It was a beautiful sunny warm day, so we decided to enjoy the flight outside. The grounds are beautiful. The place was not crowded when we visited. There was only one other couple visit visiting with two dogs. The one thing that bugged me, the samples were poured into "plastic". Next visit, I will speak up. Of the 6 wines, WE LOVED the "Reserved Chardonnay" $25 and "Reserved Cab. Franc" $45. Of course, our two favorites came home with us! Brook Hollow Winery is located right off of Route 80, just about on the Pennsylvania borderline.

It's now owned by a historical society and largely volunteer run. This is the kind of place that several generations of locals come to volunteer. If I lived nearby, I'd gladly volunteer and would love to lead a tour:-) The farm is quaint, cozy and affordable. It was $12 for adults for their 1.5 hour+ tour and Christmas presentation. $6 for children under 12. The crackling fire wood, the wet leaves crunching under your feet, and the friendly, welcome of the volunteers, who are excellent and clearly love this place, all made my experience five star. This historic farm is two hours from NYC, but worlds away, in a good way. I did a day trip but nearby affordable hotels abound. At the end of the tour, we were lead to their dining room, with a choice of hot cocoa or hot apple cider and two surprise (mine were snickerdoodle and molasses) cookies or a homemade Bavarian style pretzel. Free parking and I learned about the events they offer including farm to table in the summer and spooky nights during Halloween, to name a few. They cook with all the vegetables they grow and serve them at an outdoor meal. Check them out with your friends and family. You'll be glad you did.

My husband & I were in the Poconos for the first time and wanted to go to NYC. We had counted it out due to traffic until we met Peter and got information about the DayTrippers tour. We were so excited to be able to see so many sights in one day and the cost was very affordable. The orginal tour date was changed due to rain the forecast and we ended up going on a buetiful day. We were excited to visit so many places in our day trip. We saw the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, saw the Statue of Libety from the taxi boat,Rockafeller Center, Time Square, Wall Street, Grand Central Station, the Trinty Church, Library, Saint Patrick's Cathedral the brass bull and ate pizza right outside of times square. We did take public transportation into and out of the downtown which was an experience all in it's own. Thank you Perter and Annette for a most memorable and highly enjoyable day. While we drank our flights Vic would come over with water for us and checking to see if there was anything else we needed. He also was a gem and took tons of photos of us- so we could capture the fun moments of the day! We loved the wineries we stopped at and enjoyed that each place had its own unique vibe. We enjoyed being able to have a flexible schedule and stay longer at some spores than others. Our group was celebrating our friends bachelorette and it was a great tour to be able to hang out and drink tons of wine and not worry about transportation. We didn't buy tickets in advance, but it was unclear where to go to get tickets and meet the tour. On the parking lot level, they rent out rooms to third party businesses who will not help direct you. The street parking level (downstairs) has a bunch of small shops and the ticket area way in the back. This was all pretty unclear the day of. The hotel seems like a work in progress still, but it's nice it was saved. The Delaware Water Gap used to be a hip and happening place and most of those turn of the century hotels are gone now, so it's nice this was saved from demolition thanks to a second era as a music publishing company by Fred Waring (of blender fame) and a third era as a restoration project from a couple wanting to save its history. The tour goes through the old soda shoppe, outside for a little bit to see the general area, then into the event venue space/original lobby. It's too bad there are no restored hotel rooms to see or book at present. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and seeing the remnants of tourism a hundred years ago was cool. I hope as time goes on, more areas get restored to their more original look.

He had lots of famous people working with him including the writer of 'Conjunction Junction What's your Function'. The tour was just about and hour and definitely interesting! While you are there for the tour you can tour the shops, there is a nice assortment as well as an adorable Ice Cream shop. Definitely check the website before going, tours are only done on specific days. I felt the tour was a good value. There is limited off street parking, but on street parking it also available.

