Here's what I like: TONS of pinball machines, darts and pool tables. All affordable to play Lots of cold beer options Fun atmosphere First visit to the new arcade area: They had a ton of games and the employee behind the counter was super kind and patient with my kids. I think there was a birthday party going on. Nobody could really confirm if we were allowed to play so we stayed. Games were brutally short and expensive. I cannot recommend bringing young kids here. Not that a pool hall is necessarily where they should be to begin with. I wish they had an unlimited play option. Awesome hangout spot or place to bring a date. Leave the little kids at home. read more

his place is pretty awesome. Half pinball and half pool hall. Lots of pool tables and about 80 pinball machines. We were there on a Monday night and there were a couple of people on the floor fixing pinball machines. It's really cool to have an active person working to fix them, I'm sure it takes a lot of manage with as many pinball machines as they have. The one thing is they are a bit rude. Twice we were playing a machine and were asking to move because they were trying to get by with tools or another machine. And when your actively in a game of pinball you can't stop or you will lose so pretty rude they didn't just wait for you to be done or come back when the walkway was clear. My favorite machines are Metallica, Scooby-doo and fun house. Those were the most fun. The fun house machine particularly I thought was in very good shape, Scooby-doo is pretty cool also. I couldn't leave buffalo without having buffalo wings and even though this place isn't know for the that the food was surprisingly good and cheap. We got 10 wings and I split them with my husband. They were mild. Def spicy but not too too spicy and the wings were super crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. Blue cheese was good too and they gave baby carrots. When they came out they were steaming hot. You could literally see the steam come off of them. Wished we lived here so we could come more often! read more

I was looking for something fun to do while spending the night in Buffalo and found this spot. It was pretty busy, but had a great vibe overall. I think anyone could come in and have a good time here! (felt lgbtq and poc friendly) Even though it was busy, we were able to do a lot. Good drinks. Lots of pool tables and arcade games. Pocketeer is back open and nobody is happier than me. A night of pool, darts and pinball is inexpensive and fun. They also have lots of stuff to drink behind the bar, and the prices of those are pretty decent as well. Clean inside and they are definitely following Covid guidelines. Adding 80 + pinball machines in the back was a genius idea! The Jukebox is always cranking the best songs. Nothing else like this place (that I know of) in WNY ,so that for that reason and more, I give Pocketeer 5 stars! read more

Don't let the name fool you! This place offers more than just billiards! They have a bunch of arcade games for you to choose from. They also have a plethora of pinball machines and the games are reasonably priced. What I liked most is that towards the front towards the bar and billiards area, you can really hear the music playing loudly, almost club-like. Towards the back where the arcade games are, you can't really hear it and you're just able to focus on your games! It was a really nice touch. Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced, but the service was a little on the slower side. However, I will definitely go back, because we had a really good time! read more

I was looking for a place with pinball and pool and won the lottery with this one! We walked in and I was in heaven. They have over a dozen pool tables and a VERY wide variety of pinball both vintage and newer models. They call the pinball area pinball alley and that is an understatement, as the whole back of the bar is pinball. They also have a variety of other arcade games, darts and skeeball which is also one of my favorite games as well. The place was clean and filled with people. As we approached the bar, the bartender took our drink orders and was super helpful with assisting us with our drink selections. She informed us our sodas were free refills (just in case somebody wondered). We then ordered our meal. We got nachos, jalapeno poppers and wings. It is bar food, but was really good. My favorite was the bourbon wings, a must try! And may I add the prices were amazing! After eating we decided to play pinball. Each one is $1 to play. I was in heaven, although the x-files pinball was not there this time, they had some really great machines. One of my favorites was Tommy the who. I also learned that you can play teams of 2, 3 and 4. We met some awesome people there and played a round with them which was a blast. This place is great for a date night, night, out with the family or a fun place to hang out with friends! They run the pool tables by the hour and have packages for 1, 2, 3 and 4 people per hour. This place is super cool if you love pinball! They have 75 different pinball machines, it's like a pinball lovers dream come true! They gave "Free Play Tuesdays" where they pick a few pinball machines that you can play for free (go figure!). They have a number of bar pool tables and tournament style pool tables to choose from. I came in on a Tuesday night, as you can see from my Free Plays comment above... and it seemed pretty busy to me! However, my date thought it would have actually been more crowded. I haven't been here in over a year, and this is only my second time here ever. I'm not an avid billiards player, but I definitely thought it was rockin' for a Tuesday night. read more

