Lots to choose from and it's all delicious!

I absolutely love this place! I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. It's been around for over 30 years, and it's easy to see why-everything is made to order with fresh, delicious ingredients. The menu offers so many authentic dishes that it's hard to choose just one favorite. The agua frescas are amazing, and their chips and salsa are hands down my favorite. The service is just as great as the food--Jess is always fun and friendly to chat with, and the owner, Gloria, is wonderful and truly takes care of her customers. The vibe is super chill with good music always playing, and they even have a fun karaoke night on weekends from 8pm until close. Parking is easy too--if the lot is full, there's extra parking next door by Wienerschnitzel. Whether you're dining in, picking up, or ordering takeout, you really can't go wrong here. Highly recommend-you won't be disappointed!

Cada que se me antojan platillos caseros y faltan las ganas de cocinar, vamos a Poco's. El pozole está riquísimo y auténtico, el servicio es muy atento y el ambiente súper familiar. ¡Siempre quedamos contentos!

My mom was looking for a authentic Mexican restaurant that made cocido soup, and we searched on Yelp and found Poco's. It's a very popular place and well known in the community with a lot of patrons coming. The food was quite delicious and reasonable with very good quality. I ordered the guacamole, and fish ceviche and it was to my liking. The fish was very fresh and seasoned well. Also, the salsa and chips are good you just may want to add a tiny bit of salt but it still was solid and chunky just how I like it. The guacamole was also good without the tomatoes and chunky like I like it! My mom definitely recommends the cocido soup with the half beans and rice as the side. She said her food was very tasty and the beans were soft and good for her taste buds. The ambience is not modern or updated, but it's decent. The service was ok the waitress only spoke Spanish, but her other colleagues helped her out to understand the order. Later on more workers came that did know English so it made the experience better. Overall, they were all pleasant. I will be back to try more food for sure! They have a menu with so much! No complaints with the food either. They have a parking lot where you can park.

If you're looking for well seasoned seafood this place might not be for you. We went here on a Sunday around noon and we ordered a campechana and camarones a la plancha and neither plate had much flavor. We paid $55 for the 2 orders previously mentioned and 2 fountain cokes. The inside of the restaurant is festive and not too loud. The service was attentive. There was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

The building called The Chateau, a giant white colonial office complex on Ventura Blvd. between…read moreWinnetka and De Soto, has always seemed wildly out of place in the San Fernando Valley. But after more than 4 decades, this hulking structure reminiscent of a New England governor's mansion, has finally found its true purpose: to be the home of Lobster Guys, a Maine-style lobster shack now nestled in the Northeast corner of the facade. In contrast to the immensity of the building, Lobster Guys is a cozy shop with just 3 tables inside and a diminutive kitchen cranking out a mid-sized menu of Lobster Rolls, chowders, salads and a few other sandwiches. What little wall space there is has been deftly decorated with pieces of distressed, seaside bric-a-brac, giving the place a real sense of New England. And with the Summer sun streaming through the colonial-style windows, you really forget that you're dining between a Porsche dealer and a Target. They've got both styles of lobster roll available (Maine, cold w/mayo, or Connecticut, warm w/melted butter), as well as a crab roll and a version that's a mix of both crustaceans. All are served on the traditional, flat-sided bun grilled in butter. I opted to have my roll Maine style with the cold lobster salad, and found it to be a generous portion. The structure of those buns makes it easy to rest the lobster on its top, making the sandwich look fuller than it is -- but not here!! Lobster Guys really gives you your money's worth of lobster, and that's even with their prices running about $7 cheaper than what's offered at some of the well-known places in Malibu. The lobster meat was fresh and flavorful; properly cooked, so the texture was pleasing. I found the lobster salad to have a bit too much mayo, but it wasn't enough to ruin the meal. A lady sitting next to me had the warm butter version, and I think I'll try that next time. I added a small side of French Fries, and they were nicely crisped and seasoned, though the ketchup dispenser was almost out, and what emerged was watery -- but, as there was only one person working the entire shop, I decided to forget the ketchup and just enjoy them "naked." They were just fine without it. If you want to dine al fresco, there are a number of tables outside, situated in spaces within the colonnade. Again, if you face towards the building, you'll feel like you're on the East Coast (if you can ignore the traffic on Ventura Blvd. just a few feet away). In the end, while the food and service could use a few tweaks, this is a terrific addition to the neighborhood, and a place to get a really enjoyable bite that's just not that common in this part of the city. Do go!

This is exactly the kind of small business you want to support. The flavors were unlike anything I've had before, and I loved getting to try something so different. My favorite dish was easily the grilled fish. It reminded me of the Filipino grilled fish I grew up eating, so it had a comforting familiarity while still showcasing its own distinct Indonesian flavors.
