I called to get an appointment for my nails. They quoted me one price over the phone. When I got there and explained what I wanted the lady quoted me a different price which is understandable since it's hard to give a quote without seeing in person. When I sat down with the tech she quoted me $20 over what the lady said at the front. Definitely beware. It's shady when they are throwing out different numbers. I went in with my best friend for a mani and pedi. The place was super spacious and there were lots of color options. It turned out great! The bad and the ugly: Not going to drop other names but my manicure was awful, the color was completely uneven and was not covering my nails properly from the cuticle area and sides. My friend's pedicure was a horrible experience - they cut her skin and she bled from two different places. Her manicure was similar to mine. I wouldn't recommend going to this place. read more

I haven't been to this spot in over a year. Decided to give it a try and I was just as disappointed as I was a year ago. Unbelievable, you can still see remnants of the polish I had on before I got my nails done. The polish is severely spotted, it's such a terrible job that I wouldn't even let them fix. Of course, they barely want to discount you and they are looking at the horrible job. Instead, they want you to sit there another 2 hours and let them start all over with someone else. How could I not give these people 5 stars? Anyone who touches my feet deserves nothing less. Post summer, my feet are calloused and nails are long, uneven, with chipped nail polish. It's a pleasure to sit down and be pampered. I went for the bare minimum manicure ($28), but opted for the lavender pedicure treatment (~67). It included paraffin, hot stones, massage, and some serious moisturizing. The one suggestion I have is that they either do the manicure and pedicure separately or time them so that the massage part takes place at the same time. It's hard to relax and enjoy the hand massage when the other technician is grinding away at the callouses on the bottom of my feet. It is convenient that they have teo technicians to work with you at the same time. It makes it faster to get in and out so that you can go about your business. Convenient location in a strip mall in Addison, so I can definitely see myself returning. Not sure I will go for the extra neck/head massage that was part of the lavender package. While it was soothing, it was awkward trying to hold a position in the air to get this massage. It's better to go to an actual massage parlor where they have a proper massage table. They do offer a lot of colors. Despite this, I opted for clear nail polish on both my fingers and my toes. This way I don't have to worry about chipping or removing the color when it starts to fade. At first, I was going to write a decent review of this place since it was a super generic experience, but then they tried to charged me for a full set when I only received a fill, and everything went downhill from there. They definitely don't go above and beyond by any means. You're treated like a number. The girl that did my pedicure spent her time texting and having a speakerphone conversation. Also, I paid for a 10 minute massage, and she only did 7 minutes. Sorry, but I want every minute I am paying for. The guy who did my nails was just as basic. The usual nail place I go to is nice enough to give you a little hand massage when they put the finishing oil on you. This guy just poured the oil on and left it wet. He came by later with a towel to rub it off, nothing more. My nails looks fine. Nothing to really complain about and nothing to write home about. When I went to checkout, I was charged $60 for a full set when I only had a fill. They told me they had to drill my previous acrylic nails down "thin," so that's the same thing as a new set...WHAT? Also, the guy asked me initially if I wanted a new set, and I told him I don't have time to soak them off, I just wanted a fill. The front desk girl was SO rude! I explained that all he had to do was communicate to me that he was going to charge me for a full set price and let me decide if I wanted to go through with it or not. Instead, he just charged me what he wanted to! I also told the front desk girl that I only received 7 minutes of the 10 minute massage. She ignored that part and actually started arguing with me that "trimming your nails thin is the same thing as a new set." Umm, how the F are your customer's supposed to know that? She didn't apologize at all when I told her I would not come back because of the poor experience. She didn't say thank you or anything. She rolled her eyes when I was talking. Come on. I've been here twice. The first time was alright, so I decided to return for a dip soak off and reapplication. That time, the dip powder was applied so thick and the first two layers weren't even the color I chose - it was a nude base layer. Then two layers of my color were put over it. When I asked for it to be thinned down since it was so thick on my nail, the file exposed some of the base layer, making the color application uneven. My nails are still thick even after that. The shape of the nail too wasn't well done either. The application is thicker on the edges by my nail bed and also hangs over onto my cuticle on some fingers which is making it peel up early even though i've only had my nails a week. The equipment the tech used to trim my nails and cuticles also weren't removed from a sterilizing bag, and instead came out of a supply box with other equipment that did not look clean/ sterile. I'll be finding a new place to get my nails done from now on. read more

Do not go to this place and expect basic quality service. My tech had not even gone to cosmetology or esthetics school and is not licensed. A French tip ( no matter if it's finger or toe nails, no matter gel or regular) is done with a pink/ light nude base. Minimum two coats and then a white like to preference. Not a thick half nail of white polish and then thinned out then clear put on top. It should not take people explaining this multiple times with pictures for the point to get across. Please train your techs or do the legally responsible thing and send techs to get their actual licensing and state board training. Also, the specialty pedicures ( that I'm used to) means that whatever the soak is , is put into the pedicure bowl. Not just squeezed onto the leg for a few seconds to a minute. The complimentary drinks were nice and I appreciate that someone came to refresh the cups. Would literally never be back though. read more

So I have a special place in my heary for the Dallas Nail Bar & Spa. Bao is my go to for pedicures - he is very talented. I get only gel pedicures with him. If you want conversation - hes the guy! If you want to relax - he's great at letting you listen to your music and be on your phone as well. He makes the experience worth it to me.