I LOVE This place. My husband and I have been going here for years. The old owners were terrific and even opened shop just for us on EASTER after we left a family party. We got to play pool, hang out with the owners and their awesome golden retriever. I haven't met the new owners, but they have really transformed the place into a party place. The 30ish pinball machines, the new bar, etc. It's a great place to get a couple friends together to watch a Sabres game while drinking some beers and play arcade games and pool. The prices are decent and you can almost always find coupons for 1/2 price for an hour of pool. Highly recommended! read more

Haven't been here in years and came a few months back. Many changes, half the amount of pool tables but now there are so many pinball games it's crazy! They also have a full bar and many other coin games. Plan on spending a few hours here, start with the games stick in an hour or 2 of pool and have some drinks with friends - I can pretty much promise you will have a good time! read more

I had never been to this place and I really enjoyed the experience! It's a really big place with loads of pool tables and so many more pinball machines than I've ever seen before! I had a great time here walking around, having some drinks, and enjoying the games they had. The staff were very friendly and helpful and bar service was quick and affordable. The 6 foot tables are per game about a dollar and the 8 footers are $12 an hour so quite the price difference if it matters to you. They've got lots of different beers on tap and they've got a food menu as well with normal bar food items. Cool place, I'll definitely come back again! read more

Cheap drinks, AMAZING number of pinball machines (seriously) and a large number of pool tables and (arguably most importantly) a cool music selection and Pocketeer Billiards becomes the cool divey-esque bar to go to, especially if you're looking for something to do (i.e. drown your sorrows in oldschool and newschool pinball). My wife and I found this place on Yelp and came here on a Saturday night to enjoy their pool. Man, what a difference this place was compared to some of the other pool halls we've been to. It's a lively place, kinda noisy, but with a fun alternative vibe. It's the sort of place where you may just break out and start dancing in the middle of your pool game (I certainly did). My wife enjoyed a few gin and tonics and they were approximately $3 each. Pool is $10 for an hour if you're renting with 2 people and Sunday I believe they have all you can play pool for $10. Kitchen has things like wings, but we didn't get a chance to try em. The pinball is SWEET. I only played 3 of the machines, but my favorite was the oldschool Simpsons machine. We played a bunch of pinball and a bowling arcade that looked to be from the 60's. Their drinks are pretty cheap and the pinball games cost between .50¢ - $1. For some reason I have been craving pinball lately. This place definitely helped me get my pinball fix. This place is no frills, but I like it that way. The drinks are crazy cheap ($4 drafts) and the barfood is limited but decent. I love that they have a random assortment of souvenir pint glasses...it adds a laid back homey vibe to the place. Also the tap list was decent as was their bottle list. I was actually surprised by the quality and variety of the selection. The machines are in good condition, and they are good about fixing or reimbursing you if anything takes your quarters. I would say about half of the machines are $0.50 and the other half are $1.00. I think the $1.00 machines are a tad extravagant, but since the drinks are so cheap I cant really complain. I also love the vintage mechanical bowling game they have in the back. They also have a selection of skill games you can win tickets on, but considering the lowest prize is 300 for a bouncy-ball, that's not going to be a cost effective endeavor. This is a great place to meet up with a group of friends. We were there on a Saturday night, and earlier in the evening around 8pm it wasnt very crowded, but by the time we left close to midnight the bar was full and there wasnt an empty pool table in sight. Some friends recommended meeting at Pocketeer one quiet afternoon when we couldn't think of anything else in particular to do. It turned out to be surprising fun and affordable way to hang out, have a few beers, and enjoy some old-time pinball. My preconceptions of pool halls has been biased by cinematic depictions of dark, smokey places where unseemly characters do their scheming. This couldn't be further from the truth in the case of Pocketeer. The place is bright, spacious and clean, with a full bar, snack menu, sports playing on various TVs, about 20 pool tables and 60 pinball machines. Yes, 60 pinball machines, ranging from nostalgic 70s classics to contemporary music and movie themes. Games start at 50 cents, most are $1, and a few reach $2 per play. For about $20 each we had several beers and all the pinball we could handle. The limited menu is not vegan friendly, but I did have a few spicy waffle fries. I wouldn't order them again, but I will definitely return for the pinball. read more

Review primarily for the pinball, but it's a fine little bar / amusement center all by itself. The pinball, however, is curatorially excellent: lots of recent machines, with a mixture of heritage machines dating back to the 1960's, well-maintained, and in regular rotation by all appearances. The pinball area is off to the rear and large and nicely arranged given the constraints of pool tables everywhere else. The spot is a treasure that makes me envious for one like it in the capital region. My kudos to the owners for taking the time and dedication to reach critical mass and make a pinball mecca for Western New York. Other aspects: the bar prices are relatively cheap (even if the bloody mary came with a straw and not a celery stick) and there's very light fast-food type fare available for the snacks. It's not going to bring you into the kitchen but will satisfy your munchies. Staff were uniformly nice during my several days in residence there for a pinball tournament, and the usual problem of having to navigate smokers at the door wasn't as bad as some other places I can think of. Even ignoring the pinball, a nice joint to relax and have a few beers and play a few games. read more

