David, the associate who aided in finalizing the process, was also very pleasant and well-informed. There was a delightful exchange of conversation among the three of us. In today's world, where online transactions are prevalent, one can never predict the experience of visiting a physical location. However, I can confidently say that this was a wonderful experience, and the assistance provided by these two employees made the process smooth and efficient.

This bank reversed a chargeback after I was scammed for an online purchase. I was shopping at a…read morelegitimate online retailer, Cato Fashions, and was redirected to another website that was posing as Cato. They stole images from various websites, including CATO, and before you know it I ended up purchasing items from this unknown website, located in China. It took over a month to receive the merchandise, and I could not return it because there was no customer service number, no valid return address on the package, no packing slip or notification that the package had been delivered, nothing. Not even any tags on the garments! I was charged $116.42 for poor quality clothing, all different sizes, that was so badly made that I could not even try one garment on due to its legs being sewn together. They looked like cheap, thin polyester pajamas, not leggings with matching tunics. It was a package of junk. I had no choice since I could not contact them but to dispute the charge withTidemark FCU while they investigated. They reversed the chargeback stating that I received all items as pictured (not true), and that the return policy was only 15 days. Well, how can you return something that took a month to arrive? I tried (3 emails) tocontact the "company" Western Tags, but nobody ever responded back. After a Google search, I found others who have also been scammed by this unscrupulous company. Now Tidemark won't respond to me, and they are supposed to be member advocates. We would like our money back. We are in the process of closing our accounts and have liquidated most of our assets in this credit union. We have had other problems with their bank cards not working, etc., but this issue is just so unfair.

Finally i recieved my new debit card now its been 5 days and i don't have a pin number yet. Was told i would have it no more than 3 days after i recieved my card. One quarter is usually restaurants, another hotels, another gas, etc. Also, 0% international transaction fees, but good lucking finding places overseas that accept Discover. My only knock is the length of time it takes to get your cash back and all the loopholes you have to jump through to get your cash back. 6-8 weeks wait at times for the cash back to reflect in your account, and before you make the online purchases with the participating merchants you have to log in to your Discover account first and link to the merchant's web page before you make the purchase. Otherwise, you may not get the cash back by going directly to the participating merchant's website. Kind of a nuisance, but worth the hassle if you ask me.

When it comes to Customer Service, Discover Bank rates a big fat zero! I have been trying to close…read morean account and transfer funds to another financial institution since August 14, 2026. It is now almost three weeks later, and the transaction is still not completed. It took Customer Service reps two weeks to notify me that a signature was missing on one of their forms, and that I needed to re-submit, which I did. I was given that information after spending over 3 hours on the phone, on 3 separate attempts, to reach a human being! I submitted the form promptly; I was then told that the paperwork would be entered into the cue once again, and that it would take 7-10 business days for the transaction to be handled! In such a case, what organization makes a client start all over again instead of placing them back in the cue exactly where they were. I have never been more disgusted or more disillusioned with any company in my entire life. I am so glad to hear that they will be disappearing soon, although I am not so sure that things will be any better with Capital One.
