Last night, I could not access my Uber website for whatever reason AND had to call Pocono Cab service same gentleman that picked me up that I reported unless website posting on this site, pick me up when I got into the car he said there is a new policy and new policy is 35% upfront no matter where you're going. My trip should've been $30.32 $33 so I gave him $40 to make sure his """ His deposit was covered once again this gentleman took the long way around and my final bill was $38.75 if you see this gentleman picking you up, I would call for another driver or turn around and download Uber. Pocono cab was our savior at 1:00 in the morning!!!! We were stranded in Hawley pa with no Uber, Lyft, or any type of transportation company. Our truck broke down at the Hawley train station after doing the pa bike rail on October 28 2025. We managed to drive in limp mode to the Ford dealership thank god it was close to the train station. And after 5 hours of four people continuously looking for any type of ride home Pocono cab not only answered the phone, but you could understand them and it was Mike,by the way HUGE shout-out to Mike the dispatcher and Mike the driver for saving me and my family. Very nice young man, waited while I went in the store, as hubby's in hospital, & I don't drive. 2nd time using their service, & both were pleasant rides, with pleasant & good drivers. Friday night in the Pocono's. I just needed to get out of the house. Quick run to the store, felt so good just to have the feeling of being landlocked, taken away even if it was maybe a 15 min drive. I have used Pocono Cab many times and have always received excellent service as I did an hour ago.

These people are scum. My elderly mother has a severe infection that the ER told her could lead to amputation if it got beyond a certain point. Well, today, it got to that point. She called Pocono Cab for a ride back to the ER and the dispatch bitch on the other end of the phone said "how dramatic" when my mom stated it was urgent she go to the hospital. Said bitch then claimed they have no cabs until 3pm. Mom said "fine" and asked if she could reserve for 3. The bitch then said they "don't reserve." My mom told me not to call them to complain, so I figure leaving a review is the next best thing. Maybe even better because people will know about their treatment of the elderly. If you want to get from A to B at any time in the night THESE ARE YOUR GUYS. Don't expect the nicest or cleanest cabs but these guys run all night long. The operator is super helpful with making suggestions in the area. Bad reviews are probably from families and people expecting high end service. The RUDEST and LAZIEST driver I have ever encountered (and I've used cab services worldwide my entire life). I was attempting to help a disabled elderly man in a wheelchair, into the cab. The man weighed a minimum of 280lbs - I'm 5'1, weigh 130 and I'm 60 plus years). The driver flatly refused to assist me in ANY way in placing the man and his wheelchair into the (extremely filthy) vehicle - including to open the door(while I was straining to prevent this disabled man from falling onto the ground). REFUSING TO EVEN OPEN THE DOOR?? UNBELIEVABLE. What kind of selfish person behaves this way??? I'll clue you in...A narcissistic thoughtless one. I understand that cabbies are not 'required' to assist patrons. But how can it be that we seem to have lost all decent sense and are scraping the bottom of the barrel for some common courtesy? Or even to have a single grain of empathy towards a disabled person? Further, it was equally unfortunate that I wasn't able to decipher any of the few words the cabbie cretin growled at me. Actually, that was probably fortunate. If I were the owner of Pocono Cabs, I'd attempt to raise the standards of my company a tiny bit. After all, this is a people service and customer service should play a role. (That's actually a laughable concept considering the behavior of this lowlife driver). Pocono Cab did a great job. I called and 20 minutes later they arrived, exactly where I asked them to be, and the driver was a great guy. Will happily use again if/when the need arises and wholly recommend their clean cars, reliable service, and decent rates. Cost me like $8 to get from the repair shop to home and I didn't have to bother anyone in my family who have scheduling restraints. Anyways, definitely a more laid-back approach to ride service than Uber/Lyft who force their politics on their riders and drivers. No stress is the stress for me. Thanks Pocono Cab. read more

Horrific. Driver didn't wear a mask and was coughing up a lung. The cab was absolutely filthy and gross. From the ceiling, seats, floor, windows, everywhere was so dirty. The cab wreaked of smoke and the back windows didn't work. Horrible. I would give it zero stars if I could. read more

The dispatcher assured me of my on time pickup, as i explained i was scheduled for a surgical procedure. I needed to be there to be prepped at 10:30. Procedure @11:00. I live 30 minutes away from my destination. I was told my pickup time would be 9:45. I got the first call saying the driver was about ten mins late. Driver didn't get to me until 10. 11 am not leaving me enough time to make it there. Now im so upset, and now the driver is riding so fast even with the seatbelt on, and i was in a van, i was almost thrown off the seat to the left, an tightened my belt. I was with a walking cane and my spine was hurting so bad. Im 63 years old. Then it cost $56.00 dollars to go from Bushkill to East Stroudsburg leaving me with not enough money to get home. I was crying! I took $100.00 with me. And It wasnt enough!!!! It was a nightmare. Never ever again. Im practically cribbled and id rather walk. The van smelled too. read more

