I hate to leave bad reviews, I'm just feeling a bit scammed by this place. The main reason I booked was the high ratings, so I felt confident going into this. However their white trolley was in the shop. I asked 4 times where the trolley was before they finally told me. No mention of this even though Peter called the day before to get me to pay more for him to pick us up. I can't stand pushy men, he also followed us into our rental, when my friend insisted on carrying the pizza. If you are a woman planning a bachelorette, maybe think twice. Update: I also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office. This kind of false advertisement needs to be stopped, a communication about the trolley is the only thing I expected. This is worded no where that a shuttle will be used in place of a trolley. read more

THIS!!!! What a terrific experience this was. This is the smartest & inexpensive way to get a day out with your friends, while someone else drives you around, it's a win win. Our driver was Clyde, quite man who must be half out of his mind as he has to concentrate on driving while the entire bus is dancing,singing,&having a great time. Felicia is on board to try to get the party started, she was such a fun, nice woman, definitely perfect for her job. I attended with 3 others friends to celebrate my birthday & this made the start of our night in PA a blast. Tour guide and driver were great! However, tour was impacted because we had to go back and get people that didn't show up in time. This put us 30 minutes behind schedule. Several families were impacted. Management shouldn't have asked us to come back and get the persons. read more

Recommended for first time visitors wanting to get a lay of the land. Also good on damp days bc the trolley has plastic roll down windows to keep you dry. read more

We did a trip that was for the Delaware Water Gap--or so we thought. According to the itinerary it looked like we would get information on the Delaware Water Gap. We drove through the town and pointed out one place. Then we drove through the park. There not a whole lot of information about the area--which is rich in history regarding it being a resort area in a bygone era. It mentioned about the size and location of one of the resorts. Let me back track, we started 15 minutes late due to confusion about where to meet the trolley--it is confusing. We start the tour and there is a microphone problem--I think I would have been checking this the 15 minutes we were waiting. We drove through the Shawnee Resort and were told quite a few bits of information--I don't know the dates (I'm talking centuries) were correct--it was interesting. We didn't stop in Delaware Water Gap, but we did stop for 25 minutes in Portland, PA. The attraction was to walk a bridge from PA into NJ and to visit a tiny chocholatier. Nothing else but a secondhand store and a Dunkin Donuts were open and it was a sad little town, that at one time was prosperous. And then we traveled to an old church that had been turned into a museum. A bit interesting, but not what I expected or wanted to do. The bus driver asked/commented about how it was so interesting, and I could not bite my tongue and replied that I didn't see the point of stopping. It was estimated that the tour would be 1.5 to 2 hours long. It was over 2.5 hours. A woman behind us commented that she just wanted to go home. The bus driver and tour guide were very nice. I would not do this tour again. I have been on other tours in different cities and that were good, this was disappointing. read more

Me and my 3 girlfriends did the Slate Belt Tour on 05/18/24 for my 40th Birthday. I have a friend that is in a wheelchair and they were accommodating and provided a small bus that had the wheelchair lift! Also, the bus driver for every stop would help my friend get on and off the bus, and also wheel the chair in and out of each stop! I was very impressed! (Don't worry, they do also have the Trolley if that is what you want, just that its not handicap accessible) The scenery on this tour was beautiful and amazing! I enjoyed the variety, and the fact that there were 2 wineries, a brewery, and a hard cider place! And the brewery had a full lunch menu, also the other stops had food trucks or charcuterie board! Not only that but they charge only $75 a person (before fees) for 4 stops, and other companies I looked at charged $90+ for only 2-3 stops! I suggested this tour to my parents since they also enjoy this kind of thing and its definitely worth the trip! For an extra $25 a person, they will pick you up at your specific hotel (if you cant drive to the destination they list) and drive you back to your hotel! Its totally worth it! I took Peter's day trip charter bus tour from the Poconos to NYC. Our trip was well organized and went smoothly! The charter bus we took was very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend taking this tour. There is no way we could have seen so many areas of the city this quickly on our own even with lots of planning. Peter genuinely knows NYC. Things that I loved: - You can take a cooler on the charter bus with snacks and beer. You stop by the bus periodically throughout the day. - I was also able to charge my phone and leave my belongings on the bus which made it so more feasible for me to carry my camera and enjoy the city. - No ticket lines for getting into the museums. - Peter has alot of good knowledge that he shared and we were still allowed alot of free time to wander at each stop. This was sold as a haunted tour for the stroud, eastburg,Shawnee area. Most of the info was very non specific and was like he read a bad script. He drove like he was rushed. I get schedules but he blasted by a house that was a decorated and people in costume waving. Such a shame. There is amazing history haunted and otherwise in Shawnee. Lot to pay for a ticket that was not fun. I do hope they step up their game for regular tours. read more

