Do not expect a similar scenario at Massapequa Imaging; my wife's doctor suspects pneumonia, and ordered an X-ray. My wife had it done at Massapequa imaging Tuesday, mid-day. Thursday afternoon she called to find out where the results were, and was told no one had read them yet. My wife, while still coughing, managed to ask when her doctor could expect the results. Massapequa Imaging said they wound 'red flag' it. Which meant yet another 24 hours. That conversation took place 24 hours ago; still no results. We tried calling three times, but no one had the decency to answer. Our doctor called, but her call was not taken either. Massapequa Imaging dies not do their job; irresponsible and unprofessional are words that apply. Making an elderly woman with pneumonia symptoms just wait and cough. Massapequa Imaging responds to all of their bad reviews the same way: 'Sorry!' Saying sorry does not help one bit. It is not a professional response. Instead of sorry, how about just doing your job? It's just shameful.

I had been having some eczema on my finger on and off for awhile and didn't realize how long it was…read moreuntil it got really bad during this last flare up. Upon searching my symptoms, it sounded like I had something called dyshidrotic eczema. It was bad enough for me that I felt I needed to see a dermatologist ASAP (skin splitting/cracking/not healing). I made an appointment fairly easily and was scheduled with a nurse for a 5pm appointment on a Friday. I received a text message the day before to confirm the appointment date and time with the location of the office. I arrived with my husband a little earlier than the 15 minutes to check-in and signed a couple of e-documents with Shania. The wait wasn't long and I was taken into an exam room and asked the preliminary questions by Diora (hope I spelled that correctly!). She was great and very sweet. Then my nurse, Veronica, came in and just blew me away with how comfortable she made me feel. So it turns out I was correct in my diagnosis and it can be something that happens after pregnancy and it's a recurring condition... *cries* I additionally asked about some other concerns and was given reassuring information. I had never been to a dermatologist before - had a fear of being judged, but they both were absolutely wonderful and made me feel heard and understood. I also was lucky enough to get some samples to bring home so I could hopefully find one that works for me. The other great thing was that even though I had several questions, they were all answered and it was a quick visit. I would happily come back here with any additional concerns and recommend this place if you can get this pair :) Thank you so much!

She…read moretreated it several times with cautery but after it became red and irritated, I went to another dermatologist (from the same practice, just a different location) who confirmed it was actually a mole -- something that should never have been treated that way. And because it was treated that way, it could now be permanently red and inflamed. But what made this whole situation worse was Christie'smedical assistant, who was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and gaslighting. When I called the office, (first of all It's impossible to get through to the office. You have to get through a call center and wait on hold for 30 minutes and then eventually you get a representative who says the office will call you back) Christie's assistant just insulted my face saying it had too many problems, acted like I was stupid for questioning them, and tried to convince me they didn't "cauterize the mole," even though I watched and felt it happen. Like then did it zap itself then? I actually ended up crying after that call -- when you already feel self-conscious about your skin, having someone in a medical office insult you and talk down to you like that is humiliating. It was one of the most unprofessional and hurtful experiences I've ever had in a medical setting. I would never recommend this office to anyone who values respect, honesty, or proper care. Or anyone who cares about their skin. Christie's assistant is truly rude, I don't know why she has a job in healthcare. You come to a doctor to get problems fixed, and yet her assistant will just take your insecurity and insult you with it.

The WORST experience. The unprofessional front end staff was the start. They do a lot of socializing in front of patients, eating chips at the front desk, loud and just not a professional office setting. Then one of the staff members comes out to call the patient in he is texting on his phone. Then a staff member calls me in to do the initial screening, I asked him if he had my records because I have a certain lens in my eye. He told me he doesn't think they still have my records, but he said I've only been here five months so he is not sure. Well, that doesn't make me feel great that the person who did most of my testing has only been there five months. Meanwhile, still joking around with other staff members. It was unfortunate that with my insurance which is widely usedI was told only one doctor accepted. I didn't feel like he spent any amount of time examining my eyes. He just reiterated what I told him already that I have dry eyes. Within not even 10 minutes of leaving the office I get an email that I have another appointment scheduled for a week from then. I called back, but the woman told me that office already closed which I find hard to believe because the office was packed when I left. So I'm not sure if I was reaching a switchboard somewhere else. With numerous numerous texts, reminding me of this appointment that I did not make, nor did I need I was unable to cancel this appointment, even though I had canceled many times when receiving the texts. I continued to get phone messages I tried calling the office three times on Monday morning where the woman told me just ignore it. It was canceled again to be followed up by another phone call, reminding me I had an appointment. How can I trust this office with my eyes if I can't even trust the office with basic reception duties. It's sad because Stahl Eye Center was a team that I felt confident with my eye care needs.
