galleria. I walked in. They were really welcoming and I was seated right away in a pedi chair. When I also asked for a manicure, they started pushing really hard Nextgen mani. I've never had it done before and liked it didn't require UV lights. So I went for it but thought they were really pushy. I saw them pushing it on another person too. They do mani and pedi at the same time. I didn't feel relaxed b/c having to turn towards the woman doing my nails while my feet were getting worked on. The thing that really bothered me about this place was that it was cluttered messy. Towels thrown over chairs everywhere, few on the floor, boxes thrown around the wall, too many chairs in the room, etc etc etc. They do offer you a drink. People were nice. read more

This place is great! Every nail tech I've had works extremely hard to fulfill any request I've ever had. I brought a picture in if a specific color I wanted, and even though they didn't have it, they combined some colors to match the picture perfectly. They even cut my cuticles during my NEXGEN mani without charging me extra like most salons. Pedicures start at $25, but the first upgrade to $35 gets you a hot towel, stone massage, callous removal, and longer massage. $10 for all of that! I'm always greeted as soon as I walk in and have never had to wait. The manager, Steven, has even done my nails! I mean come on... a manager who actually WORKS! Yes!! They always talk to me and seem genuinely interested in my life which is great customer service, in my opinion. Wow this place was great!!! I have gone to the same nail salon for about 7 years now and have been scared to go anywhere else. My nail salon though recently has not been very pleasing with their work so I decided to try this place. They did a great job at what I wanted! I got the solar powder and then rhinestones on my ring fingers which they had to put on individually. I figured they would say no that's to hard etc. but they went at it and I was very pleased!! Their prices were very reasonable!! I paid $58 for my nails and then an eyebrow wax! Wow! What a steal!! My other salon would have charged me probably $70! I would recommend this place to anybody! I visited here at least three times before, but the most recent visit was truly disappointing. I wasn't offered a beverage like other customers, and was told "help me out man" when I didn't want to soak my hands in boiling hot water with acetone (I don't mind soaking my hands to get the dip powder off, I do it all the time but this water was BOILING). I hoped the experience would get better, but unfortunately it didn't. As I was getting a pedicure, the lady who was doing my pedicure spent my massage time filing down her own nails (yes, the timer that counts down the allocated time for the massage was still going and she stopped promptly when the time was up on the timer) and she even broke away from me to give a shoulder massage to another customer (I am assuming a frequent customer, or someone she knows). The cherry on top was how I was approached to pay, I was asked "How much tip are you leaving" prior to even being told the price of my services. I always tip because pedicures and manicures (especially dip powder manicures) are hard work, so I was still going to tip and I DID even though I REALLY did not enjoy my services at all. Shortly after leaving the salon, the gel polish used for my manicure started to come off and I didn't even want to waste my time going up there to try to fix it. Nonetheless, I will not be returning and I will take my business elsewhere, or learn how to do my own nails (seems like this is the best option considering I've had bad experiences at many nail salons and I'm sure it has a lot to do with my physical attributes unfortunately). read more

They have very limited color selections, no design options, besides rhinestones. They attempted to rush me into making a decision amongst their limited and outdated offerings. My short 15 minute experience with them was so awful that I paid the lady who removed my toenail polish the full $10 just so I could leave WITHOUT any polish at all. I love Plush. I have been going for about 3 years now. At first I was definitely reluctant about going due to reviews from Yelp. But I gave it a shot and I am honestly happy I did. I tend to go after 5pm on the weekdays or early in the morning on the weekends. This nail salon is more upscale than others surrounding it, they offer complimentary drinks(wine, water, etc.). First of all I had to wait 20 minutes just to get someone to start on my nails. I picked out a color and as the lady was putting it on, she realized it's the wrong color. Idk if it was labeled wrong or what. Everyone gathered around me to see and they all realized it was the WRONG COLOR. They did a pretty good job on gel mani and pedicures. My only complaint is they were very busy, it took and it took them a while to get to me. Once they did, everything seemed very rushed and expedited. While in the middle of my pedicure, wet feet and all, they asked that I move (I'm 8 months pregnant) to another chair so that they could accommodate another customer. I came in on 12/31 with my girlfriend because she wanted to get her nails done before an important appointment... she got a mani/pedi, and I got a pedicure just to enjoy some time with her. We came in around 12:30pm, and were told it would take about 45 minutes for a mani/pedi. We made it clear we would have to leave in no later than 45 minutes; they assured us we would be done by then. Our appointment was at 1:30pm, so we said that should be fine. It ended up taking about an hour even though we kept telling them we had to leave, but her nails weren't done so we couldn't. We ended up being late for our appointment. The lady doing her mani kept hurting her. I realize it kind of hurts sometimes but... she was literally sitting there clinching her teeth for the duration of the manicure. The manicure was bad, they are bumpy and not flat... but the pedi was even worse, not only is it also uneven and not smooth, but they missed lots of spots on her nails. Her toes were a little smeared because she had to put shoes on because the pedi took longer than we were told... but aside from the smears... half of her toes didn't even had full coverage with nail polish around the cuticle! Even one of the ladies when they took the UV-looking light (not sure what its called) off of her nails looked and shook her head no and said "this is not good"... she asked if she wanted her to redo them, but we were already late to our appointment trying to leave, or I would have disputed the charge at the time. While I was sitting there getting a pedi with her, I was asked if I wanted my feet scrubbed, and I said no, thank you. About 15 min later she started doing it anyway, which, because I'm a guy and this was my first time doing anything like this, I had no idea they charged extra for, so I just let her do it. I was irritated to find out that she was charging me extra. I'm very disappointed in the treatment she got the other day, for having such good reviews on yelp and google... I thought I would attempt to write an email to the shop before I left this review, hoping they'd reimburse her for AT LEAST the horrible pedicure, and my foot scrub which I did not want nor ask for.
