This store is in a word AMAZING! If you are not picky as to perfection you will love the varied selection this store offers. Most items are marked down around 50% due to the items being discontinued, slightly below quality (too thin or too thick) standards, or overstock situations. Wanna save more or have a list of gift baskets to fill, no problem! You may purchase a whole sealed box to take away with you. Also of note, if you cannot decide on products, there are samples (jellies, etc) in the back of the store that may assist on what to buy. The far side (opposite of the cash stand) offers regular priced merchandise, with many items newly introduced to the market, so don't forget to check that out! Stonewall products are amazing in quality to begin with... this store does not compromise that too much but does make up in savings. read more

While walking around all of the different shops in Portsmouth, New Hampshire my family and I went into Stonewall Kitchen. Wow, very nice store. If you're in a Stonewall Kitchen and feel like something is pretty expensive then perhaps you should check out the Warehouse Store located in Rochester, New Hampshire. Knowing about the Warehouse Store/outlet in Rochester, New Hampshire (where my aunt resides), I decided not to buy anything in the retail store and instead pay a visit to the outlet later that day. The outlet has a surprising number of different products that are still "in season." And yes, there are also a variety of products that are no longer in season. Stonewall Kitchen produces a variety of jams, jellys, spreads, chutney, dips, etc. and also soaps, hand lotions, etc. I loved that there were the same products at the retail store as there were at the outlet and vice versa. Being an outlet, some of the product is overstock while some is "damaged." Don't worry though, Stonewall Kitchen tells you exactly what is wrong with the "damaged' product with a sign and expiration date in front of the product. Some reasons included overstock, one jar's weight was labeled incorrectly, some things were overcooked, etc. Regardless of the reasoning, Stonewall Kitchen had almost all of their products available to sample. So that "overcooked" jelly, you can try and see just how overcooked it is. Um, whatever, everything tasted fine to me! The prices were right as things were discounted. While the discounts varied per product, the fact of the matter is it was discounted and affordable. I ended up getting a variety of dip mixes, two or three jars of chutney, a bruschetta spread, and a couple of jams. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to going to the Buffalo Garden Walk with a great appetizer to share thanks to Stonewall Kithcen Warehouse Store! read more

This place is a joke. The prices are a joke. I mean, if you're looking for jams and jellies, go to your local grocery store, you'll get the SAME product for at least half of what this company is selling theirs for. $8 for a small jar of jam? I can get the same thing at Hannaford for $3.99. $6 for a box of crackers? I can get the same thing at Market Basket for $1.50. What you're paying for here is the name and the marketing of it being "homemade" and a "New England" thing. Two guys starting a jam/jelly business in their kitchen, big deal. Everyone starts somewhere. But not everyone gouges their customers with overpriced mediocre product. read more

I love this place. I live in RI, but I have a friend around the corner from Rochester who brought me to the Warehouse for the first time. I've been aching to go back ever since. The products are a few dollars cheaper than you'll find on the shelf elsewhere, but the products are just as good. "Irregular" generally means something was darker, lighter, or not as mixed as they felt it should be.. all tastes the same to me! I love Stonewall Kitchen and when I found out they had this warehouse store, I decided to make it a destination one afternoon. It seems many other people had the same idea as evidenced by all the varied license plates in the parking lot. There's not really anything else in the near vicinity for shopping (as far as I could tell), but it was definitely worth the trip. They have a selection of both first run products and sale/discontinued/irregular items. I love giving Stonewall Kitchen items as gifts. They feel fancy, and I believe they are of superior quality - not like common grocery store items. I'm really writing this review, however, to highlight the great customer service I experienced. I am almost 35 weeks pregnant, and I'm finding that I get tired more easily. Unfortunately, the store didn't have a ton of carts, so I had to carry my items in a basket. Not really a big deal, but I did have a lot of items and my basket was pretty heavy. The woman who was wrapping and bagging my items offered to help me out to my car and I accepted. It was a small act of kindness and soon I would realize how it really made my day. On the way out, I ended up holding the door open for a man and woman who were leaving with a full cart. I like to do nice things for people, too. I expected to get a "thank you" or at least an acknowledging smile. Nothing. Not even eye contact. Shortly after, I heard the woman say in my direction, "she's just faking being pregnant". What?! Needless to say, it was upsetting to hear those words, and to have a negative spin put on this very positive experience I had with the store employee. In fact, as she was carrying all three of my bags and loading them into my car herself, the employee was consoling me! Thank goodness for kind hearted people. I wish I would have gotten her name. She really did make my day. That, and the fact that I'm now stocked up on delicious Stonewall Kitchen products! read more

