I really wish this place was better since I love teriyaki beef but they really need to step it up. This is a solid spot for teriyaki if you are in the area but they either need to improve their quality, lower their prices, or give more generous portions. I ordered the rib plate and got two thin pieces of beef rib. They were also a bit dry and disappointing. Service was great and I really hope they improve. The second, and third visit the food appeared to be inconsistent compared to the first time. I was a bit disappointed. The beef was old, and tasted stale with an overly chewy texture and wasn't even hot. I decided to give them another chance and come back a fourth time. Still not good. Maybe it's only good during rush periods where they sell a lot and the food is prepared fresh. Food is great. But the pricing is INSANE! Today I paid $18 for a large chicken teriyaki bowl. I can get filet mignon at Fogo de Chao for that price. They charge more for vegetables so they put veggies instead of rice and they charge extra for using a credit card and they charge extra for the teriyaki sauce! It's insane! I would go back but they are insane on pricing. There are much cheaper and just as good places on Ventura Blvd which costs more than the dumpy area they are in! Came here on whim based off of all the Yelp reviews. At first, the reviewers were talking about Golden Burger. So when I got there, I couldn't find Golden Burger and kept on checking on the address to make sure it's the same place. It's now called Teriyaki Bowl & Burger. I ended up ordering the teriyaki chicken and beef. I have to say that this is one of the best I've had. Reminds me of Waba Grill a lot. I like that they cut up the chicken here and serve it with green onions and sesame seeds. The sauce is also very good. It's not overly salty like Teriyaki Plus in Chatsworth. I wish I could give this place a 5 star rating however I was charged for something and did not get in my order correcteven after I spoke with cashier. Given my 30 minute lunch I should of opened my plate at the restaurant to request the missing fries but I was in a hurry, lesson learned. We had a few hiccups at the cash register, but it all worked out fine. The staff are very nice and anxious to please. There was an A from the health department on the window which is always good to see!! Note that there is a 60 cent charge to use a credit card. Requesting white meat costs $1.57 more.
