Had been here plenty of times pre-covid and always had good experiences. Not so much today. Website had an option in the early morning to book a visit at 1:15 today (they opened at noon). Knowing how busy Sundays are, and brining a 1 year old for a potential ear-infection, I decided to take the 1:15 in order to avoid an extended wait. We arrived a 1 and checked in, via a text I had received, from the car. Was then sent a text directing me to the app to check my place in line. App had to lists of those checked in, one for "booked visits" and another for "walk-ins". There were about 9 names on the "walk-ins", but only one ahead of us as booked (listed as 1PM). After about 30 mins (1:30PM), and noticing that the walk-ins line had moved, but the booked 1pm was still listed, I headed in for the receptionist. She informed me that "booking" was only completing the paperwork early, and had no bearing on wait time. I showed her the app that clearly had 2 separate categories, but she said her screen only had one list, and she was taking people in order of arrival. I further explained it didn't make sense to have booking times available for pre-registration if it was just paperwork. So not only did I have to wait the same amount of time as a walk-in, I spent time registering at home when I could have done it waiting around at PM! This could have been that the receptionist didn't know what she was doing. If that is not the case, the app should be updated. It is extremely misleading. We were not seen until after 2pm. Giving 2 stars only because the PA we saw was great. read more

I came here with my 3 month old daughter because she had a rash. I didn't want to go all the way to the pediatrician so I decided to give this place a try. The decor of this place is so cute. It is a wild west theme and the decor is so welcoming. They had tvs in the room while you wait. We checked in with an iPad and the front desk agent was very nice. The medical assistant Amanda was very nice and caring with my little one. She made her feel comfortable and took her vitals. The doctor was nice even though we had to wait a little for her to come in. She knew what the rash was right away and assisted us accordingly. I highly recommend this urgent care for your little ones and young adults. Believe it or not, I can still be a patient here because they see up to age 26. How funny! Im 24 and a new mom. I have always bring my kids to this PM pediatrics when they get sick and now the online appointment is a joke. I book an appointment for a 8pm check in at 7:37pm and now is 9:27 still waiting. If you accept walk in why bother with the online appointment. Just first come first serve. The waiting time is ridiculously after 1:30 mins wait and we still have another 7:45pm appointment front of us. First impression of visiting this location was terrible. The person at the front desk must have been having a bad day because she was VERY unfriendly. I started to tell her the reason for the visit (my 7 year old is sick) and not even 1 sentence in and she's stopping me to tell me "you can't do that mom!" In regards to me checking in online. She was so very rude to me in front of my son. And upon letting her know that I was uncomfortable being seen there because of how we were being treated, I was cut off and told that she was cancelling the appointment. I feel it is extremely negligent and unprofessional and morally wrong to turn away my son because I had an opinion about how she was speaking to me. While I have had positive experiences with nearly all of the physicians, I have had issues now regarding the care with one specific physician who has treated my child at two of their locations. My child has seen this physician twice over a period of years, each time, for what has been a clear, acute bacterial infection. Despite my requesting that first time that my child please be put on Augmentin, a medication that has beta lactamase coverage, as many strains that were previously suspceptible to Amoxicillin are no longer, I was told "No" by that physician and recited the AAP guidelines that were memorized in medical school and my child was sent home with an Amoxicillin prescription. The second time, my child was prescribed a once daily cephalosporin at a dosage that seemed low basedon my child's total body weight and for a very acute, long-standing infection. Each of those two times, neither infection was susceptible to the antibiotic therapy prescribed by that physician, causing my child to wind up on Augmentin or anoher cephalosporin. Each of the two times, my child wound up with a terrible case of horrific diarrhea that lasted for days and cultured positive for C.Difficile, requiring two-week treatment with yet another antibiotic each of the two times. I am wriing the review to caution parents that most of the clinicians are excellent, but they must be very careful who is on call should they bring their child for care. I sincerely hope that management reaches out so that I can share specifics regarding my child's care so that they can address this going forward for other potential patients. read more

I was so impressed with every single staff member at this facility. They were caring, kind and patient. My 3 year old daughter is usually very nervous at the doctors office but she let the staff check her out without incident. We had to wait for her to give a urine sample, of course she refused. After many attempts with the staff members trying their best, I was defeated and we went home. I was also extremely stressed and they were so compassionate to me. They sent me with sample collection kits and said I can bring it back for testing. Of course the minute we got home, my daughter went to the bathroom. My husband rushed back to drop it off, and even though they were about to close for inclement weather, they let him in and tested it. My kid's pediatrician is usually very good at getting them in but if it's needed, I will always come back here. read more

