Let me start by saying that this is not a branch specific review but a review of TD Bank and its…read morepolicies. 1st - My daughter needed a "bank check" and since I have been banking with TD for, I can't even remember how long, I brought her to the bank to get one. We were not able to get a bank check with both our names on it through my account because her account was with a different bank. The funds were coming out of my account, we just needed her name on the bank check as well as mine. Could not be done. They would not do it because we would both have to have a TD Bank account, even though it was my money behind the check. 2nd - On our way home to a telehealth appointment that my wife couldn't be late for, we decided we had just enough time to stop and make a quick cash deposit into our checking account. There was only one car in front of us at the drive-thru and they pulled out within a minute of us pulling behind them in line. A SIMPLE CASH DEPOSIT is no longer a thing, apparently! 12 minutes later we finally had our deposit receipt and could be on our way. It seems that in order to deposit cash into your own checking account on a deposit slip from your own book of checks you must first jump through a couple of hoops. Upon taking your deposit slip they must first text you on the phone number they have on file for the account. You must respond by clicking on the link provided and then proceed to enter the pin number for your debit card. Our delay I'm sure was because the teller was busy doing things in between these additional steps we were forced to do. This would all be quick enough but is this really necessary to deposit cash into your own account. It is claimed to be for security purposes but I cannot think of a reason someone would deposit money into my account that I would want to stop them. We managed to barely make it home in time for my wife's appointment but certainly didn't need the additional stress of sitting at the bank for 12 minutes to perform a task that should have taken no more than 3 minutes. I believe that I will be looking for a new bank, preferably one without extraneous rules put in place to make you feel like they actually care.

I paid my 92$ HOA with a Western Union money order. They deposited all money orders to tmhis bank…read more This bank rejected a good clean legitimate money order from walmart. They refuse to return the original money order so that it can resigned or replaced. HOA wants another whole 92$ and 20$ fee for something either they did or TD Bank did. Meanwhile they refuse to present the original money order so it can be replaced. I suspect someone cashed it and cant show it because they cashed it. I have put a tracer on it. I will see them in court soon for the theft of my money order. Dont put your money here. They steal and say it wasnt received and dont return rejected items.

I closed my checking and savings accounts sometime ago and opted for PNC where I always get answers to my questions and am remembered in the two branches I frequent. Today, I ended the affair with TD by closing out my safe deposit box. First, I waited close to 30 minutes to be seen by someone. Then it took another 45 minutes. There was a minor dispute over a second key and I was charged $25 for turning in only one key. When asked if I would be reimbursed if I turned in the second key they allegedly gave me when I opened the box, the girl waiting on me who was probably not old enough to drink, replied she didn't know and it would be up to management and I'd have to deal with it IF I ever returned the second key. Prior to closing my accounts, I waited upward of 10 days for payroll checks to clear into my account. Service was always snotty at best. That place blows. Way to go with killing the Commerce reputation and fond memories I have of quick service and friendly staff.

Their on-line service malfunctioned. If you tried to call for service you either sat on hold for over twenty minutes or requested a call back that did not happen. I also went to the local branch to get a resolution but the desk jockey insinuated there was no on-line issues, but he could not reach their service center either due to an admitted twenty minute hold time. I am now in the process of finding a new bank.
