After I helped my wife pick out a handgun I felt she could handle, I was ready to pay for it. The smart-ass guy said I had to sign for it. I told him that it's my wife's gun and I want her to sign for it. I felt that it would be a hassle if she was carrying it and it was in my name. Plus, I wanted her to feel like it was Her's. She really didn't like to handle my handguns. But he said I had to sign for it. Why? My wife was in her 50's. No Police record. A US Citizen. He gave some bullshit because I picked it out, I had to buy it. I told him I already purchased 2 handguns in that store. But still he refused to sell it to her. He was enjoying doing so. Then I realized why. He a racist. My wife is Columbian. Even though she came her legally at the age of 2 years old and holds a US Military ID because I am a US Army Veteran of 25 years and we have been together for 31 years. I walked out and never returned. I even wrote to Jere Dunkelberger and he didn't care less. And I see I'm not the only one who had this problem in their store. After filling out the paperwork I paid for the gun and left. I returned on Monday and was told I couldn't get the gun because the permit had expired on Sunday. When I questioned why this hadn't been completed they started lecturing me on NJ laws. The manager, who told me of a family problem, started shouting at me, became aggressive and threatened to call police and have me escorted out of the store. This is not the type of business I would ever patronize again.

I told Chris right out of the gate I am new to rifles and he gave me a crash course in operation and takedown before I left with the shop. I felt very comfortable asking questions that more experience people may have thought were dumb. Several days after purchasing the weapon a very weird problem occurred with it. The latch pin that holds the dust cover closed shot out when I charged it. Just one of those weird, rare things that never happens, definitely not anything to do with the quality of the gun or anything like that. I stopped in and told Chris and he handed me a whole brand new dust cover with all the parts and offered to put it on for me without a problem. They have a nice selection for a smaller family owned shop with great prices. Definitely stop in if you're in the market for a gun, gear, or ammo. Thanks for reading.