Took my son to the PM pediatrics in Manhasset for a head Injury, where he needed a staple and doctor informed us that he's okay to play in recess and physical education and to come back in a week to remove a staple. Monday i called the same location looking for a note based on what the doctor said that he's permitted to participate in recess because the school nurse didn't allow him to play. I spoke with a doctor and she informed me absolutely no sports, which is fine just needed a doctors note, fast forward to 7 days later, we return to remove the staple and the doctor there said to us they are not allowed to remove before 10 days. so three different doctors with 3 different opinions. Currently we are waiting in the PM pediatrics in carle place, we walked in at 5:15, no appt, waiting over an hour, they are taking everyone who had appt btwn 5:30-6pm even though I walked in way before the other patients appts. PM pediatrics should no longer advertise as walk ins. Worse experience, long waits and apparently doctors all have different opinions over one staple. read more

This review is based on my first experience to an Urgent Care Facility. My daughter has been suffering from these frequent ear infection since she started daycare, so the moment I picked her up from school and got in she had a fever and was displaying all the signs of an ear infection. I knew it was an ear infection and something needed to be done otherwise it would be a sleepless night for the both of us. I called her pediatrician to see if we could be seen right away, but unfortunately the office was closed, so that's when I remember seeing PM Pediatrics whenever I would visit Vincent's or Toy r Us. So I put her in the car and we left. As soon as we open the first door the smell of the place was amazing. It didn't smell like sick kids or dirt. It just smelled very clean, not only smelling very clean once we open the second set of doors it was such a beautiful atmosphere and very clean and we was greeted by the front desk receptionist Darlene Usher. She said in a soft voice sign here and have a seat. Less then 10 minutes she was calling us to register and that process only took about 4 mins maybe less. As soon as we was finish with the registration. We walked back to the waiting area and before we could even sit they called her in. We was greeted by friendly medical assistant ( I think) took us to the exam room took my toddler vitals and told us that someone will be with us in a few. Less then 2 min nurse practitioner Meirav came in and introduce herself. She had great bedside manners and soft spoken, she just didn't start the exam. She explained everything that she was going to do to my toddler and even had fun doing it. My daughter felt more comfortable with Meirav then her own pediatrician. At the end of the visit it was confirmed that it was another ear infection and what needed to be done about have so many. She explained everything to me and gave me advice on another question I had that was totally unrelated to the ear infection. She answered more question and provided me with so much information in 30 minutes then my daughters pediatrician had since she has been born. When I got home I even looked up Mierav to see if she was affiliated with another practice that was close by, because if she was, she would of been my daughters new pediatrician. I'm not big on Hospital or Clinics, I rather just wait for her to see her dr but I'm so thankful and grateful that I visited this place and if we happen to have another emergency in the PM hours this is the place I will be. read more

I had the pleasure to be seen by Dr. Ahmed Elbedewy who treated my daughter with care, empathy, compassion, and kindness. He understood my feelings and worries as a parent; he made me feel comfortable, confident, and trustworthy. I knew then that my daughter was in good hands. Came here last night for my son and we were impressed by the place. We've been going to the bayside office which we loved for many years and decided to come here since we live closer to this location. They were just as good. The theme at this office was the wild wild west. We didn't have to wait long to see a doctor. My son fractured his arm so we needed to get an xray done and they had a technician to do it. She was great! Really tried to position my son's arm in a way that it didn't hurt him as much and they even gave him a blue popsicle at the end. We got the results right away. Would come back again! I had called hours before visiting asking if I would be able to come in with my son. We're both not feeling well and my pediatrician recommended this location. When I got there though, I was told that they could only see my son and since I was symptomatic I would have leave. As I'm speaking to the receptionist and explaining that I had called before coming, she answers the phone. Literally as I'm in the middle of a sentence. She just picked up the phone like I wasn't even there. When I asked her how she could be so rude she said, well I have to answer the phone. I ended up leaving and will never return. We have a 14 month old little boy - and we have an excellent rapport with our current pediatrician... however, there are times when we simply cannot make it to the doctor's office - or it is after hours... and, as first time parents - we worry about every little thing, and need our minds put at ease. Twice, in the past few months, we have found it necessary to seek out some "after hours" care for our son - once for a raging case of pink eye, coupled with an allergic reaction to a bug bite - which had our little man looking like Rocky Balboa... and another time at the onset of coxsackie - something which was running throughout his day care. Both times - we went to the Carle Place PM Pediatrics - and both times we were amazed at the attention and care that our little boy received. Many folks take the time to complain when things are bad - but rarely take the time to compliment when things are great. The staff at PM Pediatrics in Carle Place is top notch - every one of the folks who we interacted with - from the reception area clerk to the nurse to the PA/doc who met with us... they were kind and considerate - they did speak in lingo which we would not understand and they certainly did not talk down to us... they understood that we were a bit frazzled and most certainly worried. Then there was Raphael. Raphael Rodriguez is the gentleman whom we first got to see (both visits) after coming in "the back" after being called by reception. He takes the vitals and checks the oxygen levels of the patient's blood. remember - we are talking about a 14 month old little boy who doesn't feel well and certainly cannot tell you what is wrong... ...Raphael is amazing. That is an understatement. he is kind. He is considerate. He has a bedside manner with children which cannot be taught. He distracts them while he collects his data. He talks calmly to both the child and the parents. Simply put: He makes things better. So - thank you PM Pediatrics. For all that you do - and even for the visits we have yet to make! Even though I am technically not a "pediatric" anymore(I'm 21), I still go to PM Pediatrics. This is the only PM Pediatrics I have ever been to. My experiences have been pretty positive expect for a few instances. One of the female doctors is very dogmatic. You can only take a certain antibiotic even if you say you have had a positive reaction with another. I had a sinus infection and wanted to take Cefdinir like I have basically my whole life and the doctor insisted that I take Clindamycin saying that it "was the only medication" for the illness. When I returned a few days later with severe ear pain, I saw a different doctor and she said that I didn't have to be on the Clindamycin and wrote a prescription for Cefdinir. Another instance I had is I was very sick when I came in(hence why I was there), I had come 3 times in 1 week and the first time my mom(she's on my HIPAA) was able to sign in for me. The next two times, despite barely being able to stand(and having a blanket on in July), I had to sign paperwork, that to be honest, I was so sick that I didn't even understand what I was signing, but they said I had to because I was over 18. I don't understand if my mom is on my HIPAA why she couldn't sign these papers for me. Despite these things I will continue going until I age out(26). read more

