My siblings, who use other banks, had their exact same checks deposit the next day. My credit score is 828. I am tired of being treated like a fresh out of jail convict by my own bank. I am in the process of switching to a competitor and so far have already felt a difference in the level of customer respect. I Just wanted BoA to know that treating your customers of 20 years like garbage can have consequences. Their site says that they are just being cautious, and are protecting me from fraudulent activity. Almost 8 months ago, I sent a…read moreformal letter to their headquarters in Bedminster, NJ requesting that statements get sent to my new address (out of state). When I never received statements at the new address, I called and was told that not everyone gets statements and that I was probably enrolled in online statements. I was NOT. Turns out, statements were being sent to my old address, and therefore I never received them - nor did I receive the notice that the bank would start charging $10 a month to my checking account as a service fee (which is already an absurd few - $120 annually just to have a checking account?). When I returned to NJ, I went to a branch and asked them to reverse the fees that I had accumulated. They apologized to me for never updating my address or properly noticing me of the change in fees, but said that it's not their policy to reverse fees. I closed my account immediately and will never, ever use them again. In fact, I am advising family, friends, and the general public to stay away from this absolute scam of a bank. They are more concerned with profit than honesty, integrity, or customer service. They essentially robbed me, and now I sincerely doubt that them "forgetting to update my address" was accidental.

They consistently give you misinformation compared to what the branches tell you. Today I waited online with five customers in front of me and one teller. Eventually the assistant vice President, store manager came over to help. She said they were shortstaffed because they promoted 2 people. help me understand how America's most convenient bank would promote two people prior to backfilling the position and leave customer standing in line. I've had numerous problems with Accounts and all-around have experience very poor customer service at several branches. It used to be a great bank but not anymore.
