I had no idea what to expect when walking in this place! There was a lot of punk happening. Great crowd and excellent drink specials! Service was good and the people were friendly!

Cute intimate themed bar with great service. Perfect for pre/post dinner cocktails with the girls or for date night. More of these in Buffalo would do well! It'd be nice if they had a patio space for the summer!

Love love love this spot :-) clean fair prices good food and amazing service :-) some of my favorites are Jesse, Olivia and Nicole :-) Skylar was great too, but he moved on to be a chef and pursue his dream hutches, etc. :-) highly recommend this spot great pool table, clean bathrooms, great bar, snacks, and always new specials on the menu!

I really enjoyed the late afternoon-early evening I spent at downtown's newest drinking hole. Great location, funky, fun vibe, whimsical decor, quality spirits, light snacks - just what you want in a modern day saloon. The word comes from the French salon, and it originally had the same meaning, "living room." Ideally situated, House of Charm can be a meeting place before a show in the theater district, an after work meetup for happy hour, or a stop on a downtown bar hopping adventure. There's no craft beer, no "signature cocktail", nothing on the menu you can't pronounce. There are good white, red and sparkling wine choices, top shelf vodkas, whiskys, etc. and a fun modelo pony and any shot for $4. I opted for the French Rose on offer and was not disappointed. There are snacks available; nothing more substantial than a panini. I indulged in the cheese plate - which was generous and reasonably priced at $13 (they had me at triple creme brie!). There is a showstopper among the snacks, though. The house made pate is a fantastic accompaniment for the drinks. It's a must have if you like that sort of thing. The decor is lighthearted and artsy, the bar stools comfortable (and stylish!!) and the service friendly. The music was old school country during my visit - think Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash... I enjoyed the relaxed, informal ambiance.

Cute little bar with great lighting and eclectic decor. We stopped in for a cocktail, and they did not disappoint. Good service as well.

We had a really good time here grabbing drinks but were very disappointed in the lack of specialty cocktails, which the former place was known for and decor suggests is still the highlight. The menu consisted of very basic beer and wine and nothing special for cocktails. We probably won't be back unfortunately with nothing unique to offer. The place before it had nearly identical decor and didn't make it even though they had a much better drink selection. I sadly don't expect this place to last unless they find something unique to bring people here.

Great place to grab drinks with friends. The bartender made some fabulous cocktails and the ambience was very moody.

Big fan of this spot for a pre or post event cocktail, or happy hour! Very cozy bar stools, super cool vibe and lighting, and bartenders are always friendly and attentive. They've got 4 panini options along with snacks like nuts, chips, pretzels, and what the bartender from Philly told us was a cheese board with an incredible value for what they were charging - I want to say it was $12, but may be wrong about that. We didn't end up getting it, only because my friend doesn't like cheese (WUT). We came before a wedding and I got a glass of rosé and was very pleased with the size of the pour! My friend got a Hendricks gin and tonic and it went down easily. We split a deliciously crispy panini with salami and roasted red pepper to hold us over through the ceremony, and then headed on our way to witness the I do's. Looking forward to next time!

super slay place exactly where you wanna be for a nice cocktail and gossip!! cute pink lights

Any shot and a mini beer for $6

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

We came here for lunch because we seen so many great reviews but man, what a disappointment. The…read morebar area was nice, but the service and the food was not as everyone else described. I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

Feels like home to me. 2) They always host grand bands/DJs resulting in really fun shows that draw interesting groups of people. You really won't have a boring night if you end up stopping here. 3) (Semi-related to reason #1) Super affordable! Depending on the night and what band is playing, the cover charge isn't bad. Well drinks are $3-4 and beers can be even cheaper. You really can't beat it. My only gripe is that it's always sort of cold in there? I get it, it's an old building, not much they can do. You're not living if you don't spend some time at Mohawk Place. It's my favorite place to catch a show in Buffalo!

Drink pricing and selection were very reasonable. I arrived around 6 on a Saturday, and just missed their cover charge. I was told the band did not start until at least 8, and while I appreciate a good dive and live music, I would be hard pressed to pay a cover here. Some patrons said that it is too loud to enjoy socially when a band is playing, which I can see given the size of the place. The bathroom graffiti was definitely more creative than most! (Yes, I'm weird guys lol) It's definitely a place I would return again if bar hopping, but not somewhere I'd be comfortable going alone at night (speaking of the location, not the establishment itself)