The Rn Karen, was not gentle considering you are dealing with CHILDREN, who are obviously not well....and shoWn very little emotions or care after making my child gag n vomited!!! Literally shoved the medicine down my kid's throat!!! Pa kept her composure throughout the entire visit, but aced wrapped my child's foot way too tight which cause foot swelling sigh! overall I would never take any of my kids to this place, overall incompetent and NO EMERGENCY PHYSICIAn on site....so your sick child will possibly be seen by someone who's not even competent or fully knowledgeable !! read more

I took my daughter here on a Saturday night due to conjunctivitis. I had already started putting ophthalmic antibiotics in her eyes but it appeared that her condition was worsening. We made an "appointment " online. Arrived prior to the appointment time. Waited 40 minutes past the appointment time to be seen (things happen in medicine - I get it). When we got back into the room wait time was reasonable. However, physician didn't even pull my daughters eyelids down to look in her eyes. Didn't do any type of real exam AND when I told him which eyedrops I was using, he suggested that I was putting Ear drops in my kid's eyes. I told him that I knew the difference between ophthalmic and otic. He sent an Rx for ointment to the pharmacy (ointment is really annoying for a child at my daughters age). I definitely didn't trust the medical provider in this case. It was pretty offensive to have someone suggest that you are administering a drug via the wrong route to your child (especially when the drug is offered in many forms). read more

I have been coming to pm since my little one was born almost 7 years ago but i have to say this new pre registration from home being taken first as opposed to walk ins who will have to wait is crazy. This is suppose to be a walk in location. All appointments should be on a first come first serve basis not someone who walks right in and is taken right away. My daughter is sitting here with ear pain and 3 people already went in before me after just walking in. Came here numerous times because of their late hours and convenience of location. There is never a wait during the evenings when I went with my kids for their illnesses. Very courteous staff that always gave helpful tips. After two days there is always a follow-up call to see how the patient is doing and answer any questions you may have. If only we can get the PCP pediatrician to do this. read more

Walked in around 8:45pm and place was pretty packed...tis the season! Wait time was pretty bad...we waited over an hour to finally be seen but you can tell they are working efficiently. Reggie was so good with my son and what he does. He had to take samples for a strep test and for the flu and he did a wonderful job distracting my son while being quick to swab for the sample. Katie, the PA on call, was also very friendly and knowledgeable. She did seem a bit hurried to leave, but that was probably because of the amount of people waiting. My wife and I took our son there today. The place is super clean and a very friendly atmosphere. They had nick jr playing in the lobby and by son and daughter felt right at home. The nurse and doctor were very caring, asked a lot of questions and answered all of our questions. The nice last at the receptionist area even offered me and my daughter snacks and drinks while we waited for my son and wife. I highly recommend going there if the need arises. read more

This is the fastest urgent care I've ever visited! Not only that, the receptionist was friendly and the doctor was thorough. The murals on the wall and overall 'Wild Wild West' feel are also quite cute and appealing. In addition, they're open until midnight and take patients up to the age of 26; thank goodness for me! Went here last night with a very unhappy little guy, I was extremely pleased with the special attention all the staff showed for my son. The office was very clean and had a different motif for every room. We were in the toy story room which was very adorable. They took the extra steps to call in a prescription for us in addition to giving him the first dose there. Nothing worse then finding out your son has a double ear infection and pink eye. Hopefully we won't have a sick little one on are hands again at 8:30 PM but if we do forget the emergency room they are open to midnight! read more

He keeps asking to go back to the "new doctor" because he liked it better than his regular pediatrician :) I would definitely use them again.
