If there is anything I cannot stand, it is receiving an answer of "I don't know" when I ask a…read morequestion. Today, I finally ended the lingering relationship I had with TD Bank. I closed my checking and savings accounts sometime ago and opted for PNC where I always get answers to my questions and am remembered in the two branches I frequent. Today, I ended the affair with TD by closing out my safe deposit box. First, I waited close to 30 minutes to be seen by someone. Then it took another 45 minutes. There was a minor dispute over a second key and I was charged $25 for turning in only one key. When asked if I would be reimbursed if I turned in the second key they allegedly gave me when I opened the box, the girl waiting on me who was probably not old enough to drink, replied she didn't know and it would be up to management and I'd have to deal with it IF I ever returned the second key. Prior to closing my accounts, I waited upward of 10 days for payroll checks to clear into my account. Service was always snotty at best. That place blows. Way to go with killing the Commerce reputation and fond memories I have of quick service and friendly staff.

Went in to cash two checks today. Unfortunately the blonde teller did not feel it necessary to…read moregreet me, ask if I wanted large or small bills or even count the money in front of me. I said thank you multiple times and not one single your welcome or friendly smile was offered. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and does not treat guests like that on a regular basis.

Complete amateurs. Screw up constantly. Delayed millions in revenue. Go with a real bank.read more

This is a terrible bank. They rate a solid F in just about every category. Being a small business I…read morecan tell you they have the most unfriendly business policies possible. Example: I want to deposit money into my employee's pnc bank account so they can get paid. Can I? ... NO! I have to be an authorized user on the account! How about making a pnc personal check that comes from my pnc account available the same day? Absolutely not! Even though they can physically see the money in my account and I'm standing right in front of them NO! How about a home equity line of credit on a house that is completely paid worth 100k! Good credit 740+, no debt, good income. Wanted the loan for 25% of the value. DENIED! Reason: we don't like what it's being used for (to start a small business!) How about a simple cash deposit into your account? Well when you give them the cash and they pull it behind that little glass desk of theirs, depending on whether it's a new account or a larger deposit they will hit you with a mountain of paperwork and personal questions. I told them forget it, give me my money back, the teller refuses! She says I have to finish the paperwork despite just having received the money 30 seconds ago! It took 30 mins talking with the district manager on the phone before they were nice enough to let me have my own money back. Icing on the cake: You're fed up and want to leave this awful place. The bank manager prints you out a check with the total withdrawal from your account and closes it. You take the check to your new non-pnc bank to cash it. Just as you are about to deposit it you look down and notice that the pnc bank manager forgot to sign it. You try to hurry back to pnc but they are closed. Better luck next time!
