I almost feel bad not giving Manor Lanes five stars, but i'm sort of...traditionalist about these things. The food and beverage selections are good, service has been friendly, the lanes are in good working order, the ball selection is varied and solid...I have not an overtly bad thing to say about the place. I even like the cornball animations that you pose for when you begin so that they get worked into the graphics between rolls. Except this: everything costs like 30% more than at Classic Lanes, the more hardscrabble and bare-bones competition that's like a mile away, which, despite being cheaper, has, for my money, better food, along with about a kazillion vegan options, which is pretty progresssive for a bowling alley, and which Manor Lanes does not have. (Full disclosure: I'm in an informal monthly bowling group that alternates between these two bowling alleys and we have some internal dissension about which one is better, although we all agree that they are both good.) So, if you told me that I could only bowl at Manor Lanes, I'd really be fine with it. It's a nice place, and it absolutely blows away the shitty, overpriced, gimmicky AMF lanes in town. I just might prefer its slightly more blue-collar competition. read more

A few weeks ago, we had a birthday party for my husband here. He randomly wanted a bowling party, and neither of us have been for a long time. We ended up having a fantastic time, and I was really happy with how the party went. The man who booked it for us, I think the owner, was really nice and helpful and in the booking process. I was extra happy when, after I picked a package and gave him a number of people, he allowed me to only pay for the food of the people not bowling despite the package being a set price for food, bowling, and shoes. I expected to pay a flat rate for all, despite my parents not wanting to bowl, so I thought it was kind that he didn't have me pay for them for bowling. The party went off without a hitch! Everyone got shoes and they put us in a couple lanes on the side of the alley so it was more private. They also dimmed the lights so we got to have midnight bowling. Our food package included pizza, wings, salad, and pop. I also added on some nachos and fries, and I was able to have a tab at the bar for pitchers of beer. Speaking of the beer, they had a wide selection of them available for pitchers, including many local and some hard cider! The food was set up right behind the lanes for us so we didn't even need to leave them to eat. I wouldn't expect a bowling alley to have really good food, but we all loved it and my family, often picky about wings, were raving about them. Overall, the experience was lots of fun, prices very reasonable, and friendly and helpful staff. Best part - the 90s playlist they had playing throughout, giving us the most fun nostalgia boost!! Stopped here with a friend mid-September for dinner. On this occasion I decided to go with medium wings and fries. I wanted to try the normal Buffalo flavor, as opposed to the other amazing flavors I've been told they have and are delicious. The medium wings were crispy and amazing. These wings are in my top 10. The fries were also good. The service was good as well. Downside, they didn't have the popcorn machine going. Fun family evening - not a straight +/- night. For entertaining kids: it was a ton of fun. All players make happy/sad/mad faces at the start. After each bowl, a cartoon comes up on the screen with players' faces inserted. The kids loved each one! --can raise/lower bumper guards throughout the game- when you enter names, you can choose who gets bumper guards and who doesn't. For customer service: owner is super engaged in ensuring everyone has a great experience. Customer service when they are not busy is fantastic. When we first got there, there was us and one other family. A staff member helped my kids pick out balls, and another helped us with this rolly device for the kids to enhance their faux-bowling experience. Food was brought out promptly. After a birthday party arrived, we were completely forgotten. Server did not check in once. When I wanted to order food to take home, I had to ask three people to take my order before I gave up - the owner saw me rally eyes and wave my hands in the air. He asked what was up and sent the server to the table to take my order. Food: Pizza was... fine? It had cheese and red colored sauce. No seasoning. No salt, no Italian seasoning. The kids LOVED it. Price: I don't know...? I haven't been bowling in ages. Felt expensive, at about $100 for food and bowling for two hours. But maybe that's the going rate for bowling? Overall, the kids had a super fun time, and that was the value of the experience. This is without question one of the best bowling alleys I've ever been to. I joined a weekly bowling league this past fall (relax I'm an amateur!) and I was immediately impressed. First off, the space is quite large with MANY lanes. There is adequate parking too right outside. The people who run the bowling alley are all very kind and welcoming - they even have a sense of humor. The place is always clean, including the bar area, and they have good music and adequate lighting. I also like the computers at each lane - the software allows you to take selfies and put them up on the score board next to your name haha! Of note - their food (typical bar food) is actually pretty solid. They also have a decent drink selection at the bar (wine and even some whiskeys). I absolutely love it here! I play in a weekly volleyball league here on Friday nights. We come inside occasionally to cool off, use the bathroom etc. they have midnight type bowling on the weekends which I have seen draw a size able crowd. It's friendly and cute, and I would definitely bowl here. The star of the show for me is our waitress on Fridays, Victoria. She is amazing! Friendly, personable, fast and efficient. She goes above and beyond for her customers. I sprained my thumb one week and she fashioned me a bag of ice without asking and has asked me how I'm feeling every single week since. I have been coming to Manor Lanes since I was just a kid, although recently we've been coming a lot more frequently. With weekly bowling, volleyball leagues, and a fully stocked bar they really have a lot to offer. We just wrapped up a six week bowling league and I besides the interior maybe needing a little updating (the walls and ceiling look like they were last updated in before I was born) I can't think of a single complaint. Great for families and friends. I was not a fan of their food though... my boyfriend ordered their specialty dish-- fried buffalo chicken rolls with ranch sauce. They were too salty and greasy... He ended up getting an allergic reaction to it (he's allergic to nuts). Perhaps they used peanut oil to fry the rolls? I discovered this place on the Groupon website. My kids loved this place! My 9 year old daughter had been begging to go here after she had gone on a field trip to Manor Lanes with her summer camp. I haven't been bowling in years, but I had a great experience at Manor Lanes. COVID restrictions in place and followed. Everything was cleaned and santized after use and I felt pretty safe. Electronic scoring with some cool "features" if you are into that kind of thing- personally, I learned to keep score with paper & pencil so I don't need all the bells & whistles, but to each their own. I didn't try the bar food, but will in the future. There was a thermal temperture scanner upon entering the building that also checked to ensure you were wearing a mask--first time I've seen anything like that. No problems throughout the evening and had a great "check out" experience with friendly service & a print out of the scoresheet. Can't wait to go back. read more

