Chicken fajitas and some old lettuce in the sauce
    Agnes K.

Came here for dinner with my husband . He had the bacon wrapped shrimp, he liked it he gave it a 3.5 stars . I ordered the chicken fajitas. Not what i was expecting at all. It was spicy but blah, did not look or taste what I was expecting, the chicken was in a red spicy sauce , did not try the refried beans because it had lard but tried the beans - lacked flavor . The guacamole was good but was better once we mixed the pico de gallo in it and added some lime. Husband had a modelo. Paid $70 plus tip. I am all about supporting local businesses but this place need major improvement. At 9:30 the music stooped and everyone started vacuuming and mopping around u made us uncomfortable. Also - I do not want to make assumptions but how did old lettuce get into the fajita sauce ? Sorry but we wont be back .

First, the owner is an absolute sweety. He is so hospitable and the staff is very generous and hospitable . It's almost kind of nurturing how attentive they all are. Extremely kind. Now the food is another thing in itself . Absolutely amazing and fresh! I have been to several Mariscos spots and I feel like they don't get the recognition they deserve . It's extremely delicious and made so fresh and yummy. I love ordering the shrimp ceviche even their oysters are so fresh and yummy. I also came to watch the World Cup game and it was excellent to sit eat and watch . Highly highly highly recommend . I've been coming here for years and they're the best

Que Rico la verdad! Stopped by with a couple of friends on Monday for the early lunch rush. But also to help get back on the groove of the week from the weekend Lol We ordered Tostada Mixta and ceviche de Pescaso and I of course had to order the A la Diabla Camarones con Arroz Frijoles y ensalada. Very tasty not spicy to the point that you can't continue to eat Lol because we have all had those. Ordered some fish tacos to go for my bf and I got no complaints. Lol Ambiance was good not too busy or slow but again it was Monday. Parking very easy big enough shopping center very spacious. See you again soon, Thank you so much.

Saw this place and heard about it! Wanted to try some ceviche since the place I went to is now closed. So I ordered the fish ceviche, and a mixed ceviche Togo. I forgot to take a pic of it when I got home because I was hungry, but I did finish it. The ceviche was just ok I felt that it could have had more flavor to be all the way real. It did not have enough seasoning to me. I did put a lot of Tapatio and lime to make it more tasteful. I thought it would have been better, but overall the ceviche was not that great to me. The service was decent, nothing too crazy since I just did a Togo order. The ambiance was just ok nothing too spectacular. It was pretty clean inside and spacious. It's good to come for family dinner and regular outings. They do have other food options that looked good that others had on their table, but I am not sure if I will come back to try. On the other hand, easy to find and not difficult to park. -Marshay

    Fish Tacos Combo Plate

Shared parking lot. Nice air conditioning. Complimentary seafood vegetable soup, which was delicious. Extensive menu, featuring seafood, but there are chicken, beef and pork options. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the fish tacos combo plate. The fish was cooked to perfection. Ok, bye.

I got my food surprisingly quick. At a mariscos or Latin restaurant I usually expect a semilong wait but not here. I had the lobster, the lobster alone filled me up. I couldn't finish the rice. The mojarra was also good. It a good spot to take the family out. I bought three dishes with some aguas frescas and it came out to a little over 100.

Burrito de Camarones (Shrimp burrito). Fork is for reference.

This was my first time eating a this place. I wasn't quite sure what to get, but after looking through their delicious menu items, I settled on the shrimp burrito. When my burrito arrived, I didn't know where to start. First off, it was HUGE! (see photo for reference). I wasn't sure if I should eat it, or name it and take it home (Haha!) I ended up cutting it in half for better control. My first bite, and I taste all the flavor. The ingredients were fresh, the shrimp was nice and crispy. You can hear the snap as you bit into each bite of the burrito. It was loaded with whole shrimp. I will have to come back and try some of their seafood plates.

    Shrimp Taco?

The food was different from what I expected. I ordered shrimp tacos, but they turned out to be fajita shrimp tacos. The flavor wasn't bad, but it wasn't the typical shrimp taco I was hoping for. Friendly staff.

The building called The Chateau, a giant white colonial office complex on Ventura Blvd. between…read moreWinnetka and De Soto, has always seemed wildly out of place in the San Fernando Valley. But after more than 4 decades, this hulking structure reminiscent of a New England governor's mansion, has finally found its true purpose: to be the home of Lobster Guys, a Maine-style lobster shack now nestled in the Northeast corner of the facade. In contrast to the immensity of the building, Lobster Guys is a cozy shop with just 3 tables inside and a diminutive kitchen cranking out a mid-sized menu of Lobster Rolls, chowders, salads and a few other sandwiches. What little wall space there is has been deftly decorated with pieces of distressed, seaside bric-a-brac, giving the place a real sense of New England. And with the Summer sun streaming through the colonial-style windows, you really forget that you're dining between a Porsche dealer and a Target. They've got both styles of lobster roll available (Maine, cold w/mayo, or Connecticut, warm w/melted butter), as well as a crab roll and a version that's a mix of both crustaceans. All are served on the traditional, flat-sided bun grilled in butter. I opted to have my roll Maine style with the cold lobster salad, and found it to be a generous portion. The structure of those buns makes it easy to rest the lobster on its top, making the sandwich look fuller than it is -- but not here!! Lobster Guys really gives you your money's worth of lobster, and that's even with their prices running about $7 cheaper than what's offered at some of the well-known places in Malibu. The lobster meat was fresh and flavorful; properly cooked, so the texture was pleasing. I found the lobster salad to have a bit too much mayo, but it wasn't enough to ruin the meal. A lady sitting next to me had the warm butter version, and I think I'll try that next time. I added a small side of French Fries, and they were nicely crisped and seasoned, though the ketchup dispenser was almost out, and what emerged was watery -- but, as there was only one person working the entire shop, I decided to forget the ketchup and just enjoy them "naked." They were just fine without it. If you want to dine al fresco, there are a number of tables outside, situated in spaces within the colonnade. Again, if you face towards the building, you'll feel like you're on the East Coast (if you can ignore the traffic on Ventura Blvd. just a few feet away). In the end, while the food and service could use a few tweaks, this is a terrific addition to the neighborhood, and a place to get a really enjoyable bite that's just not that common in this part of the city. Do go!

Since we were completely new to Indonesian cuisine, they patiently answered our questions and gave us great recommendations, which made the experience even better. This is exactly the kind of small business you want to support. The flavors were unlike anything I've had before, and I loved getting to try something so different. My favorite dish was easily the grilled fish. It reminded me of the Filipino grilled fish I grew up eating, so it had a comforting familiarity while still showcasing its own distinct Indonesian flavors. If you're looking for authentic Indonesian food or simply want to try something new, I highly recommend LaaLaaPan. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.