SNACKTIME! this place has so many things to sample, which is good for a cranky-when-hungry kid like me. it helps out a lot to have all these samples because it makes it easier to commit purchasing-wise to all the little jams and jellies and dips and spreads. i cannot stress enough the importance of the chocolate chip muffin mix. i don't know what it is about this stuff, but it's out of sight. the crumb topping is magic. i wanted to buy one of everything but didn't, sigh. i got some great household items. they had this delicious limoncello candle that smelled so amazing. i didn't think all the prices were very warehouse-y, though. most were, but some weren't. regardless, it's quality goodness. i'm not sure about the staff here. i feel like maybe they didn't approve of me. that's probably because i was wearing sweatpants and looked like crap, as i was camping nearby. excuse me, rochester, new hampshire elite. sorry i'm not dressed in my finest j.jill like you. read more

This place is great! For anyone who loves the products at Stonewall Kitchen, but doesn't have the cash to spend there on a regular basis, the warehouse store is the best solution out there! Full of "irregular" items at up to 80% off the retail prices. And irregular in this case could mean anything from a label being slightly misplaced to jams or jellies that are overstocked or overproduced for the season. Great, great place if you want to stock up on gifts or just enjoy their maple syrup and want to get it at a cheap price! read more

I have lived in this area my entire life, and never heard of this company really. I would drive by it all the time, and thought that it must be like a pottery place. I have never seen any mailers, promos, or any sort of advertising for this company. One day I decided to Google search Stonewall Kitchen and I was surprised to see it was a food/entertaining store. Because I am a New England blogger, I went home and decided to reach out to the company, and see what their policies were with the store being photographed, and to see if there were any discount codes I could offer to my readers who might like to make a purchase through their online store. A month went by with no answer. So I decided on my next trip to check it out, but not bring my camera along. It is kind of in a awkward location, but was fairly easy to access. The outside doesn't really showcase what they offer, just small writing on the glass. I walked in, and there was no one in the store, and no sales associates to be seen. So I browsed, saw palettes and palettes (and more palettes) full of small to medium sized jars, full of jellies, jams, relishes, etc. The inventory was pretty well stocked. To the left there was a clearance section, filled with items from Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Mind you, I visited this store in late January 27, 2014. I started looking at the clearance rack to see what their sales were all about. 3 words.... WHAT A JOKE. Their items at original price are simply outrageous. We are talking New York City fine retailer pricing. Nothing what people of this area would be able to afford. Halloween items were marked down at half price. A old bag of Halloween candy that sold for $8.99 was $4.99. HALLOWEEN candy. Candy that has been sitting their since at least September. That's their clearance price? What? I checked out a few more items on the clearance rack, everything was just too high priced and way out of season. So I began to check out the regular priced items. $10 for a small jar of chutney... no thanks. $8 small jar jams... I'll pass. The prices floored me. I began working my way towards a "imperfect" sampling station that had crackers available, along with all of the imperfect items that were on palettes available for sampling. I tried a few samples of dressings, and to be honest I've tasted better with generic grocery store brands. At this point I was really becoming disappointed. I heard some rustling from one of the doors near me, and finally a store employee came out. Never once greeted me, asked me if I needed any assistance, etc. No interaction at all. I continued looking at some discounted items that actually were a good value, a box of sugar cookie mix for $3.49. Then I noticed the expire date, only 2 days away. Not worth it. Finally I was up near the check out area, and saw some sauces on sale. The store had placed a sign under them with a sign displaying the price and it listed the expire date "January 22, 2014". So 5 days past it's expire date and it was STILL being sold. Yuck. I finally found a small jar of honey mustard sauce for $1.99, and I figured I'd try it since I wanted to at least be able to try one of their products. I got up to the register to check out, and the woman never really spoke to me. Asked for my phone number, told me the price, gave me a bag left over from the holidays, and handed me my receipt. So overall, I am not impressed with this store. I understand it's a warehouse, so some things may not be perfect, but I have seen much better from other warehouses. The customer service was non existent. There is absolutely no value. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your time, gas and money. read more

Great low prices on stuff that is usually overpriced anyway :). They sell leftovers, discontinued stock, or batches that are the wrong consistency/texture. They do a great job explaining why the stuff was not put into full production and what you can use it for. read more

The store is set with the perimeter being ALL full price merchandise and the middle is the sale or discontinued items. Many had expiration dates in the next 2 months which was a bummer. I would go again if in the vicinity. read more

If you are a Stonewall Kitchen fan, then this is a don't miss if you are in the area. They sell all of the regular items here, but the "irregular" marked down items are the real draw. Products are usually marked down 50-75% for reasons such as a wrong cap, crooked label, being discontinued, close to expiration date, to thick, too thin, etc. I've gotten some great deals here. read more

Still a great place to pick up a bargain on Stonewall brand products such as jams, relishes, pie fillings, cake mixes, etc. I love the fact that there are samples of things to taste and they let you know exactly why the are discounting the item (they made too many, it came out too runny). It is also a great place to pick up serving and decorating items as well. Worth the detour for sure! read more

GREAT place to stop by, GREAT deals, delicious samples, friendly staff, wide variety. The prices are lower than their retail stores because "no label", "labeled wrong" too many bubbles, but nothing is wrong with the actual product. I even took my family from way out of state and they spent $$$ in that store. I go back each month for different bargains. read more