Definitely will be our preferred bowling alley moving forward! On a whim we decided to go bowling this evening and chose Manor Lanes due to the excellent reviews found here. We definitely agree with the positive sentiments! As bowling alleys go, Manor Lanes is probably the nicest I've been to. The modern score keeping system has fun mini games/themes you can play with, and you're treated to bowling trivia and statistics of your performance throughout. The facilities themselves are nice and clean. Pricing is offered either by game (what we did - $4.25/game/person) or hourly. They also offer midnight bowling from 10p to 2a on Fridays and Saturdays, with a fixed price for all you can bowl for the full four hours, including the price of shoe rental. Will definitely be taking advantage of that deal in the future! We ordered Cajun fries, their chicken wing rolls, and a chocolate shake while we were there. All were satisfying bar food, and we'll definitely explore more of their expansive menu in the future. Would recommend Manor Lanes! read more

If you're looking for a place to bowl, then the Manor in which you go about finding an alley is important. When calling places up and asking questions, mind your Manors. I bowled at this Manor Lanes once when I lived up in Amherst, as well as the other location (which was by my house) 3 or 4 times, and always thought it was a lovely place to bowl with nice employees and excellent, clean, fun and safe facilities. They don't really enforce the rules (which for me was helpful) and it's a very relaxed environment with a nice bar. I was reminded of this place just a few weeks ago when we went to a Yelp party here, which was also wonderful. But this review is for my previous experiences at this alley which were stellar. I'd say it's ahead of my 2nd fave place to bowl in WNY (although what I do, you can't really describe as bowling), which is Transit Lanes. read more

Manor lanes is on its way to being the top place for food and fun! Right when you approach the building they have COVID-19 precautions in place and vaccinated guests do not have to wear masks! The eating area was clean and as soon as you walk in there is a temperature checker to make sure you and others are safe to bowl,eat and drink. My personal favorite was the Meatball Sub sandwich. The meatballs were made from scratch. You can see the cubed pepper and onion pieces inside the meat and you can tell by the slight imperfections of the meatball that they were shaped by hand. The red sauce was made from scratch and oh how delicious it was! It was a bit on the sweeter side so if you like sweet red sauces this is for you! The bread was chewy and nicely toasted. They are doing construction now so I would call ahead to make sure that you'll have a lane. Very friendly staff and the food looked really good too! I am the grumpiest bowler ever, I am 25 and have NEVER had a good experience. I came here once before for a happy hour and I had tons of fun! It was fun to hang out by the bar and play darts. But, recently I came back to bowl on a little afternoon date with my husband and neighbors. And WOW, this place turned me from grumpy to obsessed. I just had a lot of fun!