This place is awesome for pinball!! It's cheap- some Games are actually 50cents- which I haven't seen in a long time. They have some skee ball and other games for kids that give tickets for prizes. They have pool tables of course, and a bar. We talked to the bar tender/owner and she's just the nicest person you'd ever meet. My 9 year old couldn't get her ticket from a machine, and she had her husband get it out and saved it behind the bar- we came in and I completely forgot about it but she called me over and handed it to us. Really thoughtful. We joined the selfie pinball league which is a fantastic way to play in a league and not have to be there at a certain time every week. We haven't eaten there yet, but there is food- it smells good lol. Next time we will grab some grub. If you like pinball or pool- you gotta stop in. You won't regret it. I am from NYC and have never seen a Billiards like Pocketeer. The owner must be a collector of pin ball machines because there are probably a 20+ variety there. Not only that, they have ample pool tables, arcades, a juke box with up-to-date music and a bar with an array of great beer! It was nice stopping by whilst it was snowing outside to catch a few games of pool and arcade games. The cherry on top is the games also spit out tickets that can be claimed for prizes. I felt like a kid again at Pocketeer and in a very good way! If you've got some spare time on your hands or are looking for some fun and games in Buffalo, this stop is a MUST. read more

The pool hall that has it all. It has a bar, plenty of arcade games, jukebox, plenty of TV's to watch the game on and of course - plenty of Billiards tables! There are many deals at different times and days to give you the best deals while you shoot pool! it is clean and fun, and there is always an empty table! There is rarely any drama which lets me know there will be no over-serving and is just a good time. I've visited Pocketeers many times and is the only place I go when I want to play pool with my friends. Bottom line: Get there and enjoy yourself! read more

This place is a great time for pinball, billiards, big buck hunter, and more. Food is average bar food and there is a full bar. When I went again last week, they seemed to be dealing with a leak because the whole place smelled like mold. All of the ceiling tiles looked wet and were sagging. Some pool tables were covered for protection from the drops but the smell was overwhelming. Hopefully they fix this soon because I love bringing friends here! read more

I leave this place smelling like stale beer and despair. Terrible customer service, if you can even get any. I spent 15 minutes waiting to get service at the bar from unfriendly staff. The food is subpar, even for bar food. The door on the men's room doesn't lock, so I had some rando walk in on me when I was using the bathroom. THEN when I was finished, I washed my hands and there weren't any paper towels. This is a massive place with a large selection of pool tables, video games and pinball machines but all that isn't enough to get me to ever come back. read more

Such a gem! It really is a unique, casual hangout that my fiance and I found randomly. When we looked in the windows and saw the large number of pinball machines we needed to visit! So many! They also have a selection of arcade games and of course a huge area for pool tables. The bar food is limited, but with fried sides, pizza, wings, and snacks, it fits well. My fiance and I enjoyed the liquor and domestic beer choices. Once we got 4 beers, a personal pizza, & an appetizer sampler for $27 before tip. Most of the pinball machines are $1 with some being .75 and .50 cents for one round. They have a section with comfortable chairs and tables to watch any sports games on flat screens. The jukebox is digital, takes cards, and has a large selection of newer music. Very enjoyable. When we went on a Thursday night, there were not a lot of people at the bar and we were the only two playing pinball. It was amazing. Will be bringing other people back here soon! read more

I got stuck in Buffalo due to a snow storm and happened upon this little slice of heaven..... 42 pinball machines and $2 beers. Woah!!!!

Came here a while back to try out some old school pinball machines with a few co-workers. The pinball games were fun and they had a lot to choose from but that about ends the positives from our night. Getting a drink was near impossible, even with a sparse crowed on the night we were there. No bartender was present at the bar, and when they finally emerged from the back they were in no rush to take our order and seemed to have a lot of trouble working the touchscreen system. We ordered a selection of your typical bar food from the menu (pizza logs, wings and the like...) the food was OK. I don't know what problems the cook was having, but the whole bar area filled up in a smoky fog from the kitchen as they cooked our order. The real problems with our night came when we used the restrooms. Maybe they aren't used to customers washing their hands after using the restrooms but there were no paper towels in the mens bathroom (or women's either as my coworkers reported) which makes me cringe to think about how unsanitary those pinball buttons I was pressing must have been. read more