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. If you're an absolute beginner, it isn't a bad introduction to the world of snow sports. It's a small "mountain" and therefore very beginner friendly. They have a completely closed off area on one side that is entirely for beginners with conveyor lifts, very gentle and short slopes, and a short chairlift. There are also two green trails on the mountain designated as "slow skiing areas," though they might want to police them better as there were still several daredevils blasting by us. The whole process for rentals and lessons is a well-oiled machine and easy to navigate. My 11-year-old son had never been skiing or snowboarding before and was anxious to try. So this seemed like a logical spot to bring him. I had been here plenty of times as a kid in the 90's, but this was my first time back in decades. We came on a Sunday in March and arrived at 7:30. It was already crowded with cars and people at that point but we still got a good parking spot and picking up rental equipment was no problem. My son enjoyed his snowboarding lesson and was loving how quickly he was learning. I bought a lift pass for me + helmet rental, and a beginner package for him (this included snowboard/helmet rental, one hour lesson, and restricted lift ticket). All together this was $293, which seems wildly overpriced for the mountain we were on, especially considering my son was stuck to the beginner area all day unless we upgraded his lift ticket. But I guess this price is common in the skiing industry these days, and I hate to think what the big mountains out west are charging. If you're an experienced skier/snowboarder and live close by, it's probably not a bad place to get in a quick fix. As an experienced skier myself, it was a pleasant day on the slopes, but got a little boring after awhile. If I'm going to pay an arm and a leg, fight hordes of people all day, and drive for a few hours to get there, I'd rather do so on a bigger and more challenging mountain.

There is so much natural scenery, beautiful trees, trails, and gorgeous surroundings that you can really appreciate the beauty of the area just by walking around. It was a great place to slow down, enjoy nature, take some pictures, and just take in the scenery. You can tell there is a lot to explore, and we definitely didn't get to experience everything during our visit. Even though we missed the main attraction this time, we left excited to come back rather than disappointed. We are definitely planning another visit, and next time we'll make sure to get there much earlier so we have plenty of time to explore the trails and finally see the famous waterfalls. Bushkill Falls is definitely going back on our list of places to visit. The grounds alone were beautiful enough to make the trip worthwhile, and I can only imagine how incredible the falls and hiking trails are when you have enough time to experience everything. If you're visiting the Poconos or traveling through Pennsylvania, this is definitely a place worth putting on your list. Just make sure you arrive early enough to enjoy everything! There are 3-4 different loops and based on the time you have you can choose one path .. yellow loops are average difficulty .. it does have some path which is a little steep steps, but not difficult for middle age people.. might be a little stressful for elderly people with knee pain issues.. there is also a red loop which is a lot more of Walk and takes more time.. there are maps showing each path and approximate distance.. parking is a bit crazy, especially near the entrance.. parking is free.. tickets are about $21 which isn't too bad . Liked it overall .

After that I think you get emailed a waiver which every driver needs to sign and then you're good to go. 877stockcar.com/experiences/pocono-slingshot-rentals/ Sign some more stuff, have your card ready for the $750 hold they put on it for liability concerns, get fitted for a helmet, get some basic instruction about how to operate the vehicle and then you're off. The website shows six pre-planned routes. Day of, these routes are in the glove box on a laminated card with QR codes that you scan with your phone if you wish to follow one of them. Ideally, you hook up your phone to the car via USB/Bluetooth or of course you can fly blind and go where you want as long as you're back by the end of the rental period. With that said, we loaded up the State Park Ride and kid you not, the first stop out of the nine takes you nowhere. You come to a small stone road that is chained off with nothing there except a small admin. building for the state forestry service. After that brief hiccup, we mostly followed the rest and had a decent experience particularly at Big Pocono State Park and Promised Land State Park. At the end you do need to return the vehicle with a full tank and yes, they want you to only use premium. For a sense of scope, we did the eight-hour rental and drove I forget how many miles and it cost about $17 to refill the tank before we returned the car. Overall, this is a hell of a lot of fun. I mean sure there are a few quirks as in the automatic car we used downshifted fairly rough and when idling at times you can definitely pick up the exhaust fumes from the engine, but that stuff is very minor and there is really nothing to do here except have fun and explore.
