The location is in cute Dover and the store is pretty large so I encourage you to go and look on every level, in every nook. I have gotten a few items from here and have never been disappointed. If you see something online they have and cannot get there immediately, just reach out to them and, if not already taken, they will hold one day for you to get there to see if it is what you want to purchase. I also have to say the prices are very reasonable. And, sometimes they do these 20% events - when they do, I try to go up even if I don't think I want or need anything. From embroidered rugs to decorative accents, kiddie stuff to kitchen gadgets, small furniture to diningware, holiday decor to unique gifts for everyone, this multi-room Americana collection is a primitives dream. The displays are well thought out, and no inch is left undecorated. Low and behold, I read about Seavey's in Portsmouth (with parking!) which apparently is in a new location. It is a light-filled factory building space but not overwhelming. It is set up so you want to walk around and try things out. Much of the furniture brings you back to the 50's. Some pieces are works of art! But many were beautiful but affordable. And made in this country! And it is locally owned! Which is what I wanted. Michael the owner is friendly and informed. And no pressure. He spent a lot of time with us trying to choose pieces for our limited space. We have swatches at home now to make decisions and look forward to returning to work with him. Maybe the categories on Yelp need to be switched up with furniture stores at the top so you don't miss going here first.