Have never used the cab service before but I work as a waitress at Old Mill Pizzeria and one of the drivers pulled into the parking lot and opened his door before he even put the vehicle in park, left the drivers side door open, walked inside and was very rude and demanding ordering a slice of pizza. He grabbed a can of pepsi from one of our coolers and he walked up to the counter to pay and after paying he stole from our tip jar that is on the counter THREE separate times. I caught a glimpse of one time and immediately told my boss and he checked the cameras and it 100% showed that he stole several bills each time out of the tip jar. read more

slamA taxi van driver almost hit me on 611 going towards mt pocono at the merge Giant. He was well past the end of the merge lane yet kept driving. It was bumper to bumper. his window was right near my passenger side window. And was still nosing in. I beeped my horn and he gave me the finger. I had to move in the turning only lane to àvoid being hit. There's no way for me to even stop to let him in because he would have still got my car. When I called the taxi service center and told them the guy acted like he could care less. Said I'll look into it. I said I'd like a call back. He said super nasty "i told you what will happen.!" I needed a taxi from the Trailways station in Stroudsburg and Pocono Cab came through with flying colors. I believe I got the same dispatcher that everyone here is complaining about, and yes, he is a bit abrupt in his manner, but he sent the cab to where I was in a pouring rainstorm and the whole thing went very smoothly. I believe it's largely a matter of luck with these services. How busy are they? If they're not too busy, you should get prompt service. My driver, furthermore, was very engaging and competent and got me where I needed to go. Gordon was his name and he's probably the most pro-Trump person I've ever met. The morning comes and the driver is almost 30 minutes late! My daughter was supposed to be at school at 7:30 and almost missed her slot! Horrible service! I'll never call this taxi or any taxi in the Poconos again. I switched to Uber. I was told that the wait would be 2.5 hrs. I called at 10:00am and didn't get a taxi until 4 hours later! The driver was rude. He was mad because he had to pick me up. I asked, why did you pick me up? He said, "Because we felt SORRY for you!" That's why it pays to do your research. The taxi cabs in the Poconos think they are the only alternatives. Don't call a taxi, use Uber or A company like Lyft instead. It's not worth the hassle nor the expense. Plus, why stress yourself out over rude drivers and rude dispatchers. I'm warning you, DO NOT take a taxi. The run on meters and your fee will be jacked up. The taxis are scuzzy and smelly. The drivers are either rude or goofy. I had another driver who kept talking and talking about how expensive my ride was going to be. At least you're getting paid!!! Why talk about it! That's my business. Anyway it cost me $100 round trip to Walmart. I got a Uber and it only cost me $80. Plus, driver had candy and bottled water. Now, I wish I could give Pocono Cab a 2.5 star, because that would perfectly describe this company. What you get is 50/50. We've been using this service for years, because, living out in the mountains without a car, you don't have much. Some times you get the best service. The dispatchers were always curt (that's fine), but the drivers came within 15 minutes when you were expecting an hour, were friendly, offered to help with your groceries. Then other days you get the new dispatcher who is the most condescending person I've ever spoken to over the phone (who I had to tell over and over again where I was.) And you get drivers who drive ridiculously fast and honestly scare me a bit. But the worst times, which I suppose make me feel better about that missing half-star, is that there have been multiple occasionss where we have called for a cab, they tell us an hour and a half and, what do you know SIX HOURS LATER they still aren't there. Call back, tell us "a driver's on their way." or "30 minutes" or "There's one in your area." An hour later, we have to call them again wondering where they are. I wish they would just tell us the truth. Don't lie and make us wait in the freezing weather outside. read more

I saw bad reviews but decided to give them a try anyway. It can't be that bad, I thought, I'll just call them in advance. Called at 2:41pm on Thursday. The operator mumbled something about not knowing the exact time of arrival and hung up. The car came at 5:25. I'm not kidding, I waited for 2 hours and 45 freaking minutes. After calling them in half hour, they told me it's gonna be at least 30-40 minutes more. Then I waited another hour, and they told me my car is the next car so maybe another 10-15 minutes. It came in an hour after that. This was by far the worst taxi (waiting) experience I've ever had. I don't care how bad the traffic is, this is simply beyond any reason. At least give me an approximate. Let me know how many people in front of me -- anything. Never again. read more

Good service. Many times I call for a pick up from the Martz bus station. The tip is to call 1 hour before you need the cab to meet you for prompt service If you travel during non rush hour the cab will be waiting for you. If its very busy at the Cab Company you may have to wait 5-10 minutes. The drivers are friendly, drive carefully and know the way around the area. read more

After reading all these bad reviews I was prepared for the worst. However, I had a completely positive experience with Pocono Cab. No problems at all. When I called, the dispatcher said a car would be on the way. That sounded too good to be true but I got ready to go just in case. Just a few minutes later the van was in my driveway. I couldn't believe it! The van was new and had state-of-the-art equipment including satellite radio and a door that opened and closed automatically. The best was a sophisticated GPS system. I figured I'd have to give the driver directions the whole way, but before I could say "turn left at the stop sign" the voice on the GPS said "turn left at the stop sign." I didn't have to say anything about directions. Instead I had a pleasant conversation with the driver who was courteous and fun to talk with. We made good time to the destination. The whole experience was enjoyable in every way. I realize this is totally opposite of the other reviews here but I can't explain why. Maybe it was a slower time of day (9:30 am)? Or I got lucky and had a polite driver? Maybe I got the nicest van and the others aren't as new? I don't know. But I'll certainly call again when I need a ride. read more

I don't understand how every time I try to make a schedule for something they're either booked solid or have nobody available until after 7 p.m. if he follows me because people need to go somewhere and if you're the only way for a person to have some Transportation you need to start start hiring people. Because this is not right to certain people especially when a person is try to even make a schedule the night before their event and you still have no driver to transport them that's ridiculous.
