This year it was invested in a CD, but we decided to move it to an investment account at Schwab. We paid a large penalty to the credit union to do so and submitted the paperwork to move it in January of 2025. The check was held for about a week before being sent, then we found out that not only was his 2025 RMD taken out but also taxes. Who takes their RMD in January? You always let your investment grow during the year to maximize your distribution. He had just gotten a distribution in December when he always does. He did not authorize his 2025 RMD to be taken. It has impacted us significantly financially and when I called to inquire why they had done this they told me it "has to be done if you move an IRA". THAT IS NOT TRUE. They put it in a savings account there. I have moved my IRA multiple times and never had that happen. I THINK BECAUSE HE IS 86 YEARS OLD, HE WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I have lost all faith and confidence in this institution and intend to move our money elsewhere as soon as our next CD matures. It's a complete scam so they can collect more interest on the loan. Over the life of my loan, those extra 5 days per monthly payment will add up to over $1,000 in extra interest. The payment doesn't even show up as a pending payment on the app. Even when I've called their customer service, they don't even see a pending payment. They've told me nothing shows in their system until the payment is posted, which is 5 business days. DO NOT GET A CAR LOAN FROM THIS BANK.

It was obvious the woman I was working with was new, both because she told me she'd only been there for a few months and because we repeatedly had issues setting up the account. All she told me was that I needed a startup fee and did NOT need a checking account. Then by the end of the hour, they told me their system "sometimes doesn't work on Saturdays" and I couldn't even open the account, which is ridiculous considering this is a major bank. So I came back Monday, and now suddenly I'm told by another woman that I either need to keep $300 in a checking account or put in $25 and get charged $5 a month for the duration I have the account. Completely different information from what I was told Saturday. At that point I walked out. If they're this incompetent running a branch and giving basic information, I would not trust them with something like a safety deposit box.

But I've never had to show ID for a deposit before, and most places can verify your identity in other ways. I took my money and left. Next time I'll be closing my account.

If I need banking, I do not need to take off during working hours. Please remover the lobby is actually open at 9:00 am for Saturday. But their drive through is started at 8:00 am. The night time is easy access at the back of building with drive through ATM. The area is well lid and secure. One time I came 10 minutes before the opening, they are nice to open the door for my banking. The lobby is open and nice. The have interior ATM, client service area, manager room. They have public notary for one of my document for free since I am the member. I am usually go to the teller with my ATM card and photo ID to ask for the cashier check.
