That night I researched on the internet and thought I'd found a bargain, but by the time I added everything I needed and wanted, it added up to more than the price at Bachle's and I would have to install them. In the end I chose the Cross Timbers set for their super realistic look. They were installed a few days later and look and function even better than I hoped. Their price is all-inclusive, no surprise add-ons. The only "extra" I chose was those really cool "bright" embers.

The staff was so nice and so helpful. They quoted me a price on a specific set of logs, and then when those turned out to not be in stock, they extended that price to me. They didn't have to do that, and I wouldn't have even thought to ask, but they offered to honor the other price, even though it was several hundred dollars difference. Our logs have completely changed our enjoyment and use of our fireplace. Before, it was truly just wasteful to run our fireplace, as all it did was create ambience. Now, you can feel the heat coming from these logs within moments of lighting them. The whole room gets warm immediately, and it has just made all the difference in our living room. I will soon replace the logs for the other fireplace as well, and wouldn't dream of using anyone but Rick's.

I replied, "I'm not looking for technical support; just some assistance with a search." As requested by the lady (??), I provided the model# and was put on hold. Another lady (??) came back on the line and began berating me and told me I was being rude to the other lady (??). Neither of them were helpful in any way; they, obviously, couldn't be bothered to help anyone who wasn't an existing customer. The response from the "President" is fraught with LIES!! Our office assistant asked if it was something you purchased from Fireside Concepts so we could look up your account and locate the model and manufacturer of the unit. You advised her that you did not purchase it from us and stated that we should (NOT WHAT I SAID) be able to help you because we are a fireplace company. She stated that we don't typically provide any (TECHNICAL) support for fireplaces we didn't install. We do this for several reasons, including liability and the fact that we are a for profit company. She said she'd see what she could find out and transferred the call to me (the President). I answered the line and asked what I could do to help you. After three (I was only asked ONCE and told them I had already given the model# to the other person) attempts to get your model number to assist, I felt it best to end the call. At every turn you did not want to provide me with the information to help you but instead, you wanted to tell me about how you felt we were not taking care of you. Every request (ONLY ONE REQUEST WAS MADE) was met with a disgruntled comment (LIE, LIE, LIE) and wasn't productive. I stated that it was best that you look elsewhere for the information and hung up the phone.