I will start this review by saying we had a blast. However, we asked to be picked up and dropped off at our airbnb so we did not have to drive. Peter told us pick up was around 12pm in order to get to our first stop by 12:30pm. By 12:10pm we called Peter as no one came to pick us up, We were told to wait another 20 minutes due to traffic, at 12:36pm still no pick up, we call back and are now told to be ready around 1pm. Finally get picked up at 1:05pm, a little over a hour after our original pick up time. The women who were in the van were picked up before us and told us they were also picked up late and were told it was due to an accident. We finally got to the first winery around 1:30pm which cut into our time there. We also paid $30 per person for pick up/drop off and the others in the group paid $20 and their airbnb was further away. Just wish this was more organized. The rest of the day was smooth and we had so much fun. read more

Joyce was amazing! She picked us up for a slight additional cost from our Air BNB and dropped us off after. She had great energy, checked in on us throughout the tour, and took pictures of the group at the different spots. Peter was also great with communication and answered any questions we had about the experience ahead of time. The last vineyard M&M had lovely people but their wine was awful unfortunately. I really enjoyed Peter as our tour guide for the wine tasting and as our personal guide for the Maze. My Air Force Veteran Sisters and I visited the Poconos for a Girls Trip. We visited four Wineries and one Cider Tasting establishment. We stayed at the Villas at Tree Top and Fairway and Peter was the recommended tour guide for the Wine Tasting. He personally came to pick us up from the main office and the other guests were pleasant. We had a great time as he guided us and he also had a great relationship with the wineries. Peter ordered our food for us and delivered it as well. For part II the Maze he came to pick us up at our residence in a white limo and delivered several bottles of wine courtesy of the winery owners. We felt special as we celebrated our Air Force Sisterhood. The entire time Peter was the perfect gentleman and was very accommodating. Which saw each side of the Pocono mountains stopped at a delicious homemade chocolate store walked across the bridge the lead over to New Jersey. The three stops for the wine tasting were beautiful and different in each location. Peter even took us to Silver back bar and we enjoyed a nice drink there. If I could give a 10 star review, I would!! We booked the NYC day tour through our Wyndham resort in the Poconos. Peter was so nice from the beginning! His bus driver, Clyde was also nice and friendly. They are both from New York City so they were very knowledgeable and were easily able to adapt to traffic issues or closed streets. Peter gave us the history of each place we visited. He loves history and shared so many fun facts with us about Manhattan. My family of 6 had the best time! It was me, my husband, our two daughters and our grandparents. This was a very well planned out tour! In one day we were able to visit all of the main attractions of Manhattan beginning at Central Park and ending at Times Square. Our tour even included a ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty and Subway rides from Grand Central Station. Peter took us to Bleeker Street Pizza which was delicious! We went to Cones Ice Cream shop for some great ice cream. We also went to a bakery and we got to experience the famous Juniors Cheesecakes. Peter even let us take our girls to FAO Schwarz Toy Store at Rockerfeller Center. He was also considerate of our grandparents and had the bus available at times when they needed to sit down. Peter captured so many pictures of our family and we have these memories forever! Thank you Peter and Clyde!! You really made our vacation special and memorable! There arent enough words to describe how much fun I had with this company. I had no idea what to expect, and every single employee made the trip beyond incredible. Peter is amazing and really made sure we were taken of and everything was handled and it was greatly appreciated. Felicia and Clyde led the trolly ride and they were incredible! I usually do not write reviews but after my experience with PoconoDayTripper.com I had to! I was looking for a day ski trip near the NYC area and I found the site through the Ski Shawnee mountain site. I couldn't be happier with what I found. After looking at the site and what the company had to offer, I had a few questions about timing and bus travel so I decided to call the company. I was called back immediately by the owner, Peter. I could tell right away that he was a genuine and honest guy who truly wants his customers to enjoy their day. Setting up and confirming travel was as easy as a PayPal payment, an email and a confirmation text the day of travel. The bus ride from port Authority in NYC to the Delaware Water Gap bus terminal was about 80 minutes and Peter was there waiting for us (and the two other people using the service) and drove us to Shawnee mountain. It was only a 10 minute drive and Peter told us about some other attractions in the area. Upon arrival to the mountain, Peter checked us in, got us set up with lift tickets and our rentals, and told us to enjoy our day. And that we did. Shawnee is a great mountain, especially if you are a beginner like me. The lesson was well run and the instructors are very helpful. At the end of our day, we simply texted Peter and he came back to pick us up from the mountain to take us back to the bus terminal. It was such a stress free, easy, and enjoyable day.
